    When the 49ers were healthy a few years ago, they were fun to watch. The Rams are a really well-coached team. The Lions play harder than anyone and take hella risks. And the Baker Bucs are the best show in the NFL this year. But yeah, these two teams playing tonight are boring.

    The "author" has nothing to do with this. He just compiled data and quotes. This article is a ranking based on votes by NFL GMs, HCs, and executives. They couldn't vote for their own team. Brandon Beane has a lot of respect around the league for how he goes about his business, and that is reflected here.

    That would mean taking unreasonable risks on things like 3-25 in your own end. Sometimes a punt is not the worst result.

    Interesting fact that I just learned. Back in the EARLY days, American football used to be 3-downs to get 5 yards. They didn't add the 4th down until they changed it to 10 yards. The Canadians kept it at 3 downs when they switched to 10 yards in order to force offenses to take more risks.

    I'm sure they did focus testing and/or surveys to determine why the NFL gets double the TV ratings of the CFL in Canada. Hence the changes.
