  1. It wouldn't reduce reviews at all. It would just allow coaches to be less choosy and utilize them on other questionable calls.
  2. Except that he never said anything about losing a comp pick for spikes, just regarding Landry. About the comp pick, the good teams that always to replace their lost free agents (like the ravens and pats) do it in part with those comp picks. By either finding the next Marcia Brady or giving them more ammo to move around in the draft - either trading to get who they want or stockpiling picks into the future - it is a part of their plan. While the comp picks can't be traded, it allows them to trade their others while still grabbing a diamond in the rough like Seantrel. The point is, if you can manage to sign Landry AND be able to keep the extra 6th, doesn't that make the most sense? There is no competition for Landry right now. If their hand is forced by another team swooping in, sure, get the guy signed. But, many other teams are also trying to avoid losing a comp pick, thus limiting the market for any remaining free agents until after the draft.
  3. Hi, i'm Terry and this is Kim. Good to be your new owners. I believe Mr. Spikes would like to say a few words.
  4. yes, consider this week a tryout for our 2 punter/kickoff specialists while Bradham does not count against the roster for suspension. the team really hasn't had much time with Gay, and none with Schmidt, to see them up close in person. Bradham's vacated roster spot allows them to keep both locked until either one proves they can handle both roles. at that point, the other will be gone.
  5. I've got a better idea - what about Ponder for Mario Williams?
  6. Shipped USPS priority mail. Just delivered to my 1st happy customer. Can't wait to get home!
  7. So it has to be either one extreme or the other? Isn't it possible that there is and has been an in between all this time? OTA's are all about learning - new plays, new teammates - which requires more thinking and less playing.
  8. Gotcha. They won't draft an OT simply because they haven't in the past 11 years. Since it hasn't happened lately, it won't ever happen again. Sound logic. i absolutely agree that you take the best player period. So if the best football player is an OT, you take him, correct?
  9. 2013 Draft 1. Eric Fisher -- Kansas City 2. Luke Joeckel -- Jacksonville 4. Lane Johnson -- Philadelphia What do they all have in common? They all spent the majority, if not all of last season at RT. What exactly is the problem with having 2 very good OT's? What happens when one gets hurt? Sounds like a good quality problem to me.
  10. He is a free agent and has no effect on their cap space.
  11. And the rams have just under $4 mil in cap space.
  12. It's certainly very easy to connect the dots. If we cut Willie Jefferson → then Manny Lawson is not a fit for this defense. Completely logical. Makes perfect sense.
  13. No is correct. Choice was on a 1 year deal, so he would affect next year's cap number if was again signed after the season. Byrd cannot sign a new deal after the season due to his franchise tag requires a long-term deal by July 15th. Since they did not reach a deal by then, Byrd can't be signed until then, at which point Choice would be a free agent. Thus the two would never intertwine.
  14. NorCalBillsSabres -- does he just make stuff up? I'm beginning to think so, but wonder what everyone else thinks.
  15. No where did he say anything about exorbitant demands or Byrd and his agents being in the wrong. Those were your words, he said nothing like that at all. Nobody here is falling for anything like you say. He was only making a guess. You made yours. Either way he is playing in buffalo this year.
  16. His inconsistency from from one day to the next should be worrisome.
  17. Maybe the mods could merge all the "sky is falling" threads into one so that all the people who feel the need to create multiple threads can have a singular place to come and vent to feel better before they jump of the ledge
  18. Kinda makes you feel knowing that they didn't waste a 7th pick on the guy, doesn't it?
  19. not at all, you just have very poor reading comprehension.
  20. no you wouldn't. you must have a very short memory. remember how Spiller was used this year? how pass happy they were at all the wrong times? that was Gailey as OC. I'd be ok with Smith IF he can finally get his OC right, unlike his past many years in Chicago.
  21. Where exactly does Incarcerated Bob fit into the rankings? Gotta think tied with Scooby. Maybe the same person?
  22. No it doesn't. Completely different. Stevie caught the ball took 2 steps and went into the end zone. Should have been a td. Megatron made a sliding catch in the end zone. It should have been a td, if not for a ridiculous rule.
