Personally, the trade was worth it. Peters was terrible last year, and would have been terrible this year. He was not going to extend with us.

While sacks allowed is not a perfect stat, i find it extremely hard to believe that the margin of error is so great that the stat is completely irrelevant. If anything, i think you could attribute +- 2 or 3 sacks to not knowing the exact blocking scheme employed on that play. Even within that margin of error, Peters was still terrible.

Philly is banking on both Peters and Andrews playing up to their talent; neither did so last year. Many people think that this is a make or break year for Philly management.

Trade down with Washington and pick up an extra 3rd. They might even go for a 2nd, since Denver would likely pick Sanchez if he fell to them. We could still get our LT since Denver would likely pick Tyson Jackson.

Meh, Peters is a dumb ass. He would have gotten his money if he had not held out. This draft is littered with top LT talent in the first half of the 1st round.

I really hope we stay away from Tyson Jackson, as we would only waste his talent in a 4-3. He could be a great player in the 3-4, but only average in the Tampa 2. His value is no where close to what we should get out of the 11th pick.

An all lineman draft would be pretty dumb. We would most likely have to select players that are not close to being the best left on our board. Not to mention there is no way we could keep all those players.

You take Crabtree, as he is the BPA available at a position of need. T.O. will be here for 1 year, and after that... who knows? Will Steve develop, or Hardy?

It's a BS argument. The TARP money was intended for banks that actually needed it, and if declaring yourself financially stable by returning the money hurts the feelings of the other banks..... then who gives a sh--? Why the hell should our tax dollars be sitting in accounts not being used, instead of being returned? The only logical reason is that the treasury department wants the new TARP restrictions to apply to these banks.

Every single one basically states they are waiting for permission to return our tax dollars.

a quick google search will net you multiple links about the treasury dept refusing to take the money back.
