1. Very useful link, thank You
2. Very interesting, thanks for replying.
3. IMO Henry didn't help the Bills in what they could receive in a trade. His displeasure of being with the Bills, is I imagine widely known and disgruntled players rarely net teams a good return in a trade. Another thing TH's hard hitting running style doesn't bode well for him to remain in the NFL for too many more years and he's been injured more than once. He's damaged goods at this point after not being able to play before the end of the Bills' season, further lowering his trade value. The best way to move him IMO is before the draft in a package deal involving Henry and a draft choice for a higher draft selection. Donahoe will get what he thinks is close to fair compensation or Henry, weather he likes it or not will be a Buffalo Bill next season IMO.
4. What are the Liberty Tubes? Thanks
5. Naw Lisa wouldn't do that, she knows you're good people and we both love ya
6. Thank You my friend. Many times in the past I would be told about certain things that were in the "works" or had a good possibilty of occurring but held off saying anything because usually it was requested that I didn't. I guess IM "old school" or maybe IM just old, but I was taught that if you give your word, you keep it, for that is a bond of trust that once broken can never be repaired. It is truely a fragile gift.
7. Uhh!! I believe Mike was sticking up for You. BTW I don't doubt your info is legit. I have known people in the Bills organization over the years and still do to some extent but don't share stuff anymore here because whats to gain? I have friends from TBD that I share info with that know that what I tell them is usually 99% correct but won't post it here anymore because it just brings childish scorn. There are other posters that I know, that have good insight into what the pulse of the Bills is, so-to-speak, that share info with me that won't post it here also. IM a little older than most here and for most of my generation you could count on a persons word. Too, too bad for those of you in the me generation that you can't believe or trust anyone.
8. Thanks for letting us know. After the football season is finished, I will probably start to go through hockey withdrawal
9. On 20A, just off 219 there is always 2-3 guys with a bunch of tickets. Those are the pros, but often in the same stretch of road will be someone with one or two tickets. Years ago before I had seasons, I had a small sign "need ticket" for the rare time I didn't get a ticket before hand. I would hang out around the fieldhouse...worked every time. There's always someone that has an extra ticket; you just have to make people aware that your in need of one. One more thing, I've never had a regular fan charge more than face value, in fact most of the time much lower. Good luck !!
10. That's who I would vote for. Tom Sestak was absolutly dominating. Too bad his knees gave out shortening his playing days. Here's a guy that should be in the HOF but probably will never happen because Sestak played before the AFL-NFL merger. Larry Felser while working at the Buffalo News as its sports editor, had a HOF ballot and tried for years to get Tom Sestak nominated. BTW Felser pushed hard for Jim Kellys induction just before he retired from his full time duties at the News and had some input on the induction of Billy Shaw.
11. This offense MUST start showing it can run 80 yard drives and do so damn quick or we are in trouble. I agree whole-heartedly; the O has to play better and more consistently or they are not going to get very far against better teams. You are right Drew Bledsoe is a class act and a hell of a nice guy. I was hoping when Bledsoe came to the Bills that the short-commings I noticed in his game with the Pats could somehow be corrected. The same thing I saw then IM seeing now. I won't bash the guy, all players hit the"wall" so-to-speak when its evident that its time to hang up the cleats. After 40 years of watching my beloved Buffalo Bills, I haven't for quite some time (maybe 30 years ) gone ga-ga over this player or that player but focused more on the team as broken down by units; O,D.& ST. I don't expect many fans to watch or pick up on the different factors that can make or break a play(even this fan misses more than he catches today ) but IM seeing the same tendencies today with DB that I saw him make with the Pats. Its too bad to, I was really hopeful DB could turn it around with the Bills, but he hasn't and its time to move on. I took off the rose colored glasses a long time ago. Merry Christmas Ice
12. Congratulations to Your wife and You on the birth of Your son J.P. Your life will never be the same
13. So true stay away from Chrysler. My wife got the PT Dream Cruiser and the extended warranty. They gave me such a hard time repairing a faulty ball joint at about 20 thou. Plus this POS gets damm awful gas mileage. Lease is up in March and we are dumping it. IM not going to go thru the hassle of fighting with these jokers everytime something under warrenty needs to be fixed. That wasn't the only problem we had, just the worst. This was our first and will be our last time dealing with Chrysler.
14. That's my take on this game also. I see it going right down to the wire. Bledsoe 300 plus yards as Bungles stack the line to shut down McGahee.
15. [ Same with the guy who came from VaTech a few years ago and was even shot and then got cut....LB converted to DE... 162508 That was Cory Moore drafted in the third round in 2000. Another "tweener" a term I hope I never hear used again in refference to a Bills player....bust,bust,bust
16. I am pretty sure that Leypolt was the kicker who missed a field goal attempt in the rockpile, and as he was walking to his car after the game he was mugged.(He said that he deserved the beating for missing the field goal) 161119 I know Booth Lusteg got mugged on Main St, between Utica and West Ferry drunk out of his gourd after a game. Another head case who was cut after the 66 season. Switched numbers in the middle of the season, I guess to help his field-goal kicking Now you might be right about Leypolt also. I was in the Navy during the time he played for the Bills.
17. Great...now I'm jonesing for the old uniforms and red standing buffalo helmet again. Bring them back ! 156480 How I wish....How I wish..sigh
18. Meredith was traded to the Bills in 64 from the Oilers. There was a certain animosity toward Meredith when he first arrived in Buffalo and in fact some people never forgave him for what he had done the previous football season. In the 1962 draft, the Bills drafted a running back from Penn St. in the 15th round (remember this was the old AFL-not a heck of a lot of teams)by the name of Roger Kochman. In the game against the Oilers in 63, Meredith cheap-shoted (at least to manny Bills fans) Kochman. Kochman's running was a surprise and he quickly became a fan favorite. Meredith's hit on Kochman's knee was so bad that he never played again. A favorite player of mine way back when was George Saimes a FB from Michigan St. drafted in the 6th round in 1963. With the Bills he was switched to Safety. He was a fearless player when it came to contact.
19. Me too Thanks AD that was funny, funny
20. I asked Kelly and that's what he told me.
21. Dan's not kidding !! Happened to our niece who is divorced and her four kids. She didn't have any proof of divorce but just happened to have family pics of her and the kids. They still gave her a hassel though. Living in WNY and having quite a few friends in Fort Erie and Niagara Falls we travel back and forth to Canada quite frequently, don't whatever you do, make wise cracks of any kind. That will get you a long delay. Customs on both sides can dismantle a car if they want to. No warrent,no nothing! What's the best approach? Honesty. If your a group of 20 something year old guys and are going to the Sundowner...tell them; if you say oh, we're going sightseeing; that's red flag time and a pull over for sure. Things You could be asked: Where do You live? or most often now-Citizenship!! Where are You going? How long do You plan to stay? or if returning from Canada................................How long were you in Canada? Another thing if your renting a car (they punch in the plate number on both sides) it will show up as a rental. So don't say Buffalo when asked where You live, if your driving a rental..red flag time again. Plus these customs officials know a Buffalo accent The Canadian customs employees have been in a foul mood and labor slowdown for some time over wages so many of them are a little edgy, so no wise-cracks, they're in no mood for them. If You buy something, tell them. I've never ever been pulled over for shopping, even all weekend in Toronto If buying a case of brew, I leave it on the back seat, same with booze if you have been in Canada for 48 hours. The worst mistake is saying you don't have anything to declare and then having an inspector find it ! Then life gets a little more interesting.
22. I expect the defense to play better this week, however your point about the weather is on the mark. There's going to be snow, how much, how early, depends on the winds. The first lake effect storm of the season is expected to blow in on Sunday. If its snowy and the winds are around 25-30 this could be a very low scoring game.
