  1. Is this spoken word poetry or something?
  2. Got the same vibe. Non-sequiturs everywhere. Really, let's just end this cheerleading thing in the NFL. It's weird and doesn't send good messages to women--or to men about women's place in the world. It works in college, but just seems too over the top in the NFL. Hell, just bring in college cheerleaders if people really want to preserve the institution. The problem seems to arise when people think that this is a professional career of some sort.
  3. Wow, the Bills and Dolphins have really just become sad pastiches of each other on opposite sides of the country.
  4. Look, I'm a Bills fan and like Watkins, but this is madness.
  5. Man, what we need is a power RB like Lynch.
  6. I know Del Rio is odd and had that whole axe incident, but didn't the Jaguars do pretty well under him? Why is he a bad hire?
  7. This. Could have been a great game. Feel bad for Cook there. What a way to end what was otherwise a great freshman season. MM looks great but is that style really going to transfer over to the NFL in a sustainable way?
  8. Since there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about Winston's abilities on the field, here's a Sports Illustrated article by Peter King that provides an in-depth breakdown of his skill set. It's a really good read and delves into the off field issues as well: http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/23/jameis-winston-nfl-prospect-florida-state/#
  9. E.J. and Winston are nothing alike. That is crazy talk.
  10. Ha! Yeah, four meaningless scrimmage games... P.S. I get that you're being sarcastic, but the whole concept that bowl games mean anything (outside of the playoff) drives me crazy.
  11. I'm sorry, but did you watch Manuel play at FSU? He was a profound disappointment for us FSU fans, and the narrative on him hasn't changed: he's a great kid with all the tools and for some reason can't bring it all together. FSU lost in big moments with him at the helm despite a significant talent advantage. Since he departed, the Seminoles have won a national championship and haven't lost a game... Winston, for all of his faults, is an example of what having an NFL-caliber QB can do for a franchise. Edit: with all of that being said, I do hope things work out. He's a great guy with a lot of potential, but counting all of the seasons I watched him in Tallahassee, I'm about to enter year 6 hoping things will click for him.
  12. It's not just losing lynch for no value, but wasting a pick on Spiller in the process. Typical Buffalo move of outsmarting ourselves.
  13. Might as well. Season is over now. Regardless of next week, they need to draft a QB (bookended by offensive linemen) and bring in another option via free agency.
  14. Need to push ball down the field on this drive. They are sitting on short stuff
  15. This. The gameplan from the first two drives wasn't a bad one
  16. First two short plays put them in hole, then third and long. The play calling is horrendous. Oakland just destroying short runs and dump offs.
  17. Need some points here to grab momentum
  18. I know spiller can break one at any moment, but all of the negative yardage and missed lanes preceding the highlights are drive killers. There was no need to bring him back, and to be honest, the offense is probably better without him.
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if NE loses this week, Den wins, and Indy loses to Dallas, NE is locked into the 2 seed so next week wouldn't matter. That would be an ideal scenario.
  20. The thing missing here is that Cincinnati needs to lose this week too. If that happens, he's right. I just checked using espn's playoff machine.
  21. Seems like a reprisal of the same old info. Really, just keep the program shut down. Problem solved.
  22. Wait for one more loss. They have to see the season out.
