My guess it was because urbic can back up 3 interior online positions and we should be able to replace his value as a starter due to the fact that he isn't very good. I don't see what appeal he has for being hired as a hc. He was clearly out coached in games he should have won, he was carried by a defense which he had little to do with, his offense regressed under him, his specialty with the oline made good players average. So his resume should say I make bad teams average and good players average. If going 8-5 as a head coach of syracuse means you can waltz around the NFL as a head coach than coaching is becoming a weatherman type job where you can be wrong everyday and still have a job
