A spread can be run heavy, think Florida and West Virginia. i am really thinking we will see some pistol type stuff like he used in KC. It is a shotgun but can be very run heavy.Tyler thigpen put up pretty decent numbers with it. Some people say it is gimmicky an bash it. But if it works I am all for it.
what about Gaither the LT from the Ravens, he is young and seems like he could be had for cheap. I don't know why they don't want hime but he might be an upgrade for us.
Just like Lynch is not a guaranteed starter. He truly underpreformed last year when given the opportuniity, it doesn't matter if that is a result of an attitude problem or not. Anyhow, I wouldn't do it. I'm usually for taking looks at certain guys even if they didn't work out somewhere else. but if we trade we get his salary as well and that us the main reason.
Whaty about Brady Quinn? I don't feel he i smuch better than what we have have but might he be worth a look? probbly get him for cheap
The Bills haven't done anything exciting, but they are drafting the best players, not just needs, just give it time and then criticize. Our front 7 on d looks to be much improved and the back half of the D is pretty good.
i like improving the front 7 on defense. Heopfully these guys pan out and so does Maybin. These are not the most popular picks but I think they will work out.
I agree with you I also wouldn't mind the Bills using the pistol offense as a base offense. If they don't like what they see in the top guys and this guy is available late he would be worth a look. If not a starting QB could be an athlete/Wr gadget player like Hines ward or antwan randell el early in their careers.
Wow, did you come up with all of this yourself? Nobody has said any of these things about our QB needs before. A very profound statement about Oline as well.
He ran one play as a "wildcat" QB when Mularkey was here. He had abroken finger and threw a 2 yard pass. Nothing against him i just remembered when reading your post.
depth gotten for cheap, which we still need a lot of. if he ends up being a contributer that will work out for us. A lot of people here might expect him to come in here and be good because its a familar name.
More importantly, no word on Roscoe yet? Have we had this obligatory "Roscoe will be a bigger part of the offense presse release or statement yet." I wonder if his role change.
I think it looks like a great idea, the guy retired but still wants some work. He is not in charge of officiales any more and he could give good insight to a team in a coach/consultant role. This happens all the time, people start second careers based on info from their first careers.
It would take a creative coach to hire him but why not
He didn't want to be here, got hurt when it was cold and ****ty out and got hurt again last year. We wouldn't have won the superbowl last with him anyway. We only have so much money to pay we couldn't pay as much as he wanted.
