  1. Sorry to hear about that Dean. A friend of mine passed away at 42 recently from a heart attack. It's an age nobody expects to see that happen at. I hope his family is doing as well as can be expected.
  2. What he said! When you have some unblocked guys running at you a 5 yard pass is much smarter than a sack or throwing the ball away, JMO
  3. While the guy hits the nail on the head for several things this part is just idiotic; Rookie FS Jairus Byrd wasn’t quite as dynamic as his numbers would indicate – a few of his league-leading nine interceptions were gimme picks – but showed promising range. A player doesn't rack up 9 int's in 11 starts by being lucky. Byrd put himself in a position to be at the right place at the right time. His field awareness is what led to 9 int's. His first 5 could possibly be argued as being lucky but after making 3 picks against the Jets in his fourth start teams were trying to avoid him. JMO The other thing I disagree with; TE should be given another chance as a starter. I think his years under Jauron were not as much his fault as it was a very poor offensive coaching staff and nobody being able to protect him. It destroyed his confidence and if Gailey can rebuild that he has a chance of becoming a solid starter. JMO
  4. LT sure looks washed up based on last years stats. Rivers is a much better QB than Sanchez and I think opposing teams will stack the line and try to make Sanchez win the game. Link Jones was due a $3 million roster bonus on top of a $2.8 million base salary this season. He and the Jets failed to reach a compromise on restructuring his contract; the team wanted him to take a pay cut. Link "I can tell you, it's not going to be a popular move in the locker room," one Jets player, who was not identified, told the (New York) Daily News' Rich Cimini. "We loved T.J. The man loved the game and put it all on the line only to get dumped after his best season. I think you should reward players for performance. You dump him but give Vernon (Gholston) another shot? "Doesn't make sense." Gholston, the sixth overall pick of the 2008 draft, is in the midst of a 5-year, $50 million deal even though he has yet to record an NFL sack. But the Jets remain committed to him despite his lack of production. I disagree, my translation would be this; We have a plan and are sticking to it. This plan has been successful in the past and even though it may take a year til we're competitive again it's the best way to build a team. JMO
  5. Jackson is a small receiver ala Lee Evans. The Bills were looking for a big receiver because their receiving corp was so small and they wanted a big target for the endzone. IIRC, it takes big receivers a little longer to acclimate to the NFL game. Hardy has not been a bust yet by far. His injury makes me give him a pass. With TO brought in last year there was no reason to rush him back. This year is the defining year for him. This is put up or shut up time for him. IMO, the Bills can't afford to trade up this year for anyone, they need every pick they have or more. I don't see anyone that will be gone in the top 8 worthy of a trade up. Bradford and Clausen aren't worth it, IMO. I think it's more important to grab a LT and a NT before a QB. This is one reason why I'd love to see LeFevour last until the Bills pick in round 3. The reason I say a LT and NT first is because I believe that keeping the QB protected and keeping the score low is the best way to groom a new QB. The protection thing I think is obvious and the low scoring thing is to keep him from feeling overwhelmed if the team gets down 17 points. If the score can be kept close it helps the team pull out wins and builds the youngsters confidence. JMO
  6. I'm not saying this about you Faustus but a lot of people here refuse to criticize Al Davis for taking McFadden when he was already set at RB. I wonder how many of those people would be pissed if the Bills took Spiller? If they do take him and trade Lynch and he turns out to be an AP or CJ clone I wouldn't be that upset in the long run, but I would be on draft day. I agree 100% with Dez Bryant. I might have to remove any objects capable of breaking my TV before the draft just in case that happens. Dan Williams would only be two spots early, if you look at the draft that way. Miami is most likely gonna take him at #12 if he lasts that long. I would love to see Dan Williams as the first pick. #1 it's a position of need and he's the best NT in the draft. #2 it would keep him away from Miami. NT's are tough to find and getting one and keeping him away from a rival would be a good thing!
  7. If you go back and read what I said you'd see that I said he'd probably get picked up by someone (which hasn't happened yet) and that all of the people who were screaming about letting him go should be surprised that it wasn't until the second week of FA for a team to contact him. You would've thought that by all of the whining about cutting him he would have been immediately contacted by several teams. That's what I said. I also said his temper was probably a big part of the reason the Bills didn't want him back. That idea is backed up by the line in the following writeup from Rotoworld. From Rotoworld; Richie Incognito-G- Bills Mar. 14 - 11:07 am et The Dolphins are expected to bring in unrestricted free agent G/C Richie Incognito for a visit next week, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The Dolphins put in a claim for Incognito after he was waived by the Rams in December, but the Bills had a higher priority. If Incognito could control his temper, he'd fit right in with the Dolphins' mauling offensive front. He could push Donald Thomas and Nate Garner for the right guard job. Source: Miami Herald I'm not the only one who thinks his temper is a problem and before somebody says, again, that the Bills need bad tempered guys on the line, I agree. They don't need RI bad tempered guys. Eric Wood is a good example he's nasty tempered on the field but doesn't get stupid penalties because of it and he turns it off when he leaves the field. If the Bills could find 5 Eric Wood temper guys the line would be impenetrable. If the Bills had 5 Incognito's they'd constantly be backing up due to stupid penalties. There's good aggressive and bad aggressive. JMO
  8. You're having a baby?
  9. Botos will be sentenced on Tuesday. Between the new charge of failure to appear and the drunken driving conviction, he could get 18 months in jail. 18 months for failure to appear in court AND critically injuring 3 people while driving drunk? You've gotta be kidding me!! He should AT LEAST get 5 years and if I was the judge I'd give him 20. At least 18 months is enough to dry him out.
  10. Bob Matthews said that AO is scheduled to return on Monday for practice.
  11. FYI, McAfee site adviser lists that as a red warning site. But the pictures are funny!
  12. Already been done Jackass!! Done in a much funnier way too!!
  13. I thought we all agreed on next February 30th.
  14. Yeah, I prefer to go by Liza!! You can't copyright "Did I win yet?" tm I hope you don't get arrested. Geez, you can't tell the difference between Shirley Temple and Judy Garland?! What a maroon. I'd forgotten about that; We're planning a toilet tape parade for you.
  15. "Hi hunny, how was your day?" "Uggghhh!, I had to get 20 more lap dances again today, when will this hell end?"
  16. Objecting to a new claim by prosecutors that prostitution is back at the clubs, attorneys for one of the accused now says the government's effort has turned the FBI into "a vice squad." An attorney representing another defendant has claimed that investigatory reports show one undercover officer spent at least $16,835 buying more than 130 lap dances without making a single arrest. I'm wondering if that might be because once an arrest is made the investigation stops. That dude is no idiot.
  17. It's deep in DT's but not 3-4 nose tackles. JMO You do know this message board is for sharing opinions right? You have a right to share yours but so does everybody else. Sheesh!
  18. When the Bills were running a 4-3 I really wanted them to draft him. He would've been my pick. How he'd fit in a 3-4 is a question.
  19. I don't think they'd be considered flashbacks but yes there are problems for anyone but you greatly increase the odds by doing hallucinogenics. I've done acid before so I'm not exempt, but the more you do it the worse your chances are. Bucking and jerking around during an operation isn't recommended for anyone. If you go in for surgery let them know you've done acid so if something does happen they won't be mystified.
  20. It's not your house or your car or even outdoors that have been ruled out for smoking. It's indoors where second hand smoke is a problem. If the business is open to the public then they have to abide by laws. It's private property but they are required to have handicap accessible toilets, up to code wiring, emergency exits, smoke detectors, abide by dept. of health regulatioins and other laws are necessary for them to operate and offer a safe environment. A private club like a country club can do whatever they want. They can deny anyone they want and they can make it smoking required if they want. If you want to put business' that don't allow smoking out of business then start an identical business next door but make it a very low fee club and make it for smokers. I doubt that business would do very well. What smokers don't get is how disgusting they are. Smoking smells so gross and clings to everything. When we used to go to dinner before the smoking ban I could smell smoke from the non smoking section. If I'm in Wegmans and the only other person in the aisle is at the opposite end I can tell if they are a regular smoker or not. Smoking is leaving the society altogether very slowly and it's a good thing, IMO What's funny is that the most anit-smoking people you'll ever find are former smokers.
  21. The biggest concern with hallucinogenics is that if you go in for surgery you can experience a flashback while under anesthesia. When I worked in the operating center I remember an anesthesiologist getting really p.o'd when he found out the patient had done acid.
  22. IMO, the most indispensable member, after Peter Green, is Christine McVie. She is the most consistent song writer over all the years since Green left. The albums she's not on are really wanting. Second would be Fleetwood. JMO What Pink Floyd album without Waters is any good?
