  1. Rex and Anthony Lynn.
  2. Wow! Big congrats, Rex!
  3. Marrone wasn't the HC still in waiting in summer 2014. He had already lived through a very messy QB situation in 2013, and he wasn't about to do it again.
  4. Yes, I say DW was fortunate that Orton was available. The situation was DW's mess, and I give Marrone credit for forcing the issue. If he hadn't, DW would've happily gone with the same 3 QB's, keeping his golden boy EJ as the undisputed #1 all season long.
  5. Well, for one, I don't think he would've signed Kevin friggin Kolb in 2013 wtf. But if whatever vet he added got hurt before training camp started, he wouldn't have gone into the season with a raw #1 draft pick and 2 completely unproven scrubs. Anyone with any significant kind of game experience had to be added, and it didn't happen. Pick a name? I'd say anyone who started at least 8-10 games in the league not named JP would've been a far better approach. Even if Polian had blundered on the QB position in 2013, there's no way in hell he would've gone into training camp with the same 3 QBs in 2014. Very fortunate for DW that Orton was available after Marrone forced him to finally make a move. Polian would also not have drafted EJ in the first place. I don't blame Nix or Whaley for making the pick, but the fact that EJ is still on this team is 100% owned by DW. If Polian had indeed drafted EJ, he would've cut his losses and moved on from him a long time ago. Now, all the above is responding to your question of how I think Polian would'be handled the QB position differently. The only reason I brought his name up in the first place was if he came here in 2015 as the czar. I think it's clear that Polian was/is not impressed at all with DW as a GM, and he would've sent DW packing.
  6. I remember they did the Na Na Na Na Na Na song, and everyone was either really pissed or just bumming except for this one guy in a SabresJak who was jamming to it. This drunk Canadian kept poking him in the back with a Canadian flag, but missed and ending up hitting a girl who was sitting in the face with it. She wasn't hurt, but her boyfriend got up and tried to break the flag over his knee, but he couldn't do it lol. Since Perry didn't get cold-cocked by a flying whiskey bottle, that was the only thing I enjoyed about the set.
  7. Yep. His handling of the QB position in 2013 AND 2014 were grounds for dismissal all by themselves. Polian would've thrown DW to the curb if he ended up coming here after all.
  8. I've never met him, but I've heard him speak several times.
  9. You could always talk about his poor communication skills. Also, it's been awhile since anyone ranted about his inability to get along with coaching staffs. Whatever you do end up with, I will definitely check it out.
  10. Only after he's fired. Just remember, the organization is always right.
  11. Thorogood was epic, playing in those conditions. No one was in the mood for any Journey, not at all. I remember another one, Blue Oyster Cult with Blotto opening in1982. I had never heard any Blotto tunes, but I thought they were from WNY and I heard they were pretty good... so I pumped them up with everyone that was going, "Cult & Blotto from Buffalo, gonna be a great show!" Well, BOC are always great, but Blotto was horrible, embarrassingly bad. For weeks after that show, whenever anyone would see me, they'd say "Hey Blotto, how's it going?"
  12. Read the thread title again.
  13. Corey Graham??? wtf Maybe you're thinking of The Duke.
  14. I really liked Youboty, what a disappointment he ended up being. James Hardy coming out of IU too.
  15. All smack aside, I can't blame Whaley for drafting Sammy and not considering future injury problems. Signing Charles Clay to all that jack is a much different story though.
  16. Landry - Tannehill
  17. No. Yes. Yes. Feel free to make changes to the medical / training staff if they aren't doing their job, but the buck doesn't stop there.
  18. Yep. I'd trade Sammy and Kujo for Mack and Jarvis Landry right now. Too bad the Bills didn't have a crystal ball.
  19. Best was Sex Pistols at the Trump Borgata, Atlantic City 2003. Every song a classic, all killer no filler. Just on the edge of the mosh about 15-20 feet directly in front of Steve Jones; of course, Johnny was all over the place. 9:30 Club show in DC that year was great too, but I was further away from the stage. Worst was Journey opening for the Stones at Rich in 1981, trapped because it was general admission and you couldn't leave your spot... and soaked from the torrential downpour. They were beyond brutal. Worst headliner was Yes in 1979, Don't Kill The Whale smh...
  20. I'm not a Marrone fan AT ALL, but Whaley was/is more of a problem. If they got a legitimate czar/GM to run things, (theoretically)Pegs wouldn't be hiring coaches and (theoretically) Brandon would truly be out of the picture. Marrone would most likely have been gone after 2015, and the team as a whole would be much further along then they are now.
  21. I think this team would've been better off if Marrone was the one to stay and Whaley was the one to go. Not much better off, but closer to turning things around, depending on the czar.
  22. Look 3 posts up, it was a Disney World pothole.
  23. As always, thanks for the scoop!
  24. Sammy is obviously the better player, but it did take 2 #1's and a #4 to get him, whereas it only took a single #1 to get Maybin.
