Texans and Cowboys players test positive
Chandler#81 replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pardon my French, but to Hell with your opinion. Simply put, Players ARE going to get the virus. Most likely some of us too. They’re young & in great physical condition while being afforded the very best medical capabilities. The vast majority of people who’ve contracted the disease are not only fine within a month, they’re then immune. ”PLAY BALL!”!- 249 replies

Vikings Fan tells Josh to Shut Up
Chandler#81 replied to Mickey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1st of all, moron, he said “rep”, not rap. Subtle pronunciation difference but large difference in meaning. Always liked the Vikings. Have since their beginning in ‘60. (Some here may not know they were all set to become an AFL franchise in ‘59 as the NFL turned down their request. When the Foolish Club came calling, they jumped at the chance -until the NFL stepped in, “changed their mind” and awarded Minneapolis a franchise.) But for the foreseeable future, they’re crap to me now. and WTMFF does he mean “Barr let him hurdle him!”??? -

Good question. Fergy was replaced by Vince Ferragamo (Quit Laughing!?) All Vincent did was lead his previous team from the trash heap to a home Super Bowl and nearly held off the Team of the Decade to win! So, was Fergy a “franchise QB”??

If I had any suspicion you are the end all authority on these matters, I might not laugh at this take. But I don’t. ??? -

Whoa Easy, Cowboy. Easy! I didn’t assume anything about anyone -well, maybe you..now. My point of reference would be old teams like the Raiders and any team Deon Sanders played with. But Every team practices lateral drills. Last ditch kick return, hook & lateral catches, etc. Knox (thanks for the correction) wasn’t anticipating it. But I’m sure he will from now on. That’s all. -

With way more than 100 posts per month, it’s clearly evident you’re on a quest to capture the All-time Most Noob Posts in the 1st Year Award ?. Unfortunately for the rest of us, it’s always at the cost of quality content. It had its time in our formative years as we got our legs under us, but the quest has gone the way of Confederate General statues. Here’s a tip, Less is More. -

Ha!? Then you’re gonna HATE the next dozen years or so. FAR from “totally stupid”, League history has tons of highlights where laterals have turned into TDs and 3X that where the ball was advanced further upfield. Sure, it can backfire. Somebody is going to get the ball. There’s no stats to verify/discount your perspective but per the eye test, teams notorious for being willing to lateral the ball to teammates are predisposed to expect it. Edit, had it worked, the 2X3 poster would be hanging on your living room wall -

I’m half hoping/half expecting that Devin and EVERY Buffalo Bill have this play indelibly etched in their collective mind that Allen IS ‘that guy’ who wants the ball with the game on the line -as Brandon Beane exclaims. 8 game winning drives in less than 2 seasons reinforces this as the rule vs the exception. Lose focus at your peril when on the field with Josh and the game is on the line. -

I realize this play has become the mantra for the anti-Josh gang, but consider for a moment that Singletary was mentally sharper in the half second he was unexpectedly given a glorious opportunity to advance the ball in an overtime playoff game, already in enemy territory. He doesn’t possess blazing speed, but there was NO ONE in front of him. He either scores or Hauschka comes on for an easy 3. Either way, if the rookie secures Allen’s intentional lateral, we’re playing in KC the following week. -
You should have stopped here.

Yes on both counts. I’m with the masses that he was overrated for all the penalties and poor teams he played on. Seemed like most of the PB Selections were an empathy thing from the League. ‘Well, they sucked again, but we should put 1 player in from them...’

Quarterback sneaks and Josh Allen stats
Chandler#81 replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
?shhhhhhh! We’re saving it for the Super Bowl! we had a play similar to this, back in the day. Set up the Defense with a couple QB sneaks, then, near the goal line our QB would close his hands under Center and drive forward on the snap. But our Center fired the ball through his and the QBs legs to a RB lined up behind the QB who took the snap & threw to a wide open, uncovered WR as his cover man raced in to help stop the ‘sneak’.
