  1. Good, I hope his leg is shattered and he will never play again. I also hope he somehow gets addicted to crack and loses all of his money like Lawrence Taylor. Harrison is the biggest scumbag in the NFL and finally karma came back to him. Albeit a minor leg injury is only 1/500000th of the karma he deserves back.
  2. I spoke too damned soon, Pennington did not play well against Baltimore. Turnstyle that often ended up way in the backfield looking confused and beleaguered.
  3. I'm so sick of Dick Clark, how old is he now? 154? Guy should just hang it up already.
  4. I got the frigging chargers, how stupid. I don't know who to root for. maybe the Eagles or Jets
  5. Okay Pyrite, I like and agree with your post. Give us your prediction now though, do Fletch and NC stay or what? Does the team anty up some serious dough to retain them?
  6. definitely a dissapointment for the team, isn't there some stat somewhere on teams failing to make the playoffs after a super bowl victory? I'd be curious to see what it was. Of course Pitt also lost the Bus and a versatile WR, can't think of his name right now though, too tired. This season proved to me that a QB is often defined by the team/talent level around him (there are fringe cases though that defy this, Grossman for example or Dilfer of the 2000 Ravens)
  7. It blows my mind that every single year the Dolphins are a favorite to either go deep in the playoffs or win the super bowl. Next year is probably going to be worse, their defense is quite aged and probably a bit upset that their offense was so abysmal this year. Hey at least Fins and Bills fans have something in common, they both have been Mularkized.
  8. This is a really poor approach in my opinion, it would seem apparent to me and I would also hope to the coaches that when your defense effectively stops the run you tend to win more games. Force the opposing team into passing mode, force turnovers and sacks and get your 'O' back on the field. Maybe I'm an idiot but it seems that to win in the NFL or football in general you really have to do 2 things effectively, there are of course other factors but these two seem quite paramount. 1. Run the ball 2. Stop the run
  9. No need to apologize Casey D, most informative post I've read here in months, thank you.
  10. It seemed to me that the Ravens very often had 5 defensive backs in the game, the announcers mentioned this quite often.
  11. well he only played 14 games but I still won't make any excuses for the guy. Hope he leaves.
  12. JP did have a bad game but to not give him any excuse at all against he #1 defense in the league that looked like it will win a super bowl is a bit harsh. Just my thoughs, happy new years Mike.
  13. JP didn't have a stellar game I agree. A few bad throws here and there, he did show some decent leadership however and I am still very comfortable with him at QB. Another note: the O-line looked terrible today, I am not sold on Terrance Pennington one bit anymore. He was a turnstyle today and often ended up deep in the backfield looking confused. The lesson of this season as in the past 6 seasons is that when the Bills have an adequate O-line the overall play of the entire team improves. It's really simple and really frigging apparent but once again here it is. It needs to be addressed #1 in the offseason. Run defense doesn't mean sh_t when your offense can't get anythign going because your run game is sh_t and your QB is getting minimal pocket time.
  14. This is the most important aspect posted in this entire thread. Whitner just seems too small, he doesn't "play big" like some undersized players do. He got owned today by Heap and has gotten owned often by other TE's. He'll be adequate at that position but when his salaray jumps way up I wouldn't be surprised to see him released.
  15. Perry Fewell was quoted earlier in the season as saying that the Bills 'D' is not strictly Cover 2 all the time. If he is comfortable with some modification then why not add a big DT for 1st and 2nd downs. I believe that run defense starts with a mammouth tackler at one of the DT positions. There are DT's out there that maintain quickness but also do not get pushed off the ball quite as badly as our current DT's.
  16. This defensive failure was reminiscent of the Bills v. Steelers in 2004. Just when you needed it to come up big, you had a dump taken on you.
  17. A very safe statement by London which worries the hell out of me. Often these safe and dare I say "politically correct" (friggin hate that phrase) statements don't mean good things for folks like us. It seems like a nice way of saying, "pay me bittch or I'm gone"
  18. I agree that most likely Fletch is gone, Spikes may follow also. Many cite that TKO may see full recovery, I don't think waiting for this to happen is going to be part of Marv's approach in the off season. Marv goes after or drafts smart, youthful players. Even if TKO does fully recover how many good years does he have left? The draft this year will be strongly defensive with probably 1 O-lineman picked up. I'd imagine an MLB early on, maybe 2nd or 3rd round. We'll see Crowell, Rookie MLB and Ellison all starting next year. It'll be a real fast LB corps, just have to hope that their instincts get on the same page.
  19. I agree with you about Gandy, the only true loss would be continuity and the teamwork he has developed with Fowler and Peters at his sides. I believe that this continuity and teamwork can be replaced with a solid player who plays all the way through training camp. Total agreement about the offensive line in how it relates to defensive play. Consecutive 3 and outs is a defensive killer, and even more than that, it's a morale killer.
  20. How about working with Cieslak as a FB? It might kill two birds with one stone. A mult-threat fullback is an odd find in the NFL. The receiving skills are already in place, he runs tight routes and I'm sure with some work he could learn how to push forward and gain a few yards.
  21. Thanks ofiba, on a side note I wonder what $20 million worth of hot dogs looks like.
  22. You should have made a statement and driven your truck into the fingerers.
  23. I'll feel alot more comfortable with him when the offense begins to run to the right side again. As a 7th rounder his play is outstanding and I have high hopes for him.
  24. I thought with revenue sharing all teams took in money from a general fund, so this money isn't to be used on salaries?
