  1. There's a very simple answer for all the empty rhetorical question-guessing "then who IS good in Buffalo?" Easy. Sal Capaccio.
  2. Don't confuse effort with results.
  3. It's a !@#$ing message board, Professor Pious. Certainly didn't restrain you from sharing yours.
  4. As an out of towner, WGR is my lone conduit to local coverage.
  5. Does this mean we won't have to listen to him on WGR pretend like he knows a single thing about football?
  6. My recollection is that we went from very very good to very good then back to very very good.
  7. I mean, I didn't want to get into the nuanced bit of it, because it's a bit less cut and dry. But I'd agree he hit his peak in Carolina and declined ever since.
  8. Ha, sure. But I also don't think the schedule he keeps...as a broadcaster...affords him the resources (time, mostly) necessary for him to stay at the top his/the game. Now, I don't mean to suggest that as a broadcaster he doesn't have enough time, but I do believe that because he's a broadcaster he has no interest taking the time.
  9. By and large. Particularly when it comes to evaluations.
  10. I'll grant you the Wanny aspect of his shortcomings, but lest we forget Hughes had a prior stop as well. The point being, a guy who needs a "system," or in this case three all-pro players within his unit, isn't worth top dollar. Oh? Two first round medium-sized outside rushers who flamed out with their first teams only to flourish for double-digit sacks for their seconds?
  11. You guys all remember Mark Anderson, right? Okay.
  12. Sure, if you believe his account of things. I happen to not.
  13. Salary cap?
  14. Thank you for posting, and this isn't a shot at you, OP, but can we please stop pretending that Polian is relevant anymore? I mean, I get it. But, he's a broadcaster now. He should be held in a esteem that reflects likewise.
  15. I don't think he intended you to read it. ftw
  16. you did. we were interested, but the eleventh hour report saying a buffalo contract was imminent now seems suspicious.
  17. nfl guys called this precisely what it was: a cooked up rumor floated by McCown's agent to get him more money. looks like they got it right.
  18. that's an irrelevant observation. leroi has sold himself as having inside knowledge. he speaks as though he does. i don't really care about the "imo-gate," i read how he says WHAT he says and comes across as very matter-of-fact. when he comes in and says "he's friends with roman, EXPECT this to be done by the am" then he's insinuating that he's received information from someone in the know. he also speaks in the first person about the organization. so, sorry. he more or less got caught fibbing in this case, and i don't have any reason to believe otherwise, and/or stick up for him.
  19. Yeah. I would have accepted the offer then pressed the other job until I got an answer. If you accept/leave for the other job...then you still have a job. Now that you know you're choice 2, the company that offered might not appreciate being YOUR choice 2.
  20. "look for this to be completed" it wasn't.
  21. Or else confirmation that he signed with Cleveland, as is the case.
  22. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/176446-rumor-ej-manuel-likely-to-be-cut/?do=findComment&comment=3472358
  23. Well, Leroi's at least half full of ****: http://twitter.com/MarcSesslerNFL/status/571450370225909761
