  1. Oh I like Phillips and yes he will be gone.
  2. I do like Phillips FWIW, but neither help me this year. Epenesa will have a bigger impact than an Edge 30. I'm not sure if Beane sits back or moves up, but my money is on CB
  3. So I'm the winner of the draft with my picks?
  4. @Virgil The Green Bay Packers select Eric Stokes. You all watched the NFC championship game, we need a CB and the value cannot be passed up here (although a WR is also on our list)... @HappyDays is on the clock
  5. I'm a big innocent until proven guilty type person. I get we live in a very litigious society and some are looking for handouts, but the evidence, especially this piece, is quite damning. This is psychopathic and he has a serious problem.
  6. When I said fall in love with a player or position, I wasn't singling you out; I was just speaking generally for the same reason you gave above. There is a tendency on this board to gravitate towards that and my comment was based on that premise.
  7. You hit the nail on the head in regards to my post and you brought up a great point regarding versatility, they do love players who can play in multiple positions. What I do think factors in, how much during a game and how many games throughout the season would you prefer to be in big nickel vs normal. That usage has to be factored in. I know they feel the expect a good level of contribution in year 1 from the player in Rd1. Ford was chosen at 38 and given every opportunity to start and play and be on the field as much as possible. Whereas Epenesa was taken at 54 and allowed to be brought on slowly. My comment has nothing to do with the player in particular btw. It is simply will he be on the field enough consistently as our RD1 pick to justify that positional pick in this round?
  8. He was the 1st WR off the board... I agree👍
  9. JOK is s nice player, my question is what % snaps will he play game in game on our defense? While we may like the strong nickel guy, is this investment for someone who will only be needed for a game or 2 to stop an elite TE (there are like 4 in the NFL) with it at the expense of a player who will play a higher % of snaps and can be used against multiple teams? There are a greater % of good to great and elite WRs vs TEs for instance.... Just a question/ thought to not fall in love with a position that won't be used a ton
  10. I'm having a hard time with Toney, part of me loves him another part says risky... I agree with your assessment
  11. Oh I wasn't implying you were. I just wanted to toss out to the forum that I considered him and he could be a fit there. THE Packers did nothing in the draft last year to help Rodgers, hence my comment they need a player who has less of a bust chance.
  12. Toney is interesting, I think he could be great for GB, but he seems a little to busty for my likes for a team that needs to not miss
  13. I'm reaching a lil based in need, CBS are a bit picked through, and I like the TE. Just don't expect much out of the TE for a few seasons
  14. With the 29th pick in the draft The Green Bay Packers select Christian Barmore iDL, Alabama Paired with Kenny Clark and the Smith's we will have a penetrating front 4 with strong pressure up the middle. While we still need help at WR and CB, the depth at the part of the draft and the players on our board, Barmore stands out.
  15. I agree completely as well. I do think Hughes will be back, but Edge is a glaring need, which is why I was hoping in FA or via trade.
  16. I just don't see edge making a big enough impact at 30, if a guy they really like starts falling Beane will make a move. All of these picks won't make our roster. Beane loves to fill all the holes in FA prior to the draft to go after true BPA as much as possible, this position still has not been addressed. I agree BPA, but Beane will maneuver up (more likely than down) to grab the player within the positional group that the "team as a whole" places value on vs the talent gap between the A players and the B players We will definitely be in the B range of Edge guys and A RBs. If an A corner can be grabbed in the latter half of RD1, you can take it to the bank.
  17. I like Etienne out of the backfield, but CB is the correct pick here IMO. I want Edge more than anything, but not this late in RD1. RBs will not help us score that many more points and the touches they get in our pass heavy offense isn't enough bang for the buck at this point. CB2 is our big weakness and should help get the D off the field sooner and limiting points against us.
