  1. Don't forget about Schouman, he started and made a lot of receptions and the offense wnet way down after he was hurt (may be a coincidence).
  2. Good point, this is funny and i agree with your assessment.
  3. Agreed, the advantages of the pistol are: A balanced position to run from, Great playaction fakes due to QB turning his back, and easier for a running QB to get out, if they choose. it has the same pasing concepts as every other offense. to those that watch it in college it is used a variety of ways, power running, passing, option and misdirection. I would like to see it because it is different. This is why I've decided that I will like Gailey as he designs interesting plays and offensive concepts.
  4. Why does the northeast make a difference? Nevada uses it and they have the top running offense in the NCAA. It also doesn't require a bunch of deep passes. It's just a midufued shotgun that leads to better playaction and quick reads by the QB. Explpain how being the Notheast makes a difference. Anyway, The patsies play in the Northeast and they have had the top passing offense.
  5. Just like the spread? The shotgun? the triple option? the run and shoot? and hte West Coast? there was a time when those were just gimmiks. We should just continue to run a boring offense like everyone else in the NFL
  6. I don't think that WR is our biggest need but He is good enough for a 3rd rounder.
  7. he only mentions one player, read the post. Teams have rebuilt quickly with other teams back-ups and smart free agent free agent pickups (st. louis in the nineties, dolphins recently, pats in the early tom brady days)
  8. Why wouldn't he. Always been a team first stand up guy and he would face less contact from that position making it easier on his body.
  9. I am not very high on him, he was unsuccesful on more than one team. He could beat out brohm. Plus, one way or another i think we will bring in a running QB.
  10. If he were that good than he would have steeped on the field a couple of times the last 2 seasons
  11. I like him as well, but fact he is a 7th round that made 20 receptions as a rookie and none last year. I'd prefer something a little more reliable. At least a vet fpr competition.
  12. That's a lot for a backup running back, won't get anything close to that
  13. I would love Marshall too, but we would be talking about a huge difference in payroll.
  14. I really think Nelson was a good pick and will improve. I also like Schouman at the position, if he can stay healthy
  15. Wow, you must be awesome, your probably as great as favre, who'd you play for?
  16. I agree, I like the idea of adding starting caliber guys and depth players through free agency, then drafting the most talented players in the draft. However, it is expensive but this is what the patsies do and they have had good results with it.
  17. he won that's all that matters. he is better than what we have.
  18. We have brought in other caches from the CFL and they have had success
  19. I think we are waiting because our DC is still working or was working for another team, it doesn't make sense that they would hire his assistants before they hire the DC. then again not everything they do makes sense.
  20. Is this your attempt at humor? annoying.....
  21. this is why I am hoping for us to use the pistol a power running attack, traps, counter, running qb, a fullback. Sweeps and flys I hope we use it here
  22. the top rushing team in NCAA used a shotgun, Nevada, their formation is called the pistol. Chan employed that offense when he was in kc so we will see
  23. I love this time of the year, no player is good they all have too great of weaknesses to be successful, I always wonder why they were so good in college
