  1. How often do 6th and 7th round picks make a difference? They drafted a few developmental projects last year (Johnson and Bell), but other than that... it's pretty rare for late round picks to do anything outside of ST. I would say people should be happy with the first 5 rounds and realize that we got some good special teamers with our last few picks.
  2. Nelson will be lined up against LBs and Safeties, so he will have a distinct advantage... while Hardy had to face CBs.
  3. We had one of the best drafts in recent memory.
  4. a FS, OLB, CB, and special teamer.
  5. Matt Light tends to get man handled by speed rushers, and i don't think a RT could handle Maybin on 3rd down.
  6. Why? Cary Harris was graded as a 3rd rounder by many scouts, so why not take him in the 6th? The worst thing that could happen is that we waste a late round pick.
  7. A good core of DBs, with a healthy Schobel and Maybin... should go a long way to helping us beat the Pats. They do throw the ball 35-40 times a game.
  8. past the 5th round, it's all about BPA.
  9. He is a 3rd round value, so i can see why they took him in the 6th.
  10. We didn't exchange Ellison for Crowell.
  11. almost everything.
  12. Nic Harris was a S in college, and we drafted him to play OLB.
  13. I don't know if the Bills will take someone with serious commitment issues.
  14. No wonder DJ was smiling so much.
  15. or we could force him to take a pay cut this year.
  16. Well, we traded away $3.5 million with Peters... and these picks won't be making very much money. I think we could afford him.
  17. The guy would be a very good Tampa 2 WLB, as he has great speed (reported 4.4) and is 6-2 225 lbs. He isn't big, but would be a good asset on 3rd down. He is also a much better player than Ellison. He benched 225 lbs 24 times at the combine.
  18. Leroy Hill is a FA... he is a very good LB.
  19. The only reason Donte was moved to FS is because they had no viable candidates to replace Simpson, and Scott couldn't play FS. If the Bills hadn't drafted a FS, Whitner would have played free this year.
  20. Keiaho is a cover 2 WLB, who is currently a FA because so few teams are using the Cover 2. He is much better than Ellison. My guess is that the Bills haven't signed him yet because they want to see how the draft plays out.
  21. Free safety wasn't a need? Really? They had to shift their #8 pick from his natural position. The only reason Whitner was playing FS last year was because the Bills had no viable candidates to replace Simpson. They realized that Whitner was the only one who could play FS reasonably well, and that Scott could man SS without being too terrible. They drafted Byrd because he displays the skills that make very good free safeties, and they want to move Donte back to SS.
  22. He's one hell of a LB, though... and we need to replace Ellison badly. (Keiaho is a good option, too.)
  23. He wants over $6 million a year... but one can always dream. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/26/...-franchise-tag/
  24. Butler was a RT in college, so i think they might move him there.
  25. maybe you should get your eyesight checked, then.
