  1. Easy dude. I knows a bunch of people have engaged you unfairly. No reason to be defensive.
  2. I didn't say anything about playoffs... That being said, every year with bad coaching is a year where players pick up bad habits that have to be undone. This is especially true with young players. Coaching matters.
  3. I think RK gets more out of last season's roster than Housely. Phil just didn't know how to be a head coach, which isn't much of a surprise because he's never been one. I don't know how many head coaches with zero head coaching experience have been successful at the professional level. The only one I can think of is Aaron Boone but I haven't done any research on the subject. And I just wanna add that our power play is currently ridiculous.
  4. If you lose the room in the NHL, you never get it back. St Louis the last couple of seasons is a great study in what not to do. Don't have a lame duck head coach (Hitchcock). Don't have his successor named and already on the staff (Yeo). They righted the ship by hiring the Chief, who came in and played to the strengths of the team. He also wasn't afraid to stick with Binnington when he started off hot, even though he wasn't a highly touted prospect or highly paid veteran. He earned the right to be the number 1 because of his play and that accountability stabilized the team.
  5. Krueger reminds me of Belichick a bit. Obviously he's not the same personality-wise but in his approach to success. I am so tired of hearing about talent (lack thereof).
  6. ? I'm thrilled with the start...who isn't? But it's a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng season. Botts has done a good job fixing broken things, especially dumping Housely. Ralph currently owns that room but coaching is easy when you're winning. Let's see how they respond to real adversity. Side note: it is really nice to see the crowd jumping like it is tonight. Side note 2: Rasmus Dahlin is amazing.
  7. That's exactly what he meant. Proof that coaching matters alot, as if the turn around of the Islanders and Blues didn't illustrate that clearly enough.
  8. I couldn't be happier that they told ESPN to F themselves.
  9. They cover everything well except horse racing. With horse racing, it's only the major events of the sport. Since it's the only part of the sport I follow, that suffices for me.
  10. There are not many things on the internet worth paying for...the Athletic is absolutely one of them. It is BY FAR the best sports website on the internet. It's everything all the others wish they could be and none of the things they actually are.
  11. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/thehub/choosing-an-acoustic-guitar My advice is go to a decent music store and spend some time there. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The biggest thing is finding a guitar that's comfortable for you physically. For new players, the most important thing is finding an instrument that easy for YOU to play. I would ask to see guitars with the lowest possible action (distance from the strings to the fretboard) because the higher the strings are, the harder the guitar is to play. Maybe look at travel guitars, which are smaller, generally cheaper and easier to play.
  12. Sorry for your loss. Your dad and his generation laid the foundation for everything that's good on this planet.
  13. Allen is a gamer. He's still a kid and is occasionally going to make stupid plays...but he's the exact opposite of guys like Tyrod. He plays his absolute best when the team needs him to lead.
  14. A little buzz in the hockey world that the Sabres have offered a "significant" package for Patrick Laine.
  15. You know what's valuable about preseason football games? Guys not getting injured. There isn't one other thing that should be taken as gospel.
  16. Really? Which team won a championship without their star player?
  17. He is probably the most important Sabres' draft pick since Perrault and it's not just because of his tremendous skill.
