I've only been on one cruise, Princess, back in 2007. It was a ship with around 4,000 passengers. Embarking I thought was easy. Disembarking at the end took a while. They had a list of the approximate time you could get off depending on what/where you were going, but you still had to wait for them to call your group. We were at least an hour later than our listed time. One thing we learned really early was with shore excursions, take the afternoon ones or plan your own. When you book a morning excursion, everyone else on the morning excursions is getting to breakfast at the same time, so it's a zoo. Going with afternoons, we could get up when we wanted, get off the ship for a few hours and sight see before heading back to the ship for our afternoon excursion.

Saw it two nights ago with my GF, who has never seen any Star Wars movies. Now she wants to see the originals. Gave her all my DVDs and told her to watch the original trilogy first, then if she wants to see more of the back story, watch the prequels. It's probably a different day, that Canadian Christmas. Like Canada Day is before July 4th, and Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. Maybe Canadian Christmas is today?

Years ago my family would have a party for extended family and friends. As people aged or moved that trickled down to just our immediate family. I think this is the first year they won't have anyone coming over Christmas Eve. For me, I'll go to the girlfriends mothers house where her family does their big Christmas gathering that night. Food, presents, etc. Christmas morning we will then go to my parents house.
