I guess the hype led me to believe that he was going to wear a cape and mow down lineman with his steely gaze, and what I saw was a guy who is smaller than a lot of safetys in the NFL getting manhandled by other college players, who was neither fast enough to chase plays down from behind, strong enough to shed blocks, or smart enough to be in the right position to effect a play. Also, it didn't appear to me that Saban planned around him.

Not hating really, just watching him play against the sort of O-lineman that he's going to see in the NFL and he was invisible. There are a ton of players that are exceptional in college but middling in the pros. I think people fell in love with this guy because Notre Dame and all of our sepia toned overdriven nostalgic memories of days gone by, plus he has a funny name. If he was Brian Jones playing for Rutgers with the same stats, he'd be at best a 2nd round pick

The best predictor of the future is the past; with the 12th pick of the 2013 draft, the Buffalo Bills select the 2nd highest rated CB, an undersized SEC corner who played on an awesome defense and is completely inadequate when surrounded by low-motivation middling talent and piss poor coaching.

I hate to admit this on a Bills board (which I've been lurking on for a LONG time) but instead of putting myself through the game today, I took my kids to see Wreck it Ralph. I'm an Alabama fan and watched them pull out a win in dramatic fashion last night, and just knew that today the Bills had zero chance, and given that they had zero chance, would turn in a commensurate effort. They're just going through the motions, and the coaches are pants-on-head retarded. They aren't working to gain your loyalty, I've finally come to the point of saying, back at ya guys.

They were good for the most part last year, with some flashes of dominance, but this is a whole different level. Cordy may well be the key? I'm psyched, after very nearly writing them off last week.

I would. I love Freddy, but I'm an Alabama fan and have watched Richardson the last few years. I think he's going to be something special in the NFL. There were a couple games this year where he carried the Tide entirely on his back. He's the kind of player that makes the whole team better. Besides, the more Crimson Tide players, the better!
