  1. Thanks, good article. Fake GM Mando. He’s right though, that team needs a tear down and rebuild bad. It hasn’t been 17 years since they made the playoffs, but they have clearly been going nowhere for a long, long time.
  2. Yeah, big difference, like night and day. Yolo’s “scoops” are appreciated, but honestly I read him more for his takes.
  3. Going thru this thread, I am reminded for the first time in many, many years of the Continental Football League from back in the late 60’s when I was a kid. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_Football_League Never saw a game, but I would read about them in the back of my Street and Smith mags. Pretty interesting names were associated with them, like Jackie Robinson.
  4. Classic case of “all he needs is more time.”
  5. I don’t know if it was my worst, but I was really annoyed with friggin Pos instead of David Harris. Thanks Marv.
  6. Debbie Downers trying to kill a good thread. I say: Less insight, More incite please.
  7. I don’t think the Beatles made an album as great as Exile on Main Street or Sticky Fingers. Aftermath, Beggars Banquet, and Let It Bleed are debatable.
  8. You can play could’ve/would’ve/should’ve with Henry Ellard all you want, but the bottom line is that he didn’t. That’s why no one remembers him. This thread was the first time in many many years that I’ve seen anyone anywhere even mention him. Deion Branch is another WR from the Patriots who was SB MVP for a great game, just like Edelman. No one remembers Branch now, but I do believe that if Edelman puts up a couple more big playoff performances, including rings, that he will be in the conversation, that’s all. Right now, I would rate him above Branch but not there yet.
  9. I can really speak for myself, I guess. You’re close but not quite there. To me, it’s about self-appointed Voice of Authority’s who believe they are always right. If they have a track record of being close to always right, they have earned that stance, and I have nothing but love and respect. ... but if their takes are brutally bad like say AKC and this guy, I can only laugh, which is why I find this thread so entertaining. The sheer number of posts is just fodder for more cheap laughs.
  10. Office with Michael Scott > P&R P&R > Office without Michael Scott Pretty much anything halfway decent > Office with James Spader, he needs a punch in the face.
  11. This is the Hall of FAME, and stats in-and-of-themselves do not make you famous. No one outside of their team’s fan bases remembers Henry Ellard or Mushin Muhammad, but everyone remembers Joe Willie Namath. Despite marginal stats, you can’t write the history of the game without him. If Edelman has a couple more big post-seasons, especially with rings, I say he is in the HOF discussion because he will be well known and acknowledged as a historically great player.
  12. Don't see it happening. Macca would've first had to suck it up and formerly apologize to the others for breaking up the band,. Probably also would've had to dump Linda.
  13. Couldn’t get over Mike Tomlin, Chuck Pagano, or Meathead Mularkey either.
  14. I completely disagree, other people with a lot of posts wouldn’t get a thread like this. He’s “special”.
  15. He’s not in now, but I can see him possibly making it with a couple more big post-seasons.
  16. KC has a chump for a HC though, a dynasty with Andy Reid is not happening. Dan Marino also set records in his 2nd year. He ended up being a HOF’er who never got the job done in the post-season. Time will tell if Mahomes is even as good as he was.
  17. Yeah, I agree, Edelman > Walker. Don’t think he’s a HOF-er, but he is $ and a legit Super Bowl MVP, not too shabby.
  18. Steelers were the undisputed doormat of the NFL prior to the 70’s though. Great almost 50-year run, I’d take it.
  19. When they leave, please take fantasy football with them.
  20. That one was pretty enjoyable, watching Peyton Gump (the Big Game Chump) go down in flames. Remember back in the day, when some people would say he’s better than Brady? Yesterday’s game was good, love seeing tough defenses that hit hard.
  21. Copying and pasting is his life, it is what it is. You'd think that he would've learned something from doing that though, a lot of his takes were brutally bad.
  22. Stats-wise, I would have to agree... but I think Josh may end up having him beat on leadership and intangibles. Time will tell.
  23. I predict if the assclown from Maroon 5 takes a knee during the halftime show that the NFL/CBS will cut away from him.
