I really didn't want to get into this one, but you guys got me looking through college game stats and I don't even really like college football. 2017 Bedlam game in Stillwater. The Sooners beat the Cowboys by 10. Close game, but the score was 62-52. Baker Mayfield had almost 600 yards passing and 5 TDs. Rudolph had almost 500 yards and also had 5 TDs. In a couple of weeks, both of these studs will be backups at the NFL level. This is why college stats are meaningless and why I'm a firm proponent of Beane's approach of drafting for attributes rather than college performance.

If Minkah Fitzpatrick and/or Cam Hayward don't play in this game, you can throw "any given Sunday" out the window.

So I guess they were waiting for Zimmer's knee to heal before bringing him back on board. That makes sense.
-
Good point. We see so often with athletes who have non-contact knee injuries that it's the mental confidence that is the last to come back.

This thread is about to be comes super toxic, what with the age and demographics of the majority of TSW posters. -

He had neck and back problems. Anyone that has a bad back knows that it never completely heals. -
He played well. I don't know why they released him and picked up Zimmer.

The reason that I hate Brady is all jealously. He's the best QB ever and looks like a male model. He married a super model after dumping an actress. If you're that good at football, you should have to look like Andrew Luck or a Manning. -

Because people are in here having a heated argument about sample sizes and statistical significance. -
Anybody hear Josh raving about Singletary?

Breece Hall leads the league with 5 drops and he is still getting carries and targets. But then again, its the Jets. -
This is a message board. Nothing that is posted here has any effect on the outcomes of the game. The Bills players and coaches, on the other hand, are always careful not to disrespect an opponent before a game. No Jalen Ramsey or Tyreek Hill loudmouths on this team. That's what counts.

I swear to god, in 20 years Bills fans are going to be on their porch swings telling their grandkids about that one time the Bills lost to the Jags 9-6.
-
I wouldn't bet on the Bills in this game for this reason.

Bills once again tops in the league at 4th down decision making
Low Positive replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that with some people, every bad decision was made by McDermott and every good decision must have been made by someone else. -
More like the hangover of losing 2/5 of the starting OL.
-
Bills' fans will never get over that Jags game. We could win the SB, and someone will post "this would feel better if we hadn't lost to the Jags in 2021."

The ones in our game in LA were protesting the arrest of whistleblowers on animal conditions on factory farms. I just had to look it up so it was not a effective form of protest.

Tomlin’s trying to shut everybody up so they can draft another one next year?

The Bills won yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)

I bought a football jersey for the first time in my life. $200 spent. I took it off right before the TD drive in the second quarter. You’re welcome. -
NFL WEEK #4 - Bills at Ravens - Post Game Thread
Low Positive replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the number one thing was to not get the ball stripped or punched out and to not score the TD. They still had two chances to get that first. -
He admitted it. He said something to the effect of "that's what alpha males do."

We don't have the mentality to win close games
Low Positive replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
What's amazing is that in 85 games coached, the Bills have only been down by 10 at HT in 14 of them. And that's counting games in 2017 and 2018 where we had very little talent on the field. I think that McDermott gets a lot out of his players. -
We don't have the mentality to win close games

And just the tone of this board today pisses me off. Everyone all weeks harps on how we can't win the close one. We go out and win a close game in terrible conditions and everyone wonders what's wrong with the offense because we didn't win in a blowout. The Bills are apparently not "championship caliber" like the almighty Chiefs, who have had the exact same start to the season as the Bills (2 blow outs and 2 close games with one road loss). This is supposed to be victory Monday, and its all doom and gloom. I guess its BBFS, but get over it people. The Bills are really good. Enjoy it!
