  1. Only one beer at a time? Who has the patience for that?
  2. Cheers! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
  3. Speaking of BeIgian wheat beers, I just tried one of these last week and am looking around town to see where I can get more. White Rascal: http://averybrewing.com/our-ales/white-rascal/
  4. he's a dolphin fan?
  5. or for strapping down board member for ritual sacrifice. why can't they just have a web conference from their own desks? that table reminds me of something from the set of Goldfinger.
  6. Just my opinion, but their 'hard news' shows like Special Report and Fox News Sunday aren't bad. It's the Hannitys & the like that tilt the content so much.
  7. They say that "This is common sense legislation, and it's long overdue", but how is this not in direct violation of the first ammendment?
  8. So now we've gone from conspiracy theories to politically motivated witch hunts. Government accountability is now a pipe dream of the radical fringe?
  9. What industries do we have that don't have adequate regulation, and how would you propose to change such policies in Asia?
  10. if we have had a measurable degree of success with reasonable regulations and pressure from the public, what would you say is the next, necessary step?
  11. sorry you don't get the point, but I tried to use as many small words as possible.
  12. You say that 'capitalist forces' don't care about environmental issues and instead 'only about profits'. Are we to assume that you mean Apple and Microsoft are polluting our air and water? That they're deforesting the land, and that, as 3rd asks, Warren Buffett is lining his pockets and paying off politicians? Or could it be that you're basing your argument on a stereotype? The stereotypical 'capitalist' - the one concerned with profits above all - is a character whose association with the American right has been a voodoo doll for the left since the 60's, so when you base your opinions on such, you're buying into a mindset deliberately manufactured by people who detest free market economics and limited government.
  13. It's you, gator, and Gene that continue to call this crap a conspiracy. All anyone else is saying (and I'll use terminology all three of you will understand) is the administration lied and Americans died.
  14. I've never heard of this guy before, but this is why I like an unregulated internet. Some content is so ridiculously over the top that it's beyond entertaining.
  15. We could ask Woody Allen....
  16. The last attractive teacher I ever had was back in 2nd grade, so I didn't even realize she was hot until several years later. All my female high school teachers were so ugly that they could scare the paint off a car.
  17. environmentalism can sometimes have a lighter side: the 'poo bus'. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-bristol-30115137
  18. star atheletes and movie stars bring a singular talent to what they do. the money they earn may be considerable, but it's based completely on their skills, talents, and how much return they will bring.
  19. Let's see if you feel the same way if & when a Republican president follows precedent. My guess is that you'll be clutching your temples in an apoplectic frenzy.
  20. What are you, a commie-lib-pinko-Marxist-hippie-leftist-ninety-nine per center-draft dodging socialist atheist?
  21. It's not so much a debate that it may or may not be happening, but rather a debate on why it's happening, if indeed it is. The earth has been around for a very long time, and has undergone many climate changes before warm blooded creatures ever evolved. Given that the satellite technology and weather/atmosphere data is still a new science, coupled with the fact that much of the climate change/global warming 'data' is based on computer models, there's more than a little conjecture involved in any proclamations of human involvement causing any rise in temperature. It's one thing to be prudent with respect to what we put into the air, water, and ground, and something else again to start putting taxes and heavy-handed regulations on industry based on what we might be doing.
  22. a little more physics humor: a neutron walks into a bar and asks the bartender 'how much for a beer?' the bartender says to the neutron 'for you, no charge'.
