  1. I agree; they have a real good defense, but the offense has still managed to score points, despite starting an undrafted free agent from Samford--not Stanford. That wouldn't happen if there weren't some very good pieces in place around him.
  2. Which is why it's usually a bad idea to trade up.
  3. Good, then we should destroy them.
  4. Feel free to disagree. I’ve watched a lot of Steeler games this year; it’s a really talented group and it’s a big reason the Steelers haven’t fallen on their face despite being down to playing a third-string undrafted rookie QB.
  5. How about this? I disagree that those teams have better WR groups than Pittsburgh.
  6. Yes. It’s a big reason that the Steelers unloaded Antonio Brown.
  7. I’m not sure any one of them has been outstanding, but as a group I believe they are. Oh, I know. It’s just a juvenile and annoying figure of speech.
  8. Why are all those teams saying hi? I don’t understand.
  9. I wasn't including the QB. Smith-Schuster, James Washington and Dionte Johnson are as good as any WR group in the league, McDonald is an above average TE and Conner is an excellent RB. I would take those guys over the Bills skill position players any day and I don't think it's even close. There is a reason Ducky Hodges has been successful, and it's not the NFL-level coaching he received at Stamford. If JA had a similar group of skill position players, he'd be lighting up the scoreboard. Smith-Schuster has been hurt, but he's proven he's a really good WR. Same with Connor at RB. James Washington is emerging as a serious downfield threat, and Dionte Johnson is one of the two or three best rookie receivers in a very good WR class. When Smith-Schuster is healthy (I know he's out this weekend), I can't think of a WR group in the league that I'd rather have.
  10. I think you're missing one or two, even if you don't count the interims. I think there was one between Rauch and Saban.
  11. Not sure which team you're talking about, but the Steelers have outstanding offensive skill position players, just like they always have.
  12. I didn’t expect Darryl Johnson to light it up this year, but sometimes late-round, small school guys can turn into big-time edge rushers, but it doesn’t happen immediately. (See Matt Judon). I expect the team to go after a veteran pass rusher this offseason, but I see adding offensive playmakers as the clear number 1 priority, in the draft and in free agency. The quality of the available offensive weapons is probably the biggest difference between the Ravens and the Bills this year. No reason the Bills can’t be next year’s Ravens.
  13. What happened to Darryl Johnson? I haven’t noticed him much lately.
  14. Guess I can burn that Jets moneyline ticket now. ?
  15. No different, really, than baseball keeping the steroid cheats out of the baseball HoF; just a different form of cheating.
  16. I like the Vikings, too, because the Chargers have zero HFA this time of year, but I don't like taking favorites on the moneyline. Love the Bears and the Rams this weekend. I too was tempted to put about $3 on the Jets moneyline, but I just can't see it. Darnold against that defense, on the road?
  17. I hope you’re not suggesting that six 200-yard games is a modest total. No one has rushed for more, and OJ really only had five NFL seasons in his prime.
  18. Perhaps someone could send a bat signal to the commish. TSW would like to hear from him directly on this important issue.
  19. The actual content of the tape is pretty much irrelevant, assuming it is in fact a tape of the Bengals' sideline during the game. What matters is who, if anyone, instructed the crew to videotape the Bengals' sideline and what they were asked to do with the tape. And if it is a tape of the Bengals' sideline during a game, which would potentially contain competitively useful information, it will not be released to the general public.
  20. Boston Scott???? Are you f-ing kidding me? He’s 10 times better than second round pick Miles Sanders.
  21. Yes, yes it was. Did the announcers even mention that little detail? (I had it muted.)
  22. Dexter Lawrence is a mountain. I would not have been heartbroken if we had taken him at 9.
