  1. So many draft threads , didn't dare start a new one... Here's mine ...flame away. pick#10 1st Luke Kuechy ILB Boston college pick#41 2nd Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama pick#71 3rd Lavonte David OSLB Nebraska pick#105 4th Matt McCants OT UAB pick#124 4th Orson Charles TE Georgia pick#144 5th Justin Bethal CB Presbyterian pick#147 5th Andrew Datko OT Florida State pick#178 6th Marvin McNutt WR Iowa pick#217 7th Nick Foles QB Arizona pick#251 7th Josh Ogelsby OT Wisconson
  2. 1: Ryan Tannehill QB @ MIA 2: Michael Floyd WR @ CIN 3: Courtney Upshaw OLB @ SD 4: David DeCastro G @ CIN 5: Luke Kuechly LB @ BUF
  3. Not being on the roster is holding their own???
  4. Brian Baldinger NFL ,network analyst, made the point that Rocco looks ready, while covering an AFL game a few days back. I don't always agree with Baldy , but he made the same points about his ability and that some NFL club will probably be picking him up. http://www.arenafootball.com/news/rocco’s-serious-approach-work-ethic-pace-voodoo
  5. Really...after some of the -rap QB's the Bills have rolled thru here, did you even peek at Rocco to see who he is? and maybe he won't turn into a NFL QB, but I think he is worth a training camp look.
  6. Slap me up side the head if you wish but I want to put Kurt Rocco out there as a QB the Bills need to bring into camp. I've watched a few of his AFL( arena league)games (New Orleans VooDoo)and he really reminds me alot of another Kurt( Barnstormer- Kurt Warner). He is the best Div #3 QB in like forever. At 6'5" he runs well, very mobile, throws well on the run , has a quick release, very accurate, completes like 70% passes, stand in there and takes the big hit to get the ball off. Don't know if anyone else has followed him but I think we need to, he looks that good. Before everyone slaps, I saw Warner play arena ball live and Rocco looks just as good.
  7. Ditto glad you're on the mend. Nix and Gailey really do appear to have a good plan and the front office is burning some midnite oil and alot of Ralph's wallet to make it happen. I don't think I've felt this excited about the season since JK was playing. I rewatched our close game against the SBC Giants a few days ago. As beat up as we were with injuries we schooled them on offense most of the game. We were one hurried red zone pass away from the win. Take the roster we have now, pre-draft and healthy, we can beat anybody. The draft will be icying on the cake. The 2012 schedule looks to be 12-4, 11-5 with any luck at all. Whooo hoo go Bills. My breakout players for 2012, Marcus Easley WR( injuries and health problems behind, knows the playbook and Ryans game),Aaron Williams CB( with him playing opposite a healthy Terrance McGee I'd put our corners up against anyone., Jairus Byrd FS (with the new front end pressure, a repeat of rookie season stats),Shawm Merriman DE/OLB( finally stays healthy and vindicates the Bills faith in him, I mean come on he's only 27) Optimistic, you bet, don't blame me yell at Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey. Lots of stay away from injury there but how man years in a row can we lead the league in IR's.Luck has to hit us like lightning once in awhile.
  8. The biggest reasons for not decriminalizing drugs; It would put half of law enforcement, legal council, judiciary, and penal system employees out of work. Oops , forgot about the industry of drug testing and all the court ordered "rehab" centers, manufactures of electronic monitoring ect. ect. the list goes on.The war on drugs has become an industry in this country. That is the real problem. Wonder which catagory some of our posters fall under?
  9. Had all the talent in the world, still sucked as Pro QB . Have to wonder if the benign tumor effected his personality. I'm betting an "Oxy" addiction, ruined more lives than heroin, cocaine and maryjane together; brought to you by the FDA.
  10. Kinda like if only we'd had prescience about this thread.
  11. The "Mad Bomber"was pretty good but lets give Kemp some credit.he was a very good game general and brought us our only championships. He should be in the HOF as a AFL guy.
  12. Here's hoping you are up and running soon. Looks like you can ease up on worrying about our Bills, The"Boys from Dixie" seem to have a handle on this football thang. Just get better and keep up that left coast support.
  13. Well I suppose we could trade CJ for a 5th after taking him with a 1st. Or we could trade or release FredEx after he showed the league he's a top 5 back, which would do alot for team chem. Or, we could carry three starting RB's and give them each 7 or 8 touches a game, boy they'd have fresh legs in Dec.
  14. Just for a little perspective; there is a picture on the Bill's website of "Bid Shadow" Mike next to our NT's Dwan and Alex at the Variety Club Telethon. He dwarfs even these BIG men. Really, really hope he can learn the pro game and take the field for us.
  15. Question: Everyone is saying we have to release Edwards, Johnson, Kelsey or Carrington for roster or cap room; but is there no market to trade them. Seems in some teams needs/ system they would have value.
  16. Really, He looks almost svelt for a OL in that pick. Hope he's working on his core.Come on "Big Shadow".
  17. Not sure if it's been acknowleged but as per "FLO's"twitter page all the players in town are trying to organize tonite and hook up with "Super Mario" and RM.to try and keep them here.
  18. Seems the Bills are in need at the TE position. With Peyton Hillis a FA any thoughts of him filling the FB,HB/TE and short yardage RB rolls for the Bills.I know we all love Corey but Hillis is a very good receiver and runner. He has the size and speed .
  19. Isn't Sanborn signed thru 2014? i know that the Bills front office is secretive about the players contracts ,but does anyone know how much of his contract is guaranteed? Cutting him could result in a 2012 cap hit that would limit who we could sign.
  20. Well this weeks game against the Jets should test the NFL big market conspiracy. The question is: What tactic will be used to bring the Jets back into the race? Will we see blatantly bad calls or just opportune game changing holding or false start calls against the Bills. Maybe the no calls against the Jests technic or the famous pass interferance hail mary call. FOOD FOR THOUGHT........just sayin....
  21. Thanks , that was great... and yes I,m still LOL. Loved the added humor.... Man that 2nd O-line was hard to watch.
  22. I 'm sure not a expert on this , only sharing my viewpoint. To me it seems for a large Canadian/Toronto or other company to plunk down big money , Bills seats have to add promotional value to their bottom line. That will never happen with the team playing in a (sorry) old stadium in the middle of an old south towns corn field. It needs a glitz and glamour waterfront, Falls or revitalized downtown location. Something that can put the area back on a path to reconstruction. Otherwise, well maybe everyone can just follow the Bills to LA or Austin and begin life anew.
  23. If you do the math on what is refered to as " the Bills regional market area"( Western New york including the Southern Tier and east to the Rochester area, Southern Ontario including the Toronto area),then you are looking at a population of 15 to 20 million people hardly what would be called small market. I see the Bills revenue held back by stadium location and design and marketing. The Ralph was great in the day, but like anything else has to make way for tomorrow. I think the Bills could be a real money maker for a new owner,in the "regional market area",if a new stadium was more than just a place to play the game but also conceived as a "destination experience." Many of the expensive club suites could be marketed as part of inclusive travel packages that included the other local attractions, some examples might be ; "The Falls", Winter sports, Toronto tours,Cultural venues including the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra,hunting/fishing/boating/sailing/gambling packages ect.The region has almost endless options that are not being exploited. The area development councils need to think about the Bills as there magnet to draw people to the area for more than a four hour game but for a week or even longer. The area needs to be transformed. Business and government leaders have to stop kidding themselves that in todays world some mega industrial corporation will build a headquarters/factory in the area and hire a million people. The city of Buffalo could do itself a favor, stop thinking old, neglected, and empty properties hold any future revenue. The opposite is true. They end up being Section eight housing or occupied illegally by a population the requires additional public assistance adding to the public burden. Many areas of the city need to be acquired either thru condemnation or eminent domain and just bulldozed. I'm talking square miles.Replace them with parks and market cleared areas for new development.Create jobs to lift people from government subsistance rather than empowering it.Turn the region back into a destination people want to visit, not the butt of jokes. Sorry I've run on,but short sighted thinking is the reason our economy is where it is today.
  24. I think he makes the team. He went to Bethel Univ. which reminds me of Bethlehem, so he obviously has God on his side.
  25. I don't remember any feedback so far as to whether the rookies were getting Bills playbooks. Well it looks like the team veterans are taking it upon themselves to distribute copies. Verification found toward the end of todays Buffalo News story on Kelvin Sheppard. Good work guys.....
