  1. Is nesbitt still practicing with the D? As a safety. Also could he be a returner for us? I like these kind of athletes, but don't want too many gadget players?
  2. Thanks for the recap. What's everybody's opinion of nesbitt? I doubt he will make roster, but could be brad smiths backup, if that position requires one.
  3. Gadget plays never worked for the steelers? Don't you think he played all 5 qb's to see what they could do in a preseason game? Brown and Thigpen are clearly back ups. What didn't you like about brad smiths plays last night? He sure helped the Jets make it to the championship game 2 years in a row. I like that he is trying to be creative instead of running all the same old boring NFL plays.
  4. Dumbest comment of the year. Kordell was a running, throwing, catching, option QB in Pitt. Not exactly the Miami wildcat but the same idea of using a very athletic do it all guy at QB. He ran a spread pistol offense in KC with Tyler Thigpen running occasionally. And he has run a spread option offense in his college coaching days.
  5. Washers and drinking. kan Jam is great if the room is available.
  6. Crumpled is no better than anybody we have. Let's not be stupid.
  7. How good was that d lineman last year? How did he practice today? Stil put of shape. The jets didn't get any better and bush wasn't a starting running back in Miami.
  8. I totally agree with you, we picked up a good athlete for cheap. Could make the preseason fun and add some gimmicks to the offense if he sticks. Don't get all the bashing in this board. All udrafted rookies are a long shot to make roster. This guy could make it just a little more fun. If he gets cut, no big deal. Gaily is an innovative coach, that could get a lt out of him.
  9. Steelers cutting him, might have nek injury concerns with recent neck surgery. What do you think?
  10. -UPDATE: Recieved word today that former Georgia Tech QB Joshua Nesbitt may be close to signing with the Buffalo Bills. Coach Chan Gailey is Nesbitt’s former coach so the move makes sense. Nesbitt has said that he wants a chance to play QB but he appears to most talent evaluators to be far more intriguing as RB, WR or even a S option. His ability to add versatility through wildcat formations or trick plays only adds to his value. As of now this signing is only rumored and still not official. This according to Buffalobillsdraft.com Might be interesting to see what they can do with this kid. Pretty fast option QB from g. Tech. Might make camp interesting to see where he plays. Probably just camp body though.
  11. Screw it, we should just never draft. let's not trade for draft picks and lets skip our picks next year
  12. I am so sick of people saing this, yes you do sound like you know more about football because ou watch the line. Has the offense not looked way better since Fitz took over? they didn't change an offensive lineman. The packers last year had one of the highest scoring offenses yet the QB was sacked more than anbody. The Ravens became a playoff team when they the drafted Flacco, not lineman, Same with the Falcons and Jets. yes, the lineman are important but not 1/2 as important as a QB.
  13. Let's hope, didn't hear mucg about him before the draft but have liked everything I've read since. Would love if Namaan could make an impact but probably PS this season.
  14. Parrish should be cut, all of the runing backs had more receptions than him last season and Spiller is brought in to catch passes as well. Every off season we hear how the new coaches will him the ball and they don't. Maybe its not Parrish, he has been here long enough to make an impact and hasn't. Also, mckelvin is a good retuner, so is Jackson, Spiller was a return man in College and We signed a back up RB who has return experience, This is not a coincidence.
  15. Spiller and Jackson would be better on passing situations than Parrish. Parrish has been given opportunities, every OC we have had said they wanted to get him on the field, but they didn't. Maybe its him.
  16. you say what's the big deal with a third stringer? He had a lof yards and TD's. But then you proclaim a Practice Squad guy as "The Guy"
  17. Gonzales had a lot of receptions that year. He was let go because the team was rebuilding and Novaceck was on the Boys wtill making a lot of receptions for the team.
  18. Yeah nobody around the league talks highly of Nelson, Schouman didn't lead the team in receptions before he was injured and Matthews didn't start in a superbowl. None of these guys should start right?
  19. Fred Jackson is our #1 anyway just like he was last season.
  20. Good question, My opinion is that some of the OLB's might be used in pass rush situations. We can line them up away from contacts to get more speed around the edge, we could also move them around the defense. this might help guys like schobel, maybin and kelsey. I too am concerned about pass coverage.
  21. Haley had an offensive background when he was brought over. He didn't want someone else to run his offense, they have different phillosophies. He spent a lot of money on FA and trades and his offense wasn't as good as Gailey's was the previous year.
  22. Thigpen was the QB and Gailey was the Offensive Co. Neither person had any impact on the defense. Therefore, the only thingt to go by would be the stats. His offense had way less talent than ours and he was down to the 3rd QB. What he did in KC was quite impressive
  23. How about if you don't want to talk about the Bills you don 't come to the message bioard unil the season starts.
  24. The spread/pistol will cover some of this up with quicker reads and throws, more misdirection and the QB seeing the field. Plus some of our qb's and linemen came from spread style offenses. Also, the top rushing team in the NCAA runs a pistol offense so it is not all pass.
  25. I think it is a story in the local paper from orleans. it is a story and i am interested in it.
