  1. In what little we have seen Brohm seems to be the sharpest, Im hating how slow Edwards release is and how he seems to pump the ball before he throws it, Ive never noticed this untill this offseason and its driving me crazy.
  2. Brian Billick had plenty of lousy seasons, one year he had one of the best defenses in NFL history and won a superbowl. His offenses in Baltimore havent been great by any means. His success in Baltimore had alot to do with him being lucky to have great players on his team. I have never been impressed by him nor do I care to listen to him on NFL network.
  3. He always looked good in shorts, he has an incredible arm, Its when the pressures, making quick decisions, and managing the game is where he struggled.
  4. This is usually the way it is at any level of football at this point in the offseason. Offense is more complexed with more thinking and timing going on. Defense is more pin your ears back and react.
  5. of coarse he does, who doesnt? the only clarity that we have is that our QBs are clearly bad.
  6. From what little we see on these practice highlights Ive now noticed how Edwards pats the ball before he throws it about half the time, which gives the defense more time to react, his deep ball has never been his strong point yet its has been his recievers strong point!? This has never made sense to me. I have been a Trent, he could be the next Frank Reich. A very good #2 smart enough to know the offense, good enough to win some games, but just not a full time starter. Fitzpatrick seems to be throwing picks all the time, his accuracy is terrible and has a weak arm, if he is named the starter we have no upside this year. IMO and the limited amount we have seen Brohm is looking the best having touch on his passes and a stronger arm than the other two.
  7. GreenBay didnt let him go, He was signed off there practice squad. Unless he was on there active roster they couldnt stop him.
  8. Meredith Nothing major here it just thought it was nice to here something out of our LT position. Maybe our oline isnt as far off as we are claiming it to be. Meredith played well being instantly plugged into our line last year, maybe he can be atleast servicable at LT, if Bell does start he most likely will be injured at somepoint. Wood and Levitre now have a full year under our belts maybe Hartgarner will be our weakest link.
  9. The Topic sounded interesting then when I opened it to read it and It said Brady Quinn...wtf!!
  10. I hope he does well, one of the most physical players we have had lately.
  11. Another player that has had everything handed to him, has never worked for anything iin his life. If he believes he should be the #1 back come in with a chip on your shoulder and show everyone, dont cry for a trade, make people want to trade for you. Worst case scenario you make yourself better and you make CJ and Freddy earn there keep and be part of a very good backfield.
  12. Walker was an adequate Right tackle that had a ridiculous contract, when he was made to step up and play LT he pissed and moaned. The coaching was horrible the decisions where horrible and it bit them in the ass when the team was plaques by injuries. I understood the cut but never understood why the front office never swallowed there pride and called him back 2 weeks later when Butler was out for the season. Its all water under the bridge now as we still need a LT.
  13. Trent Edwards is a good Quarterback....Just not as a full time starter. Unfortunatly we dont have a full time starter that we know of. Pre concussion Trent showed showed promise. I would have liked to see what he could do If he where plugged into a good supporting cast like Mark Sanchez and Ben Rothlisberger. I fear Jauron and company had the promise knocked out of him with poor coaching. I hope he proves me wrong, or Brohm or Levi brown shock us all.
  14. All of our Tackles are right tackles, we are so weak at LT we just move them over.
  15. He was good not great, not a hall of famer, not elite but effective. He solidified a position for a very long time, the one postion we where not screaming for an upgrade on here every offseason. In this game your only as good as the people around you and he played on alot of bad teams.
  16. If he doesnt sign his tender or if SanDiego doest offer him a new contract then he will most likely hold out. If he holds out he is not a capable backup. Being a starting LT he most likely wants a huge contract, the Chargers have the same situation with Shawn Merriman and Vincent Jackson not signing there tenders, this is just speculation but signing Tra Thomas and having the same issue with other big name players tells me they are not going to give Mcneill a contract or prioritize it, this may allow him to shop his services.
  17. 2nd round draft pick out of Auburn in 2006, an alternate for the ProBowl in 2007, Phillip Rivers and LT seem to have had success behind him. He is not a superstar but a very solid tackle and an improvement over what we have.
  18. Will this move put hime on the trading block? If so what would it take? Certainly the front office has a plan to obtain a LT before preseason, I cannot believe there comfortable with Bell and Wang. Wang is a project and Bell is so injury and penalty prone certainly there is an average LT to be had for a reasonable price so we can atleast add a player to the mix..
  19. yeah Fitz is a bad QB we all know that.
  20. Since we dont have a stud anywhere except punter...I dont care who we draft, a few years down the road I want to have a player that the league recognizes, a leader, a complete stud, I want a Ray Lewis, a Tom Brady, a Walter Jones, a Payton Manning, a Micheal Strahan, a Walter Payton a Jerry Rice. A player that opposing teams look at and say "oh sh*t." Someones Jersey we can purchase and not have it obsolete in 2 seasons. A player we can talk about 10 years after there gone, someone we can watch get enshrined in the hall of fame and try not to cry. I want some talent, character, passion, rolled up into one. If its a RB, Lt, QB, TE, S, or DT so be it im fine with it.
  21. If Ted Ginn Jr and Santonio Holmes where only worth 5th RND picks, what trade value does Roscoe have?
  22. He doesnt really have a place. He is not a 3-4 DE and has never played OLB.
  23. they dont need to "win big" this year, and it will most likely be a 7-9 team at best. I dont think anybody thinks that a LT will magically solve our problems. This is an awful post.... noone wants there QB knocked around, want to know how to beat the pats and Indy- pressure there QBs. I think its pretty much understood by apparently everyone by you is that we have 2 huge needs on offense..QB and LT. We most likely arent going to solve them both this year and if we do they they will be young and inexperianced or average which seemingly will seem like we didnt make any improvements for the year to come. We most likely wont be competitive in our division for 2-3 years.
