  1. You should consider adding "plagiarist" in your bot-reply. Anytime he posts anything over a half a sentence with no misspellings and accurate punctuation, it's copied and pasted from somewhere else.
  2. Back on the grid after some holiday travels - hope all had a great Christmas, and wishing you all the best in 2017.
  3. I think it's just simple arson, since there was no brimstone accompanying the fire.
  4. I'm kind of impressed - it took a full 23 posts before some boob Godwined the thread. Congratulations. Usually only Gatorman brings that level of political non-thought to the conversation.
  5. You're the first person I've heard say this in quite a while. I never had formal culinary training, but during my years in kitchens I worked with a few people who were really good, and they all taught me to hold my blade in that fashion. It absolutely makes a difference. As far as owning quality chef knives goes, I've owned a Henkel but my favorite go-to is a mid-level Chicago Cutlery which I keep fairly keen by using a steel. You mean you don't mine the ore yourself? The crucible process is still a viable method for home steel-making, and well within the capabilities of any discerning, capable American male. You may as well just order your knives online, for Pete's sake.
  6. If the sales of Captain America merchandise has anything to do with the election of Donald Trump, then the irony is amusing: http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/captain-america-furious-new-president-9226257
  7. As they always did. RIP Lemmy
  8. I like a lot of the supplementary ideas, but I'm beginning to think that we're all making a mistake in how we're looking at this. We're using logic, albeit stupid logic, in pointing out the supposed social transgressions we're attributing to ships throughout western history. What we need is to be completely inane and hissy-fit level stupid with this, so let's go full Gator: The use of the word "ship" as a suffix in everyday parlance. Words like relationship, friendship, internship, worship, etc. The use of "ship" as a suffix imparts white colonial male domination over everyone else, and should be replaced instead with something completely neutral and inoffensive. Any ideas?
  9. Best laugh so far today. Thank you.
  10. It would be very good to see Net Neutrality done away with, especially if it removes the fed's regulatory involvement.
  11. They're just pissed that they didn't come up with their own version first.
  12. It's getting to the point where that's almost a Godwin-level response.
  13. Ships. The ultimate in imposing white culture, privilege, and supremacy. First it was Vikings, notorious for raping and pillaging, ravaging eastern Canada, carried in their dragon ships to spread their hordes into North America. Christopher Columbus, directly responsible for opening the flood gates of white Europeans with his three ships, Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. Then all the Spanish Conquistadors, sailing over in their galleons to plunder the land and enslave the indigenous people. Slave ships. 'Nuff said. Nowadays, ships are used to haul mass amounts of oil & coal, which poisons the Earth. International commerce, the root of globalism. And private yachts are the playthings of the wealthy elite. I'm sure others can add to the list of transgressions against humanity perpetrated using ships.
  14. They're welcome to do as they please, but to pretend that their motivation is anything other than to incite and upset is ridiculous. To insist otherwise is to be obtuse.
  15. For what it's worth, the church of Satan are actually atheist. They just like to use the names and symbols associated with Satan strictly to piss off Christians. Anton Lavey based their philosophy largely on the 'rugged individualism' found in the works of Ayn Rand. I've known a couple church members over the years. To borrow a phrase from Tom, they're idiots.
  16. Sure, nothing like doubling down. No, I'll just point him out to all my black, gay, latino, trans, and jewish friends. I'm sure they'd all appreciate the opportunity for a little mutual enlightenment.
  17. You're drawing a false comparison between what one person - in this case a school nurse - hangs on her door, and the policy and participation of what the entire school does. When taken in the context of a holiday which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, there is absolutely nothing unconstitutional about her hanging that poster on her door. And just for the record, were there a national holiday which celebrated Satan, I wouldn't have a problem with a teacher or a school nurse hanging a poster to that effect. Freedom of expression and freedom of religion allows people to openly and publicly celebrate their beliefs regardless of what others think. And yes, any adult who is actually 'triggered' by anything is a complete $#@@%.
  18. I give you credit for your honesty, but I sincerely hope I never meet you in person.
  19. I see that some people do not understand that the constitutional freedoms of religion and expression are meant to apply to such activities performed in public places, not just on private property. There is no constitutional separation of church and state, such practice is not indoctrination, and the fact that adults are now being "triggered" by this shows what a bunch of ignorant $#@@#%@ people are starting to become.
  20. Don't you mean 2.537 seconds?
  21. No, that was okay because she wiped it with a cloth, remember?
  22. Oh, I love the cold war. That was fantastic! http://youtu.be/WrLcnjWYcgY
  23. The left has been in the business of creating labels for people for decades. This is just another one. It's nothing new, and it's exactly what I'd expect from them.
