  1. 30th pick is basically a second rounder. The caliber of player you get here is a boom or bust guy (expected edge players at this pick) or you are into the 2nd tier guys (CBs) with some warts. I'm ok with an RB here in relation to our draft position and in relation to our roster. A small trade up wouldn't hurt that much either. Now if we didn't have a deep roster, I would be a bit more hesitant.
  2. Nope and the board would melt down saying he isn't a team player and should be traded. Edge guys aren't needed when the qb gets rid of the ball in under 2 seconds etc...
  3. It's a possibility, but to go up to 22 or 23 and then hope your guys falls, still a lot of picks have to happen for that to work.
  4. Nice post TB had a nice game plan against them, but KCs OL was missing its 2 starting OTs and their interior was banged up as well. KCs DBs were allowed to hold and mug us in the AFCCG whereas in the SB it was called. That was the biggest impact on our offense and we did not have a running game or a reliable RB underneath the pull the Chiefs out of their defensive strategy...
  5. I'm certain they know who they are taking and they did as soon as they made the trade. You don't give up all they did if they were not sure between 1 or 2 players. They know who is going 1 and 2 and their guy will be there at 3
  6. 49ers trading #12 a 2022 3rd, a 2022 1st and 2023 first to move to #3 changed to value for moving up this year to be very prohibitive for everyone
  7. My thought all along was beane is 100 times more likely to move up instead of back. There is no way to know right now as to who it is or the position until the bodies start to fall. I assume there are a few players he will move up for if they fall, CB, Edge, DL, WR. Etienne makes sense to have in the mix as well. Staying at 30 equals OL or CB to me... Curious to see how it plays out...tick tock
  8. And they held and mugged our wrs, our rbs were not enough of a threat to change the defensive strategy against, Etienne does change that (he can catch as well as run)
  9. I was looking at Etienne upfront when I first started looking at the draft. Once we got through FA and looked at player rankings, holes on the team, some tape I came back to CB and edge being bigger needs... Right now, at this exact moment, all I can think of is Singletary dropping that wide open pass...
  10. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2021/04/todd-mcshay-bills-trying-to-trade-up-for-travis-etienne-in-round-1-of-2021-nfl-draft.html “I’m for taking the best player,” Beane told Schein. “And there are running backs in this league now currently in the NFL... I’ve talked about it in another interview. Christian McCaffrey, if he were in this draft--that was my last draft in Carolina--I would take him in the first round. I’d take Alvin Kamara, Dalvin Cook. There are guys that are multi-dimensional. They’re not just first and second down bruiser backs, but they can bring a lot to your offense. Christian McCaffrey, Kamara, those guys can go line up and play slot receiver for you in this league. They’re that good. This is a passing league. A homerun hitter or a vertical threat. We don’t have a guy that has that dimension so that’s another element. You have to look at that. Those are first round talents.”
  11. No one knew Allen or any other pick of ours; they are air tight there.. Now has a team told someone we called, it's possible, but would they know who we want? Not a chance in hell. It feels like somewhere along the chain someone attached Etienne's name
  12. F it, I'm here, got tied up at work and needed another hour... Eric Stokes CB is the Lions pick FYI, We need CB OT 1T LB and safety.
  13. Wohoa Wohoa! This is a pg13 family site, no need for guys to post pics of their "boards" on here. CONGRATS @BringBackFergy your significant other must be very happy!
  14. Here's a hot take, I really would look at drafting 2 CBs early and a big fat 1T and be happy with the draft Edge guys are meh this year and I would rather not swing an miss. Aj will give us a little bit and I'm hoping Star springs Oliver free and the in turn helps Hughes. I think better coverage will help the pass rush as well. Side note: I want a disruptive Edge guy more than anything, just not getting in this year in the draft...
  15. I think the corners are okay after the top 4, I'm just looking at zone as a base since that is what we play. Good Man to Man guys are scooped up way to fast. I find a bit better value here than at Edge, which I just don't like much at all (besides Phillips who is medically off my board), I do kinda like Paye, but he won't fall down low enough for us . I agree it's a nice OT class and there is some real good value where we pick, it's almost a shame we don't have that as a need, but I would not be surprised if Beane goes there RD1, can never have enough. The talent and value there may be too good to pass up.
  16. Great post! He sure was and that is why I'm zeroed in on a cb or 2 right now. The pass rush up front can be neutralized with a quick passing attack, so coverage is even more important. It's our biggest need.
