  1. If a millennial would join the military and do food service or some other non combat role for 3 years they could buy a house with no money down. I'm not a millennial, but that's what I did and it's still possible.
  2. Good point. I think Caldwell is a good coach that gets a bad wrap. Hiring Bill Bellyache assistants is such a loser yet teams continue to do it. Judge Joe is the next. Here's an article that backs up Gug's point https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidberri/2018/01/02/black-head-coaches-in-the-nfl-are-much-more-likely-to-be-fired-with-a-winning-record/#15eb62071cb8 Meanwhile, Marvin Lewis had a 16 year career in Cincinnati with .518 win %. Herm lasted 5 years in New York with a 39–41 record. The Broncos fired Mike Shanahan with 146-91 record. Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson with a 44-36 record. There are a lot of factors at play here. I have no idea what the answer is. NFL - Not For Long I thought when we had a SB between 2 black coaches we had crossed the chasm on this. Guess not.
  3. Sorry, I don't do sarcasm well. Even in person. ? I hope that doesn't mean there is something wrong with me. ? Where can I sign up for said class?
  4. Like who for example? The only 1 I can think of is Raheem Morris and he went back to being a DB coach which he presently is in Atlanta.
  5. Do you think are NO women in America that want to stay home and take care of theirs kids?
  6. As was Rex. As was Kitchens. As was Schumur. As was Pettine. As was Marrone. As was Dave Campo. As was Raheem Morris. Tomlin's been around a long time. Dungy had a nice career as NFL HC. I wonder why that is? I'm not saying none of this exists, obviously it does, but were there any other reason these guys were fired besides race? Did you check their won/loss records? How many white coaches that were losers lasted longer than 2 years? NFL stood for Not For Long before we had black coaches. Not counting interim coaches makes me sad because we can't count Perry Fewell.
  7. But we could sure score points. Put an offense that productive with this team we are playing this weekend and possibly favored. Fat lot of good being able to pass the football did Saturday. And no one brought us back from being down. BECAUSE WE COULDN'T SCORE POINTS.
  8. I think it's both but primarily the former. 13 carries for out best guy who was getting 5 yards per on Saturday was not an execution thing. We saw this in other games too like the Eagles for example. Josh Allen already has 2 full season but still had trouble running it. The other guys had full mini camps, training camps, and 16 games. Rex Roman's offense was waaaaaaaay ahead in only 1 season much less the second one where we averages 24.7 per game. Even with better talent I'm not so sure he can get much better results. I think we can/should do better than Daboll.
  9. Saturday evening I was thinking I bet on the plane back to Buffalo McDermott is thinking "If our D was a little bit better we could have won that game. Gotta get on that"
  10. Actually, this is not true. The year before Coach McDermott and GM Beane arrived we averaged 24.9 points per game and 23.7 the year before that. I love ? tons about what Coach McDermott has done. The D is awesome. Great culture and teamwork. PLAYOFFS!!!!! But his offensive performance has been abysmal. After 3 years and a total offensive rebuild, this is the best we can do? 19 points per? Sad.
  11. Roony hired Tomlin when he was pretty dang old. How young to they have to be? Snyder is 55. The Roony Rule was enacted when Dan was 70 years old. Danged ole old guys.
  12. It's nice that the players like him. Too bad his offense sucks.
  13. I just gotta wonder what that does to a guy's motivation. I know what it would do to mine. ?
  14. Patrick Mahommes won his first playoff game last year.
  15. Mike Perrera is total tool. After Seattle got the royal screw job by the refs in SB XL I watched him on NFL Network go through all the penalties rationalizing each one, including an illegal block by the defense. Clearly he's making stuff up again. If what he says is true, why is it not in the rule book?
  16. I predict we take a defensive player in the first round too.
  17. this concerns me in regards to offense. My thinking would be to over haul the offense by bringing in a proven offensive coordinator and handing the offense to him and let him run it. Someone like Norv Turner or Schmur. Give him personnel decisions too since i don't think Coach McDermott and possibly Beane would know offensive talent if it bit him on the bum. Nate Peterman is a starting caliber QB. Let's sign Yeldon but never let him play and instead feed a 36 year old RB. Ignoring the WR position. Moving up to draft a QB and then surrounding him with bums at WR. Draft the biggest project QB and don't have a veteran QB on the roster, only him and Nasty Nate. etc. McDermott inherited the 10th highest scoring offense and 3 bad offensive years later, we are mid 20s. Not good. Get someone that knows what they are doing and turn them loose. Regardless, we're going to have a lot of new guys next year. Just how the NFL works.
  18. My conspiracy theory is, given how the NFL loves to pump the young QBs, they were hot for Mahommes vs Watson game followed by the winner vs Jackson. Josh is young too, but his offense sucks, so no dice. So, as usual, they left nothing to chance and got what they wanted all along.
  19. The one I laughed at was the one Josh threw right into JJ Watt's hands. JJ already ended one Buffalo Bills QB's career doing that. Josh is just luckier that JJ didn't catch it for a pick 6. It was so much like EJ's and given the wrath he got for it, and all the excuses Josh gets, it made me LOL out loud.
  20. This is soooooo true. I run in to Bills fans EVERYWHERE I go. Bills have a lot of fans. I predicted they would come out if we ever got good and sure enough they are. Was also thinking myself that since Buffalo gets huge viewership maybe the NFL should stop screwing us at some point and get on board.
  21. I'm gonna take exception to your exception. If Josh had made better passes on those second half drives where we got no points or better passes/plays on the 4 FG drive and got us a TD on one of them, we win. I read on here all the time that Josh may not throw for a high percentage or whatever, but he's a gamer and comes through in crunch time. This time instead of playing his best in crunch time he played his worst (FB pass, lateral, passes that should have been picked, sacks, intentional grounding, fumble). if he had risen to the occasion we would have won. He had his chances. Certainly not all his fault. The whole team choked. But Josh played a pivotal role in the loss.
  22. They also rule TDs to the letter now and over turn them often. If a guy catches a pass as he is going to ground and is tackled they have to freeze frame it to find out EXACTLY where the football was when a knee touched. Then spot the football on the 6 inch line. I think that's silly. common sense says it's a TD all day long.
