  1. "aint' so different at all" from what? American manufacturers? just look at the reliability numbers put out every year by car and driver and get back to me how many american companies are at the top of the list.
  2. I've never owned any other brand than Toyota and I will always keep it that way. I have a 2003 Corolla now with 75k, no problems (knock on wood) I owned an 88' that I just got rid of that ran strong at 240k. People love to point out when Toyota or Honda has a recall but I'm quite sure that the amount of recalls on American brand cars is much higher.
  3. Bill Bratsky 72 New England 2
  4. you make a fine point Doctor Cannabis
  5. While I agree that Smith received some uneccesary hatin, TH and WM both deserve(d) it greatly. Willis took the one major concern on every true fans mind (relocation) and slammed it back into our faces.
  6. I think he was more slamming Willis in that he had to go through a paternity suit before he would acknowledge that the children in question were actually his. 3 kids 3 different mothers is usually an indicator that something is wrong, especially when you're 25 years old. who cares about the whole marriage thing, it's the sheer numbers that Willis puts out that are baffling.
  7. I think Whitner had a much better season than what Milloy would have had if he hadn't been cut. While I don't like the money that Whitner is making I'll deal with it and make a judgment after his second season. The McCargo pick is very hard to judge, he was making tackles and was beginning to become visible on the field just before he was injured.
  8. I honestly wonder if Spikes moving to MLB is a possiblity. If he regains his speed he will most certainly be faster than what Fletch would have provided. TKO is also a monster on run support. This all assumes a full recovery, if he doesn't hit full recovery he stays below average which gives him 1 more year in B-flo.
  9. yep, it'll be 9-11 versus Katrina, adversity vs. american pride or whatever the hell you want to call it, either way most of americans are sucker idiots who will become emotional over it. huge stupid debacle in the superbowl all we'll hear about is the emotional trauma of 9-11 and Katrina whatever
  10. honestly, I felt the same way. I was so sick of hearing about the Bolts, we heard about them all season long, Philip Rivers=jesus, Shawn Merriman is a genius supreme athlete etc etc. It was annoying watching the Pats win but I loved it
  11. Your friends insight on the matter is probably quite accurate although there is no way to measure such. People tend to pull together through tough times and it helps greatly when there is some sort of unifying force (Saints) to focus attention on.
  12. congratulations, you can pick up your medal at the nearest short bus stop.
  13. Just don't forget that washington is always considered a contender from early April until about mid September. This may fool old Drewbag however.
  14. I'm pretty sure that New Orleans is quite a touristy area, even now, what is there to see/do in Buffalo?
  15. CBS is far better except that they don't broadast in HD in the Binghamton area. sucks balls
  16. yep, I completely agree with you on that one Peyton had gold (amazing talent) to work with this season and an NFC schedule. Jauron had questionable talent at almost every position, managed to bring the team together, kept them together through a 2-5 start and still finished with 7 wins despite the hardest schedule in the NFL. Props to Jauron, this team would have won 2 games with anyone else
  17. So true, poor Willis has no breakaway speed whatsoever, even after losing 10 pounds in the offseason. He's a dancing fullback.
  18. with how valuable experience is in the NFL I highly doubt that any team would hold a player back as part of some off-season ploy to fool other teams into thinking that our nickle CB is some sort of secret weapon.
  19. If Nate leaves the CB position becomes a glaring need, perhaps one that needs to be addressed with a 1st or second round pick. Youboty barely played this season which is concerning, I understand the whole bit about his mother and I don't doubt his personal suffering or the angst that he felt as a result of her death. However, the entire situation has forced him to become a 2nd year rookie which is not good because as you pointed out McGee looked horrible this year, his play was inconsistent at best and when teams focused their passing game to his side of the field he played quite ugly and gave up many costly TD's. We can't start a 2nd year rookie as the #1 CB and a career nickle back as the #2 CB. The pass defense will be in shambles. I suspect that the reason that the Bills finished 8th in pass defense (or whatever the number is) was because of the solid play of Nate Clements. The safeties played excellently for rookies but only adequately on a comparitive level. I really don't like the thought of Youboty, McGee, Whitner and Simpson as the secondary next year.
  20. I'm guessing that I would probably agree with the post but it was way too long for me to read. I'd like to see the NFL set a rate with bonus pay for individual performance, here's my example for a starting RB Starting running back with 3 years experience: Base pay of 1 million dollars 500,000 for 1000 yards gained 500,000 for 8 TD's or more (or pay based on each TD) 500,000 for YPC average greater than 4.2 etc etc, the league could get very creative here. There would be all sorts of incentives, as long as it doesn't come out looking like the tax code it could work. IMO it would ensure greater effort (than current) over longer periods of time by the individual players.
  21. I would think that if everything stays the same that the Redskins would be willing to part with all of their draft picks this year and 5 future 1st round picks. Imagine the headline: Washington trades 6 1st round picks and all remaining 07' picks for Willis McGahee, McGahee then signed to a 3 year 64 million dollar contract. friggin redskins They should be called the Washington Irrelevants
  22. yep, the whole system is based on cases and scenarios from 50 years ago. women are as capable and have as much earning power as men do, period.
  23. Honestly, that has to be the worst pre-nup I have ever seen. poor r-tard
  24. If he's not playing I'd imagine him coaching somewhere, he'd make a great sideline fluffer.
