  1. Pats 37 Bills 24 I'm not shooting at all, I'd go with your 37 points for the patriots with Brady nailing at least 3 passing TD's. Many early in the game but a slow finish. The 37 points allowed is due to a new defensive system with a rookie at SS, you know Brady is going to pick on his side of the field all day and Nate will probably get burned once or twice. I don't like Brady but he'll probably have another great game. The only way he has a bad game is if he suffers double compound fractures on both femurs from dual hits from Fletcher-Spikes. I'll give Buffalo 24 points from a strong Willis showing and a very promising start from JP. Willis 1 TD 115 yards rushing 23 carries Price 1 TD 3 catches 82 yards Evans 1 TD 6 catches 130 yards Lindell 1 FG but 7 missed attempts The TE's will have a strong day but no TD's. Everett 3 catches Royal 4 catches Please don't anyone shoot me as messanger. I only aim low to preserve my often questioned sanity.
  2. Huh? Could you please explain your standards for comparison.
  3. An absolute great post. TD had some very good drafts. I think it was his "meddling" last year that ticked off alot of fans. Also his failure to address the OL through the draft the last two seasons.
  4. C'mon man, a link would be cool. I can't find it on espnradio.com. Please direct us
  5. I'm certainly not trying to start an argument because I do like your posts. But I don't think Shelton is one of the best in the game: Mike Allstot Justin Griffith Lorenzo Neil Dan Kreider Mack Strong Mike Karney Patrick Pass etc etc etc. Consistent problems running and catching the football seem to be his mainstays. I wondered why Burns was listed as a FB before. Thank you for clarifying that. Still I don't think Burns should have made it over Gates.
  6. Very surprised that King got cut. He had some production last year as a rookie. Also surprised that Ricard didn't supplant Shelton as Ricard has more than just blocking skills. Baker doesn't surprise me much only because Buffalo acquired so much secondary help in the offseason. Of all the cuts I'd bet Baker will end up playing for someone. Burns on IR kind of ticks me off. I'd have kept Gates and cut him instead. Burns has been here how many years? And what has he REALLY done? What is Burns position anyway? Is he a RB or an FB? I remember seeing him listed as either. If he's being labeled a FB then I'm real surprised that he's there over Ricard.
  7. I think most people felt that Moulds could still produce though. Holcomb is too aged and his arm strength seems to have dropped off a cliff in the last year.
  8. Good question. I think probably No F'ing way we'd get a draft pick for him. Maybe a 7th or a "pretend" pick in the "I don't give a sh_t draft" which is held every year in "Who gives a fu_kville?"
  9. Really surprised he made the team.
  10. Dude, BBM? Big Bowel Movement? "Hey guys I just had the most impressive BBM ever." "Buffalo signs Big Bowel Movement to a 4 year 34 million dollar deal."
  11. That knee injury still makes me queezy even thinking about it. I only dis on him when he talks but that's because he makes it so easy. To think that he pretty much kicked himself in the face from that injury is amazing.
  12. The crabpeople theme song is absolutely hilarious.
  13. The flagrant heroin abuse usually comes post Jesus' birthday.
  14. Nice Darick Holmes reference. Haven't heard that name in quite some time.
  15. Good point, first botched pass and the death threats start. Other than that, Thank you to all. (tears)
  16. All the negative Nancy's say the preseason means nothing. I believe that there is definite marked improvement in Losmans play. If ANYTHING at all at least he doesn't look so out of place in the backfield anymore.
  17. I hope this dispute is the beginning of the end of the empire.
  18. We should just go ahead and take this one to the dumps. ILB- I Like Boobies GGA- Go Get Aids FU- Obvious JLLFMB- Jauron Looks Like Fire Marshall Bill EP- Eat Poop
  19. Being somewhat of a newbie to TSW I would like fellow posters to please post some abbreviations so that I can stay in the discussion a bit longer. Example: IMHO apparently means In My Honest Opinion I have seen many others and IMHO I get baffled at times. Dear Mods-This is probably off-topic I ask that you please don't move or delete it for a few days so that tards like myself can catch up.
  20. I agree ByTor2112, I guess I think that it's good for the individual players level of motivation and self image to put up some decent numbers and feel that they contributed towards a winning effort or at least an effort to improve. Of course I will accept the possibility that the preseason is generally viewed as "not very important" by the players. I don't know anyone tied closely to an actual NFL team so I probably shouldn't speak so rigidly in my opinion.
  21. Of course the preseason=0 when only viewed as a W/L outcome compared to the regular season. It also means nothing in determining post season appearances. I think what Kelly the FBD is trying to convey here is that there were very few (if any) high points/highlights to the Redskins preseason. Pre-season is important for a few things, like developing teamwork, developing depth players and is also just for general analysis of newer players in somewhat real game situations. 0-4 is no big deal in the preseason if one can view their team and feel that players developed, teamwork emerged etc. If Washington went 0-4 because they didn't take the preseason even remotely seriously I would have grave concerns for their organization and motivation. If coaches and assistants didn't feel comfortable criticizing or praising before week 1 then no cuts would be made and the depth chart would get all out of whack. Preseason camps and preseason games are for the soul purpose of assessing players abilities and forming a team.
  22. What is the 0-4 preseason stat? (curse or something?)
  23. Good observations fair and balanced one. It is a very tough choice to make. I would put my vote in for Davis. It's not that I don't think Aiken is a premiere ST player. It's been his rough performances as a WR in season games (NE last year for example) that make me lean towards Davis. Davis has caught many more balls for many more yards in only 1 more season than Aiken. (aside from the 70 yarder tonight) Davis brings ST to the table but also solid receiving skills. It sadly seems that Aiken only brings receiving skills to the table during the preseason games. Career Numbers: Davis 102 catches for 1602 9 tackles total Aiken 18 catches for 240 17 tackles total (Stats NFL.com)
  24. Given the up and coming soap opera in Dallas I really hope he stays healthy too so that he can make some bad throws to TO and get the situation fired up. Seriously though, this head-on will not affect the guy. He took some monstrous hits in Bfloa and always seemed to get up and play again. He'll get wailed, get up and then do his stupid double clap to his teamates. God I hated that double clap.
  25. Buffalo #25 Jacksonsville #26 New Orleans #27 Oakland #28 San Fran #29 San Diego #30 Atlanta #31 Minnesota #32 It'd be nice to see the Raiders move back to LA to put a stop to all the "LA needs a team talk"
