  1. I believe I read that TW bought the tickets.
  2. They've been saying that for years... It's a running joke. But this time they actually have a new album, so.... (of course they had Beethoven's Last Night released a few years ago, and still didn't tour despite them saying they would.... I'll believe it when I have tickets ). For those who like TSO -- you should check out Savatage (especially Streets, Dead Winter Dead, Wake of Magellan, and Of Poets and Madmen). Savatage became TSO, and some of the songs are right from the Savatage albums.
  3. Your kids probably have two separate profiles anyone - one for the family, one for the non-family. Does that make you feel better or worse?
  4. I wonder what Pete Rose has to say about players gambling...
  5. Which show did you see, east or west? It's important to know if it was Anna Phoebe herself, or the other one (who was also entertaining, but I still think I prefered Phoebe). http://www.annaphoebe.com/ My wife's 82-year-old German grandmother loved the show when we took her a few years ago -- "except for the quiet parts" (her words! ).
  6. I'm guessing that will be what the spring show will be like... Assuming it actually goes through this year.
  7. Todd Collins is still in the league as well.
  8. How many QBs will have started all 16 games this season? Not a ton. Tony Romo, Eli Manning, Jason Campbell, Jay Cutler, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Kyle Orton, Phillip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Carson Palmer, Matt Schaub, David Gerrard, and possibly Peyton Manning, unless they bench him this week (which is a very real possibility). So only 14 (maybe 15) out of 32 teams had a QB start all 16 games. Therefore MOST teams do not have a QB that starts every game.
  9. That could be said for most NFL quarterbacks.
  10. I'm alive, and I don't.
  11. I'm reporting you to homeland security for fear that "bang" means you're going to blow something up. You sound nefarious. http://www.observer.com/2009/daily-transom...ous-or-whatever
  12. You, sir, must now leave this message board.
  13. Again, the Steelers were not starting their 3rd string players. They played their entire starting OL. Their "backup" running back was Willie Parker - who turned out to actually be their starter. I believe their defense had several key starters as well, but I can't remember the specifics. This "loss to 3rd string Steelers" line seems to be growing in popularity - despite the fact that it's wrong. It's just like the season where someone in the media said, "The Bills have passed the ball on 3rd and less than two 75 straight times," and folks here took that as gospel, even though it was NOT true.
  14. That's been the speculation, but I don't think I've ever heard Ralph or Wade confirm it.
  15. I wonder what would've happened if the Bills didn't have Flutie on the roster when RJ was here. The video link in this thread basically says he wasn't comfortable being #1, that he wasn't close with everyone on the team -- but I distinctly remember reading many articles and posts about Flutie trying to take over the locker room and cause the discourse. Without Flutie, what would RJ have done differently? Maybe nothing, especially with the injuries... But who knows?
  16. DirecTV doesn't charge per HD receiver -- it's $5/receiver, no matter the type (SD, HD, DVR, HD DVR), and a flat $6/month for DVR service in the household (raising to $7 in a few months). So if you had 4 HD DVRs in the house, you'd pay $15 for receivers (first is "free," then $5 each for the next three), and $7 for the DVR, for a total of $22/month for the hardware. I know Time Warner used to charge 25 cents/month for a remote control. That was pretty funny.
  17. A whole season? Try 2-3 weeks.
  18. Except the Steelers didn't bench their OL... And their "scrub" runningback was Willie Parker.
  19. Who gave you a sat radio without a subscription.....? Check the consumer forum. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=10118
  20. You're lucky you didn't shoot your eye out!
  21. That's list price. As a new customer, you'd probably be able to get 1-2 for free, and the other 2 for no more than $99/ea. The best part about the DVRs is that you can open them up, take out the hardrive, and plug in a larger harddrive for more recording time. Since a 1TB drive is less than $100 nowadays, you can easy get 200+ hours of HD recording on the DVR. Very nice if you don't keep up with shows every week.
  22. I don't know the answer to your question -- regional sports networks are an odd beast, and the Sabres situation is even stranger. I don't believe that the DirecTV reps are thousands of miles away though -- most of the time when I've called, they're people in Florida. Not sure if that's changed over the past year or so.
  23. I've never heard their speakers, but I have one of their monster subs, and it rocks! Plus, their customer service is top-notch - send 'em an email, and the owner himself will generally respond in hours, even at 10pm! I have the PB12-Plus/2- awesome sub, although I could've saved some money and purchased a smaller one... But what's the fun in that? http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:dj_HwA...=clnk&gl=us
