Honestly, if Edwards can hit around these numbers, they will extend him: 65% completion 3500 yards 20 TDs 10 Ints 7.5 YPA That would signify a pretty big step in his development, and i don't think we could reasonably expect much more from a QB in his 2nd full year of starting.

One problem, Trent isn't in a contract year.

If the Bills Fire Jauron mid season?
Fingon replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bobby April would be the interim head coach. -
How does the US Gov't unravel its now vast stock

How is the government supposed to fairly regulate the market, if they own a part of it? -
When asked the question: Why are you getting a bad rap about being a prima donna? "Everybody who knows Vontae knows that i am a great person, a great player. And Bill Parcells speaks louder than words. For him to draft me, he knows what type of person I am." Apparently, this guy is extremely self-centered, with a gigantic ego. It's also kind of hilarious that he refers to himself in the 3rd person while answering a question about being a prima donna.

So, one person over the consensus of NFL scouts? Gruden doesn't even think he can run a tradition offense, he wants him to be a wildcat QB that also runs the spread offense. I've yet to see someone introduce evidence (by link) of him actually being a good pocket passer prospect. Edit: Yes, it has been confirmed that Gruden would only draft him to run his Wildcat/spread offense "experiment". Which confirms my original analysis that he can't be a traditional QB. Thank you for proving my point.

Well, Todd McShay says "NFL scouts are scared to death of" Tebow's mechanics. how about: Spectators of Florida's spring practices seem to freeze when Tebow reaches back during spring practice, squinting to detect the slightest difference in an arm that's been evaluated in biomechanics labs and lambasted by pro scouts. Other scouts speak of potential accuracy problems http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/coll...0,3041309.story So yeah, the scouts ARE very down on Tebow. He has to prove that he can play QB in the NFL.

Some of you people are ridiculous. I can bring out what actual NFL scouts say about Tebow, and you say I'm an idiot. Please remove Tim Tebow's ball sack from your mouths. The fact is that scouts think Tebow is nowhere close to a good QB prospect, and guess what? It's their opinions that matter, and if they say he won't succeed... well, how many mid round picks develop into good players? Very few do. So, while Tebow does have a chance at success as an NFL QB... it's highly unlikely. Like it or not, the opinions of scouts will dictate where he is drafted. If he is drafted earlier than round 5, it won't be to play full time QB. So, stop parroting the bull sh-- line "i've seen him play, and i think he is god. SO HE MUST BE!!!1111" The scouts are much better talent evaluators than you are.

Are you really this dumb? College numbers mean nothing, and when it comes down to it, Tebow shows that he does not have what it takes to be a good pocket passer. I have explained the reasons previously. Also, scouts did not think Tom Brady sucked, they just realized that if he was forced to be mobile, he would utterly fail. And guess what? Brady succeeded because he has one of the best offensive lines in the league. His horrible mobility does not come into play often. Have you even seen Tebow play? A lot of his passes flutter in the air and are not even spirals, he has extremely bad mechanics, horrid footwork, and plays in an offense that will in no way prepare him for the NFL. None of those points can be debated. However, you seem to think that because the scouts have been wrong, that makes their opinions irrelevant. Say it with me.... Just because a few late round picks every few years become great players DOES NOT mean that pro-scouts are always wrong. In fact, they are more right that wrong. Probably only 1-2% of those selected in the later rounds become pro-bowlers. Furthermore, the only reason that Tebow has insane numbers is because his ability to run makes the defense commit players to be "QB spies", secondly he was playing with probably the best talent in the country at Florida, and the spread offense will always be productive with very good talent. Does the name Jason White ring a bell? How about Cody Hodges? Both those quarterbacks put up insane numbers, and guess what? They did nothing in the NFL because they didn't have the skills to make it. Both those guys were better pocket passers than Tebow. You can say the scouts analysis is wrong, but the fact remains that Tebow is NOT an NFL pocket passer. Pat White was drafted to play WR/Wildcat QB... that is a far cry from being an every down QB. Also, Miami is the only team that runs the wildcat several times a game.

Actually, the biggest knock on Brady coming out of college was not his ability to throw the ball. It was his arm strength and his extremely bad mobility, in fact Brady ran one of the slowest 40s for a QB... ever. I believe it was a 5.22. All Brady proves is that you need to be accurate, read defenses, and throw a good ball to be a successful NFL QB. Tebow can do none of those.
-
Except Tebow has nowhere near the skill of Tom Brady. Brady can actually throw the ball well.
-
Trent is accurate and throws a good ball.
-
Why would anything change? Until Tebow can prove to scouts that he has fixed his horrendous throwing motions, slow release, and lame duck passes.... his draft status won't change.
-
NO HE DOESN'T. You have to be accurate, and throw a good ball to be a very good NFL QB.
-
In an earlier post, Florio said Hill would have gotten $3-4 million a year from any other team but the sea hawks.
-
Lol, is that why all the scouts think hes a mid round pick?
-
If we bring him in, either Langston Walker, Butler, or Levitre goes to the bench. All three of those guys are quality lineman (Levitre should be, at least).
-
He can't hit a receiver because he throws a lot of lame duck passes, and he can't read a defense because he will be switching from a gimmick offense to a pro-style in the NFL. How do you think he will adapt? He clearly isn't the most intelligent QB, and it's a big step from running half of the time to passing 95% of the time. http://walterfootball.com/pro2009ttebow.php
-
Where does leadership get you when you can't read a defense? Where does it get you when you can't hit a receiver? Tebow plays in probably the furthest thing from an actual NFL offense, and does not have the experience throwing the ball that most QBs do. Not to mention he has average accuracy, won't be able to rely on his ability to run in the NFL, and questionable intelligence. The deck is clearly stacked against him.

So glad we didn't take Pettigrew

If he was there at 28, we would have taken him. -
Michael Savage banned from entering Britain
Fingon replied to Fingon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Savage has a good shot, as defamation laws are very strict in the UK. -
Not according to the reports from actual scouts, that I've read. There are plenty of winners in college football, and guess what? There are plenty of people who throw "good" balls. Guess what? Drew Willy is a better pocket-QB prospect than Tebow.
-
Yes, I'm going to wager with someone on the internet . Tebow MAY be a first rounder, but i seriously doubt it. Vince Young has scared teams away from drafting a running QB in the first round. Then again, most scouts project him as a TE/H-back, and those aren't drafted until the mid rounds. You may tell me I'm wrong, but I've read what a few scouts for NFL teams have said about Tebow, and it isn't flattering.
-
Riiiiiight, because the NFL is all about running QBs? Tebow is nowhere close to a refined passer.
-
Yet, he cannot pass as well as some players that were UDFAs this year. There is a reason scouts project him to TE/H-back.
