  1. The player rankings are in flux reflecting the reality of players draft stock. I like that you can see who other teams draft and run the simulator again and again. After a few tries I got: 9 WR SAMMY WATKINS CLEMSON 41 S HA’SEAN CLINTON-DIX ALABAMA 73 OT JA’WUAN JAMES TENNESSEE 105 RB ANDRE WILLIAMS BOSTON COLLEGE 137 QB DAVID FALES SAN JOSE STATE 169 OT SEANTREL HENDERSON MIAMI 201 CB LAVELLE WESTBROOKS GEORGIA SOUTHERN I got shut out on a ILB as well. There are not a lot of them in this draft I will run it many more times before the real draft takes place. Last night when I first ran it Cyril Richardson a guard was ranked number one in the draft -you know that is not realistic. The closer to draft day and post combine I think the ranking will get much more real. Like it wrote it is a toy and it beats fretting over the Defensive coaching staff. YOUR PICKS PLAYERS AVAILABLE Mine takes about ten seconds each pick.
  2. There is no charge for this. I gave you a bad link just google: Fanspeak mock draft. I am sorry for the bad link.
  3. This is a good way to get out of the depressing D coordinator slump. Sorry I posted a bad link. Suggest you use google search to go to: Fanspeak mock draft. they have a very cool simulator. Pick your team and you will get lists of players ranked overall and by position. You draft a player you choose and the simulator completes the round.
  4. My head coach is an offensive guy. If I am even going to consider a Defensive coach he better be in the top 1/3 of the league in All Defensive categories. I would not consider a Defensive coach who finished in the bottom 10 in run D. Absolutely never. If Pettine does get the Cleveland job he better have instant success if he does not the fans will run him out of town. It's already clear he is not their first choice and the leadership in Cleveland has shown impatience with coaching staffs.
  5. Say what you want about Brady but he is a class act all the way. Hall of Fame shoo first ballot for sure. A true gentleman sportsman.
  6. It's pretty clear to me that Pettine is the fall back option for Cle if choice one and two do not pan out. My definition of being, " Blown Away" by a candidate is that you clear the decks and prepare an offer within a few days. It's the rival candidates that are, "blown away" so to speak.
  7. Robinson, Watkins, Mosley in that order. I know it's Draftek so you cannot trade but with 98 Juniors coming out the value in this draft is in the second and the top half of the third rounds. I would want to trade down and get as many second and third round picks as I could. Watch New England they always do this and as a result they always seem to benefit from the next guy in no matter what happens.
  8. It appears that April is a free agent. He can sign with anyone.
  9. You could say it every year but this off season is going to stress this coaching/scouting/front office to the limit. The sheer number and quality of the underclassmen declaring combined with the evaluations of veteran free agents is going to be a huge undertaking. I started doing some research and I admit to just throwing up my hands. I do know this though. I want lots of picks 8-10. this is a very deep draft and there are few players at the top who will be worth more than a trade down.
  10. It gets people talking about Football all year. It also gives teams more time to evaluate talent. It does cut into their down time though. In a league with a high burn out factor I am not sure it's a great idea.
  11. Brady has always made his living by protecting the ball. That is why he started over Bledsoe who had that, " gunslinger" mentality.
  12. This post makes a lot of sense to me. The tape that the average fan gets makes it difficult or impossible to id much on an individual lineman basis but some things are obvious. I would add to these observations that the Bills line seems weak at the execution of the screen play. The QB had difficulty stepping into his throws because a pass rusher is in his face. How much of EJ's footwork is affected by his need to avoid the rush? Also blocking at the second level is weak which is obvious from the film that the fan can access. I will take the coach's word for it that Woods and Glenn are good players. The rest need improvement and I would include the Tight Ends who in my book function as offensive lineman fifty percent of the time.
  13. He looks pretty good tonight. Strong Arm in high winds. I am going to tape it. He is a free agent type but I would def look at him. He is better than many I have seen.
  14. The more I think about it the more convinced I am that the Bills go OL heavy in this draft perhaps with the first and third or fourth. If EJ does not make it and I think that he will make it 2015 looks like the prime QB crop not 2014. It would be nice to have a good OL in place for either Ej or the new guy.
  15. I was impressed. The kid obviously has potential. He is a Freshman, who knows what he will look like two years from now.
  16. UB Offensive line was sub par. Special teams and Turnovers killed them and the D could not stop the run. San Diego did a great job of game planning against Mack committing 2-3 blockers and running away from him most of the game. The rest of the D failed to make them pay for over committing. I think San Diego was a much better team with more bowl experience and they have a stronger football tradition with better coaching. S. D. finished 8 and 5 after losing their first three games they got a future RB back from injury for this game. The Bulls benefited from a weak MAC schedule. Every good team Buffalo played blew them out. They were ill equipped for a step up in competition. I did like what I saw of Mack tonight and all of this year. I think he continues to get better. I hope he falls to the Bills, he will be a good fit in the Bills D. He and Alonso will be a load in Pettine's schemes.
  17. Some day though he could kick one to win a game with no time left on the clock!
  18. "Plight"??? There is no plight in the front office and the ownership of this team. Perhaps the OP's goals are not aligned with the goals of the team ownership? Brandon's job is to optimize the value of the NFL team that Ralph Wilson owns that is currently named, "The Buffalo Bills", and currently plays at the taxpayer owned Stadium in Orchard Park that for the time being is named "Ralph Wilson Stadium". To date Brandon has done a good job of that. We will find out just how successful Brandon has been when the team is auctioned off to the highest bidder in the future just as Mr. Wilson has promised every time he is asked the question. Mr. Wilson deserves credit for having greater loyalty to the city which bears the teams name than the players who wear the Buffalo Bills uniforms. Of course next year is a new challenge In terms of ticket sales and everything is subject to change.
  19. We know that all positions are not created equal in terms of value. The availability of top talent at each position also has an unequal distribution. Using the current draft projections from http://www.Draftcountdown.com the following talent could be available in the top three rounds of the draft. Tight Ends = 6, WR 6"3" or taller =5; OT =13, G=6, FS=5, SS=4, CB=15. There are 11 OLB's and 6 ILB's. Of course there are differing drop off's in talent at each position as well but Draftcountdown has projected these numbers as potential picks in the first three rounds. For the Bills these numbers could put a premium on a Safety if we have to replace Byrd. A TE might also be a Premium. If they want a Tall WR they will have to move early as well. It looks like you could get a Decent OT in the third Round especially a RT.
  20. Love the Mack pick Ebron is gone by the second pick unless the Bills make a trade.
  21. Statistical analysis is deadly accurate when using large groups. The problem is projecting that to an individual. People beat the odds all the time especially exceptional individuals and Fred Jackson is certainly one of those. Sooner or later the years will catch up to him. I will bet the later.
  22. There is nothing good about this. The only good thing will be if Lewis takes control of the backup situation here. If not they will be forced to take a QB somewhere in the draft in 2014.
  23. Not a bad Idea. Ej has long spindly legs not those thick tree trunks that Cam has. The guy is high cut and he may be prone to leg injuries as a result.
  24. I am going to give it to Stevie Johnson for not making himself the center of attention and causing the team to lose focus. I have been a critic of his lately but his act of selflessness was a genuine and noble one.
