Dwan Edwards FAILS two physicals
Steely Dan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it was anything but a spinal injury I might have slight reservations but I have no reservations about this one. Agreed! I think some teams are just being over cautious. http://www.jems.com/news_and_articles/arti..._treatment.html Green says Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson has contributed millions of dollars to the Miami Project, co-founded by Green and former Miami Dolphin’s linebacker Nick Buoniconti, whose son Marc was paralyzed during a 1985 football game at the Citadel. The Ralph Wilson is cheap crowd needs to STFU. I'm really sick of them ranking on Ralph. If it wasn't for Ralph the Bills would probably be in a different city where he could make more money. If you are unfamiliar with Cappuccinos work with Kevin Everett then familiarize yourself with it. After researching that incident come back and tell me if our doctors are better than their doctors. I honestly believe that if Everett's injury had happened in another stadium he would be paralyzed for life. Maybe Doc can help us more here but I think it's just a matter of opinion on whether a particular injury could stop a players career soon after signing a contract. Does his wife know that? -

If he's sitting around til the fourth round I think that would be enough to make anyone ashamed. JMO Damn you're pathetically pathetic. -

It still seems too risky to have the guy waiting around. If I'm Tebow I'd make up some excuse to not go. Something like I have another potential $250,000 autograph session set up. -
http://edition.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/03/16/ke...pt=T2&imw=Y Drunk, high dad leaves baby in oven overnight, police say By Jason Kessler, CNN March 17, 2010 -- Updated 0158 GMT (0958 HKT) At least the guy realizes he needs help; Emergency crews responding to the scene transported the infant to a local hospital, where he was found to be unharmed. The incident was reported to authorities by a psychiatric facility that Long turned to when he learned what he had done, officials said. "He actually called a mental health crisis line immediately thereafter and told them that he had done this. And they contacted us," Hayden said. Hopefully this is the wake up call he needs.

Linky On the heels of an impressive workout at Florida's pro day, league sources say that Tim Tebow is among those players who have been invited to New York for the April 22-24 NFL draft. Todd McShay in an ESPN Insider article; So does this change Tebow's draft value? Those teams that see Tebow as an eventual starting quarterback are hopeful, but those who rate him as no better than a third- or fourth-round pick did not see enough to change their opinion of him. Tebow showed unexpected athleticism at the combine and eventually could contribute at another position if quarterback doesn't work out, but when grading him strictly as a quarterback, he remains a third-round pick on our board. Tebow simply has too much developing to do and too many obstacles to overcome to be worth taking any higher. If Brady Quinn was embarrassed Tebow should be downright ashamed. They'd better put an overnight cot in that room they sent Quinn to. -

In addition to having a workout planned for him the pro day was televised on NFL network. So they probably watched it and will get some film from it and then have their own private workout with him. JMO -

If she gets a reality show by the end of this week I'll not be surprised in the slightest. I wonder how this story was uncovered, by who and why.

He might have purposely sandbagged to make sure Al Davis doesn't draft him.
-
This is awesome! Let the idiots of 40 time worship pass on him. If he ran a 4.0 forty instead of a 5.0 he'd be able to cover the 10 yards to the backfield, uninhibited, .25 seconds faster and that can make the difference between not a whole lot. Is he strong? Is he nifty? Is he smart? Is he agressive? Those things mean a lot more to me than potential .25 seconds over 10 yards. Some people have Spikes ranked as the best run stuffing ILB in the draft. It doesn't seem he has a problem getting to the backfield too much. If he lasts past round three then there are a lot of morons and a lot of smart people in the NFL. The morons with need will pass by him and one of the smart teams will pick him up later, hopefully Buffalo. If the Bills have Poz, Spikes, Mitchell and Davis as ILB's this year it will be a great unit with great depth. If the Bills can stuff the run well enough to be a top 10 run stuffing team then the secondary should just feast on QB's. JMO Pathetic aint it? PD isn't as important to Buffalo as it is to other teams. The Bills deep secondary makes it less likely that an ILB would have to be that great at PD to be effective. JMO

Can we finally call Matt Leinart a bust?
Steely Dan replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems to me that if the Cardinals had any belief that he was just a little below Warner's level they would have started him over Warner. The problem is that he isn't. http://www.nfl.com/players/mattleinart/profile?id=LEI453701 He should have taken the job from Warner by his second year and definitely by his third to justify his draft position and draft hype. Dolphins sign Incognito- 1 year deal
Steely Dan replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Parcells doesn't coach the Dolphins. What he said. Here's some from Rotoworld; http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=3291 Richie Incognito-G- Dolphins Mar. 17 - 10:13 am et Dolphins reached agreement with G Richie Incognito, formerly of the Bills, on a one-year contract. The Bengals and Colts were also linked to Incognito, an unrestricted free agent. If he can keep his temper under control, Incognito will likely push Donald Thomas and Nate Garner for the right guard job while upgrading Miami's already strong run blocking. Look for the deal to be incentive laden. Source: Edgar Thompson on Twitter Related: Donald Thomas, Nate Garner, Dolphins Share via Facebook Share via Facebook Richie Incognito-G - Dolphins Mar. 16 - 10:04 pm et The Dolphins reportedly made an offer to free agent G/C Richie Incognito Tuesday, but it "didn't blow anyone away." Talks are expected to continue on Wednesday. Though the Colts have also shown interest, Incognito shouldn't expect much guaranteed money considering his history. Source: Armando Salguero on Twitter Richie Incognito-G - Dolphins Mar. 16 - 3:11 am et After his Monday night/Tuesday meeting with Dolphins brass, free agent G/C Richie Incognito is scheduled for a phone interview with the Colts. The Colts would presumably fly Incognito to team headquarters if they were serious about signing him. A longtime head case, Incognito wants to prove that he can "be accountable for my emotion both on and off the field." Source: Miami Herald Richie Incognito-G - Dolphins Mar. 15 - 12:39 pm et The Bengals are hosting free agent G/C Richie Incognito on Monday. Incognito has a trip to Miami lined up for Tuesday. In Cincinnati, Incognito could be an option to succeed 33-year-old free agent RG Bobbie Williams. Source: National Football Post Let's see; One year deal with the Dolphins For what is probably a pittance contract The Colts never ended up bringing him in. Obviously Polian passed. The Bengals didn't want hm. The Bills didn't want him The Rams didn't want him 27 other teams didn't even give him a call. Anyone who can go down that list and find a reason Buffalo should have kept him is deluding themselves. The small contract, I'm assuming, is there so if/when they cut him they won't be dealt a big money hit. Cap or no cap they don't want to throw money to the wind. I'll be very interested to see what the terms are. I'm guessing this is a take it or leave it be glad we're gonna give you one more chance in this league contract. The boo birds who call RW cheap should shudder at the thought that RW could have had a dirt cheap player but still passed. The guy must have had serious problems if RW passed on a dirt cheap player, right? -
Can we finally call Matt Leinart a bust?
Steely Dan replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do believe that a QB needs three years before making an informed decision about them, but I think it's obvious that the Cardinals' lucked out when KW still had a couple of good years left. I think if Leinart was anywhere near as good as KW they would have started him. The signing of Anderson just finalizes the fairly obvious. Where are all of the people who were yelling and screaming because the Bills didn't draft Leinart. -
Clark Judge write-up on CBSSports.com
Steely Dan replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geez, cut the guy a little slack. He's been injured. The buck stops at the end of this year for him, injuries or not. I think the Poz thing is a fairly accurate writeup. I have no idea why so many people here are hating on Poz. -
Peter Pan Guy Got Married A Year Ago!!!

I was thinking the same thing when they said that!! I wish they had reported how many of his "fashions" he had sold over the internet. That would be very interesting to know. -
Unfortunately on the flip side many want to be first and damn the story. I remember CNN reporting something about 2 middle eastern men being detained at the border after the OK city bombing.
