  1. Byrd is one of the best at his position. Why would the Bills not make every effort to reward him for his performance and keep him with the team for another 4 or 5 years?
  2. My sentiments exactly.. This team is still lacking talent in key areas and we need to bring in a few more horses to become a worthy playoff contender. Best I see the Bills doing is winning 2 more; I think a single win is more likely.
  3. Defense is looking better, at least QB pressure. We still need to improve run defense.
  4. Not sorry to see him go. I'll bet if he'd spent another season in Buffalo he would have ended up in jail, suspended for a year or both.
  5. Must have finally made the big time. Maybe he's covering the CFL now..
  6. Van gets my vote this year, although others are deserving.. Moulds had a very good career in Buffalo, and Biscuit would also be a good choice.. Travis Henry?? Are ya serious??
  7. I doubt he plays tomorrow. Plantar fasciitis is a miserable ailment and it does not heal (no pun intended) quickly..
  8. So I should root for the SEAHAWKS?? There is a flaw in this flow chart! Thanks for posting, it's pretty funny.
  9. There are so many.. Here's one that sticks out even though it was almost 25 years ago. Monday night game. Kelly is out with an injury. The Rams are in town and Frank Reich is QB. Looked like the Rams are gonna own the Bills, but Frank brings the team back from behind in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. What made the game extra special is the we had lucked into tickets (courtesy of WHAM) right behind the visitors bench, maybe 3 or 4 rows up. That the closest I've ever sat to the field at a Bills game..
  10. 4 - 12 I do not have a great feeling about this season, but I will be cheering for our heroes religiously Go Bills!
  11. True dat - It's the little stretch of time where mini-camp is over, you've got your players signed, and you're going to take some time off before starting the grind that goes from start of training camp through the playoffs.
  12. Have to agree. And how many of those "home" games have we won? Oy vey..
  13. James Lofton and another player (I think it was C. Bennett) made an appearance at the car dealership where I used to work in East Rochester. Either '89 or '90; I know it was before the Bills made their first trip to a superbowl.
  14. I have to come out of hiding and sound off on this. Wishing Jim and his family all the best and praying for a good outcome. Really don't understand all the haters earlier in this thread; Jim has matured as a human being and and is not the same guy he was 25 years ago.
  15. Maybin by far. Flowers was a late 1st rounder in a draft that didn't have a lot of Pro Bowl caliber DE's, and the Bills desperately needed a DE to offset the loss of Bruce Smith. It just didn't work out. When we took Maybin, we passed on Orakpo and Clay Matthews. Wow. Just wow..
  16. It's kinda early for predictions, especially since we may pick up another veteran FA or two. But I don't think we will be much better than last year. It would be nice to finish strong, but I think there will be growing pains with a new QB and what's essentially a new receiving corps. Probably finish around .500, give or take a game..
  17. Going into this draft, I was very "blah" about what the Bills would do (based on the past several years). Now that it's over, and it looks like came away with some decent picks and UDFAs, I'm starting to get excited about the 2013 season. Go Bills!
  18. I hope you're right. Our defense needs a lot of help..
  19. Hope the kid works out; he's got all the talent he needs to make it in the NFL.
  20. Given the lack of depth at key positions, I really hope that a few of the UDFA's make it, (or at least make the practice squad) and help get Buffalo back to respectability.
  21. True dat! EJ sounded great in the Chris Brown interview. He has a lot of physical talent and did a great job in Florida. I hope we finally got our long-term solution at QB; it's been 16 years since Jim Kelly retired. Wow
  22. It wouldn't shock me if Buddy retires or assumes a reduced role in the organization. When Ralph handed the keys to Russ Brandon, Nix said that he wouldn't be able to keep working these kind of hours forever. The guy is 73 now; my guess is this draft is his swan song. (Heck, I'm only 53 and I hate working 55-60 hours a week!)
  23. Fast, but I've never been a fan of smurf receivers. Find me another Eric Moulds please.
