  1. Not sure how that wasn't a hold on Kyle. Two guys held him.
  2. He's missed 7 games in 3 years. Not sure I'd go that far.
  3. Looks like it has to be head, neck or shoulder.
  4. Didn't know that was a T-Shirt. Going to have to find that.
  5. My two least favorite uni combinations. The blue jersey and white pants is the sharpest uni in the league, Imo.
  6. I think this might be the only unlocked thread on the front page.
  7. I thought they were talking about the crowd for the Colts game. I agree, I'm not sure they'd boo the pre-season.
  8. I've always thought Rivers looked like a huge douche. Of the three he's the one that annoys me the most.
  9. I think the only QB the crowd will tolerate struggles from is TT. If EJ or Cassel struggle I think they'll be quick with the Boooooooooos.
  10. Normally, I'd say it would hurt because its a new offense and every game rep the QB can get with the #1s is a big plus. IMO its more important than making your opponent prepare for multiple QBs. In this instance, though, I dont think this is true as the top 3 WRs arent going to play and Clay may not play as well so getting on the same page with your primary targets isnt going to happen anyway. Given the depleted WR corps, I'd say Rex and Co. are making the right call in splitting the reps and keeping people guessing. I dont see much, if any, harm in it.
  11. Simms has no chance to be on the 53. Zero. Simms has a chance of hanging on with the practice squad and that's it.
  12. I'm not sold on any of the QBs but I'm fairly confident one of them will be able to get the job done once the bullets start flying for real. Which one I don't know and I don't know if it'll take a QB getting benched to get the right one in there. Right now I'm thinking that the coaching staff will go with Cassel to start the season with the idea that he'll get yanked if he starts the season slowly.
  13. Yeah, this is where I stand. I think the saying it borderline idiotic. If a player is trying as hard as he can - on the field and in the film room - what more can he do? If the team is failing while doing that it's on the head coach. A HC should be trying to inspire his players to be the best they can be. Not say to them, "if we fail it's because your best sucked."
  14. If Rex is mismanaging his QB personnel by wasting time showcasing a player as a starter in the 3rd pre-season game this team is in big trouble. I don't think this team is in big trouble...
  15. So, according to you, the Pack drafts Hundley, he plays well, and he is likely to be released. Something isnt adding up here.
  16. You're saying this in response - and it appears agreeing with - the statement that EJ can't throw a 20 yard out?! Just because nobody is going to go look through game footage doesn't mean he can't throw it. You guys have to be the only ones trying to argue that EJ doesn't have a live arm. There are many things to pick on with EJ's game, his arm strength isn't one. Hell, even his scouting reports coming out of college mention his strong arm. You make yourselves, and your arguments, look foolish when you can't even have a level headed discussion.
  17. Sure they can. If EJ and/or TT plays very well this game and Cassel struggles yet they name Cassel the starter. I might take issue with the "fairness" of the comp if that happened.
  18. You're posting won-loss records, I'm talking about consistent play from the QB position. Is anybody going to say Dalton, Romo, Flacco and Kaep have been consistent? Those guys are the poster children of inconsistency for young QBs. It doesn't mean you can't win with them as they learn, it just means you have to be patient and accept their lows and hope it gets better (which for Flacco and Romo it did.) I'd even go so far as to say Luck was pretty inconsistent his first two years. Granted, he turns it on at the right times and when he's good, he's amazing, but he also forces the ball and makes some head scratching decisions - which is to be expected from a young QB, even one as talented as Luck.
  19. He didn't say he couldn't make the throw he said compare them and see the difference. That's not even an opposite hash throw and it's still not exactly a rope. TT has an advantage over Manuel in a few places, arm strength isn't one of them. Not sure how stating that is "putting down TT." That's like saying that stating TT is a better runner than EJ is putting down EJ. It's just a fact.
  20. People are kidding themselves if they think TT is going to step in and give them a consistent product. He's going to struggle too. It's what inexperienced QBs do (unless your name is Aaron Rogers.) The only one who will be consistent is Cassel. Consistently mediocre.
  21. I watched that episode last night and all I could think of when O'Brian informed Hoyer and Mallet was, "Damn, the Bills are going to name Cassel the starter, aren't they?" O'Brian kept saying, "consistency" and not once did I see him mention any of Mallet's advantages. He even said that their consistency wasn't that different. If it's not that different why go with Hoyer?!! Coaches would rather get the known, crappy, commodity, than go with the unknown.
