  1. I got it I think: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2020/8/27/21403793/buffalo-bills-full-contract-details-dion-dawkins-numbers-show-its-not-a-prove-it-deal-salary-cap The most interesting piece for me was the 2021 option bonus of $7.5 million. It’s a salary cap maneuver and is not a typical straight roster bonus. Instead, it’s an option for the Bills to completely re-write the deal and use the $7.5 as a new signing bonus, spreading out the cap hit over the remaining years of the deal. With the salary cap expected to be artificially low in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this saves the Bills valuable space next year. It also makes it pretty darn likely Dawkins will see every dime of the contract. Tre https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2020/9/14/21436517/tredavious-white-contract-details-outstanding-deal-for-the-buffalo-bills-cornerback Like Dion Dawkins, the Bills used a 2021 fully guaranteed option bonus to spread out the cap hit of the new deal over the course of six years and not overload the 2021 cap, which is supposed to be artificially lowered due to COVID-19. They also didn’t include any workout, playing time, or Pro Bowl bonuses until 2022
  2. I didn't look this far into it and figured that this was not part of the cap space yet. If not, exercised we would be what ~$6 million over the cap?
  3. I am actually thinking what is left of the $15 million is the $9m in space, which does not include Sanders. For arguments sake if Sanders is a straight $6 we have $3 left and that's it. Why do you think the $15 isn't there?
  4. I know why you were replying LOL. Only real difference was the pass rush was way better. McD has been saying for years, he wants pressure with the front 4; returning the same DL that was bad with pressure last year (add Star, but he is not an Aaron Donald or Ted Washington whose absence would destroy the DL pressure) Beane & McD - the poor rushing wasn't all on the RBs, the Line wasn't great, we bring back the same Oline Beane - we are not a SB team Kim - 2020 is the floor This is basically the same team as last year = not good enough
  5. I think they have put it in the Cap figure and just exercised the options. I'm not sure what the figures were they were showing before; I am assuming it is the base plus the 7.5m originally. What it shows now is the exercised figures...Right?
  6. I think Spotrac exercised it, now that I look at Dawkins: They are showing a 7.5 m option and his base is at 7.3M Same is true for Tre... So perhaps, we are already using this space...
  7. My point was before we can make any moves, we have to have enough space to do it - here is $15 million Today is the 1st day to exercise these options, they may have already done it for all we know
  8. As Andrew Brandt tweeted earlier today, NFL will not approve transactions if you don't have the cap space, so we need to do all of this stuff (extend Hughes a year or 2 to drop the hit, add 2 yrs $40 m to Diggs etc) before we can make moves... This all better be happening. I think we may be able to restructure on top of this...
  9. So he doesn't haven't to play for NYG? The 1 year if high enough might be a better option compared to what NYG offered
