This week while we are resting our guys, the Patriots lose the Broncos, the Dolphins lose to the Panthers and the Jets lose to the Ravens. SWEEEEEEET!!!!

NE is not going to be 13-3. Not even close. They could easily lose 3 of their next 5 games and be 9-6 when they take on the Bills in week 17. That's what I want to see. AFCE division championship game. Broncos Texans Browns Dolphins Ravens Bills None of these games are gimmies for NE. NE may even be knocked out of a playoff birth. Now that would be sweet.

Honorable mention to Searcy.

Was just looking at some defensive stats. I am very convinced that late season and playoff teams need to have a strong D to be successful. The Bills currently lead the entire league in both Sacks and Interceptions. There a bunch of young guys stepping up on this team and there are even some older guys like Kyle Williams, Mario Williams, Jarius Byrd returning to pro bowl form. This thing is far from over. I hope the Bills make a huge statement by whooping the tar out of Atlanta this week.

I must say, after this weekend's convincing win over the NYJs, that we are finally looking like a team that is turning things around. We go into our bye......finally! The team can now heal up. EJ can get some reps after a painfully long time off. Byrd is returning to pro bowl form. Kyle is returning to pro bowl form. And there are guys all over this Bills team making plays. Down the final stretch...... What I see is a whole bunch of AFC teams the Bills can catch. Hang on to your hats, because it ain't over yet!

If you go to Syracuse, then drive 2 1/2 hours due north to Potsdam, NY, there are a bunch of Bills fans here. Many New Yorkers see the Bills as the only true New York team. It was good to see Cuomo at the game!

Never liked coaching from the booth since Wanny. Seems to be to much of an impersonal approach. Plus, having a two way dialog with his QB in game situations is a good thing.

Goodwin had a good win today. That is all.

Maybe Chan had it right. He rarely used Spiller, but when he did, Spiller would knock it out of the park. Naw.... I'm more inclined to think that left guard had a lot to do with it. Bills pick up a real road grading guard in the draft and Spiller will return to form.

Nelson found out on twitter that Bills fans didn't really miss him much.

byrd had a great day but gotta go with Kyle. In fact the whole defensive line should get the game ball. They made the Jets offense look bad....real bad. EJ had a nice bounce back game, but I'm still pissed at him for last weeks performance.

Seriously? Hackett has had a revolving door of nothing but inexperienced QBs to work with. It's real easy to sit in your armchair and blather on about play calling. How about looking at the big picture? There isn't a play caller in this league that can miraculously fix the performance that EJ displayed this weekend. That was all rookie boneheadedness. He couldn't complete a 3rd down pass throughout the whole game. They even let him pass on first down 27 times and he still couldn't complete a damn pass. The play calling was fine.....EJ just laid a humungous egg. We all know that QB play has been the Bills biggest deficiency for quite some time. It still is. The rook needs to practice more and maybe(no guarantees) he'll come out firing like we know he can.

Yea. Like he's got the jitters or something.

Woods will be missed, but not that much. This game will be about establishing the run, anyway. I think our other WRs are more than capable of filling the void. Everyone likes to look at WR injuries and worry about it, but there are a lot of ways to pass. Don't forget Fred and CJ can catch too. We have weapons...lots of them.

The Bills defensive line our last game gave the Steelers a lot of trouble. Kyle Williams was in their backfield the whole game. That was just a 4 man rush and they very nearly won because of a strong defensive performance by the Bills that day. Just think how much of a handful our D is going to be now.

Good! That gives us an opportunity to take them down harder.

I'd like to add a few thoughts as well. After watching the defense against Drew Brees I came away thinking that this game would be entirely different if the offense could just sustain drives. All season, the Bills have managed to somehow put 20+ points on the board until this game. Sustaining long drives has happened, but it seems we are limited to one good one per game and then nothing(perhaps a short field here or there). Fortunately the defense has given the offense plenty of chances. Even in the Saints game, the defense came up with some big stops and Brees, you could tell, was very uncomfortable. The pass rush is really good but with the offense punting all the time, Brees had way too many chances. I really think our offense needs to find some answers and quick. What eludes me is just what needs to be done. Is it play calling? Weak offensive line?(Lewis has been getting mauled for three weeks strait). Is the problem just inexperience at QB? Or is it our key players, Fred, CJ and Stevie limping around the field? I'm not so sure everything can be attributed injuries and on the other side of the coin, I can't believe the play calling is the main problem. Perhaps a combination of things. For once however, I have absolutely no complaints about effort. Maybe some boneheaded mistakes from time to time but I really thought the team as a whole put forth one heck of an effort. I do love this team. It's hard to see such great effort only to see a loss like this. But at the halfway point and after looking at the issues I have outlined, I can't help thinking that things are looking up. All of this stuff is correctable. After the game I got a kick out of hearing Boomer saying that the Chiefs are in for a big surprise in Buffalo next week. I sure hope he's right. Go Bills!!

Our QBs are getting hit way too much. This needs to be addressed. OL scrappy? I don't know about that.

This team doesn't need an OC. It needs a quality QB and a line to protect him. Lewis was getting mauled the whole game. It would be nice to see more holes open up for the run too. This OL sucks. In fact the QB has been getting mauled the whole season.

We have a practice squad QB with 3 starts. Stevie is his main target. Thad hasn't had time with the starters to really gel. He's thrown some good balls to Stevie and Chandler. Struggling to get in sync with other receivers. Keeps overthrowing his targets. Of course there has to be a better plan for giving him some time to throw. The guy was getting mauled. Back to back helmet to helmet penalties then a couple of plays later he gets knocked down and while on the ground gets kicked in the helmet. Anyway, Stevie is who Thad has been getting in rhythm with. He's too important to this QB to be out. Should be getting more reps with his other receivers.
