1. Uninformed people. Al Davis really wanted McGahee, I have heard or read from multiple sources. Of course they could all be wrong, but somehow I doubt it. McGahee would not have been there for the Bills in the second round.
2. I'll second it Idiotic is a start then its downhill from there
3. Two different issues. Maybe I should have been clearer. The CB, I believe it was McGee gave way too much cushion allowing Fiedler to hit those quick passes for 5-7 yards. These are the ones Van Pelt was commenting on. I know its not the CB's responsibility to cover McMichael but couldn't tell if Prioleau (he was on that side) had the TE responsibility or if Posey was supposed to pick him up.
4. That sure would be sweet. Ralph Wilson is surely deserving. Happy Birthday Mr. Wilson, not only a wonderful owner of our beloved Buffalo Bills but a really, really nice man. One more thing after the game while being interviewed RW downplayed the win as a present to him. He said he ws happy for the players and coaches but most of all the fans....the fans who have not had many things to cheer about lately but show up game after game. Not only a decent and good man but a sincere and humble one to boot.
5. Good points Campy. Don't know if you could see it on every passing play but McGahee (except once) is a way better blocker than what I have seen out of Henry in the past. That is one reason Bledsoe had time to throw today. In the post game interview McGahee said that each week he continues to feel better about his responsibilities in running the ball but that Travis Henry is still the starter. We'll see. Another thing he said that I found interesting; WM said that he learned in high school to keep his "legs churning" when fighting for those extra yards. Been a long time since we've seen a Bills back do that. The knee wasn't even mentioned as far as I can recall.
6. For one thing, the CB's were giving way too much cushion. Even Alex Van Pelt made mention of this more than once. Whoever was supposed to cover McMichael, didn't. Blown coverage on McMichael more than a few times; the guy had no one even close to him and this has to be corrected. I've never been a fan of Gray's "soft" defensives and we saw the results once again today.
7. Yes it was!!!!! never under 20mph all game with frequent gusts in the thirties One aspect of the kicking game that was decent was the punting of Brian Moorman. Lindell's kickoffs even with the wind had little difference in distance from other games at the Ralph. This leads me to believe that he's kicking to a particular player or side of the field most of the time.
8. So true, I've come across this type of BS more than a few times. PS....people the Bills won, enjoy the win
9. If they were to go 16-0 some people would still piss and moan, wouldn't they? 73301 Unfortunately the world is full of negative people who can't see the positives of an event or the goodness in people. This is true in everything, not just sports.
10. I agree Be a good question to ask Donahoe. If its such a stupid rule why isn't it changed?
11. I'll save any real praise until after that game... 73609 So will I but Bledsoe did play his best game in a long time. Very decisive with the ball which was good to see. No pat-pat-pat plus the line did an overall good job with a noticable improvement up the middle with Ross Tucker at center for the injured Trey Teague. I was at the game and the wind was brutal, no let-up all game long but Bledsoe for the most part was on target with his passes. I've been a critic of DB when I thought it was warrented but I'll give him his do that today he played a decent game. I just hope the team can build off this win and DB continues to play like he did today.
12. Well at least your rain is a little warmer IM glad your finally getting some rain. BTW I wish you were here also, my friend. The wind is a steady 20mph right now out of the SW; at least the rain...uh sleet has slowed for the moment. Off to see the Bills win their first...taking another newbie to the game, every time we do the Bills have won
13. So would I, but if history with this organization is any indication any o-line talent upgrade will be fluffed off, if in fact any of the dummies at one-bills drive can identify good offensive linemen or for that matter talent in general.
14. I'm used to the pass protection mistakes, but I really don't understand why he continues to struggle with run-blocking. 64462 Maybe they are too mentally tough for him to comprehend or maybe he's so out-of-shape the quickness needed for T isn't there. Whatever the reason, he sure wasn't worth taking at the fourth pick in the draft.
15. This team needs a LOT of work. 64345 True...and its going to take more than one season to fix..if we're lucky. Free agency of course can speed up the process and maybe a trade but Donahoe's record in both areas is medicore at best. Donahoe was right when he said he needed to do a better job also. So far he hasn't.
16. If RW does any review and that's a big IF, it will be after the season. RW has given Donahoe complete reign over this team and last time I checked (before the season) Ralph Wilson was content with TD'd job so far. Of course that could well change but I get the sense that we'll be stuck with Donahoe for a while. Myself I think Donahoe has been well off the mark in his drafting and FA signings for the most part, let alone his mis-steps in assembling a competent coaching staff. I can't believe that RW(knowing what I know) would tighten the purse strings if Donahoe wanted a "certain" coach. These hires have been ALL Donahoe, but the bottom line is you still have to have talanted players who play smart football. In that regard this Bills team is this dumbest - hands down that I witnessed these many years.
17. But burn the jersey. IM saving mine to burn at next years tailgate....what a joke Donahoe has really sold us a bill of goods...what a con job Ten years from now he'll still be re-building....I've lost all faith in TD Came thru the club at halftime looking lost and befuddled(sp) This organization is rotten from the head down; mistake after mistake has billsfanone my beloved Buffalo Bills. I have been going to games for over fourty years, sat thru some pretty dismal seasons but this team borders on laughable. TD has killed my Bills
18. Unfortunately I think you might be right, I have very little faith in this o-line and wouldn't be surprised if Bledsoe felt the same way. Downfield throws...don't hold your breath. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Raiders, stack the line and rattle Bledsoe, early and often. Hey, its been working As far as the defense, who is going to be the "hotdog" this week who goes for the Int and gets burned? Pathetic a$$clowns must have been alsleep during football 101.
19. Happy Anniversary Rich and Lisa and hope You both have many happy years together. BTW how's the leg?
20. Happy birthday Kelly, good to see you again
21. Ice it was nice to finally meet you. Hope the bug passes quickly. As far as you and Donahoe talking...I believe you. Donahoe came flying through the club 10 minutes later than he usually does Even made a comment to Lisa that TD was running late..it was all your fault
22. Bill, Millie and you are in my prayers my friend. I really, really hope that there is nothing serious with your Wife. May God bless You both.
23. Happy Birthday Scott Thanks for all Your hard work You put into this great site
24. No need to drive up to Canada for beer, same exact beer can be found at Tops or Wegmans. The free trade agreement changed things. Plus its cheaper here besides.
