Minnesota Swarm defeat the defending champion Calgary Roughnecks tonight!

They actually put on a pretty entertaining show on stage -- we went last year when they came through town. There was this 6 year old kid right up against the stage barrier, and Chad Kroeger had an interesting exchange with him. Something like, "S##t, you let your kid listen to us? My kids are getting old enough to start understanding our lyrics and I don't know if I'm going to let them listen...." Went on to comment on the fake earring the kid had, asked where he was able to get the money to pay for it: "Are you selling weed or something?! You got some drugs in your jacket there???" Eventually he brought the kid on stage while they jammed. Overall, it was pretty cool.

If you're not really interested in the games, why not just buy a standalone BD player? You can find one that allows you to stream Netflix, watch movies from a USB drive, etc for a fraction of the price. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-BD60-B...0552&sr=8-1 That one doesn't do Netflix but I think does everything else (including streaming from Amazon). Of course if you're looking for an excuse to play games, carry on.

I don't mind Nickelback - I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them, but I don't mind them. I definitely wouldn't pay money to see them, but the wife likes 'em, so... *shrug*

Just bought two tickets for my wife to see the worst band ever. Also starring Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and Sick Puppies. Not sure if I know any of those bands.... Probably have heard them on the radio though.

Like I said, it means that your router is starting to go (assuming the router is what assigns your IP address to your internal network - which is how things are setup 99% of the time). You'll probably want to think about buying a new one at some point, because one day it'll just stop working.

Sounds like you need to buy a 360. Seriously though, it sounds like your router (and/or cable modem) might be going bad -- it's not giving out DHCP leases (ie: it's broken). I had a Linksys router that stopped giving out DHCP leases and then died a few months later.

I can GUARANTEE, with 100% certainty, that you've heard at least one of their songs. I think one of the reasons people dislike them so much is that they're a marketing machine. Their music is literally everyone -- commercials, teasers, before/after sporting event commercials, video games, etc, etc. I was playing NHL 10 and one of their songs plays in the background! Chad Kroeger is a business genious, albeit not a great musician.

There's a curve where after awhile you're spending 10x more money for 1% more performance. The trick is to find the price/performance ratio that's best for you. There's also more to it than just the speakers themselves - you can have the best speakers in the world, but if you're powering it with a Home Theater in a Box receiver, it'll suck... A coworker of mine was debating between the Paradigm Studio 60s and the 100s -- we spent an hour or so listening to them, and the 100s sounded MUCH clearer. So yeah, you can tell the difference, although the room plays a big part too...
