  1. Look, was deserving his call to the pro bowl? maybe not. Was he horrible this year like many wants us to believe? hardly. Guys like Jake Long and Ryan Clady had great years and either of the two could have replaced him. Are these two known comodities yet? certainly not, maybe if they keep playing like they did this year and Jason has another year (not as dominant as 2007) like he had they could go. At one point Jake Long was leading the fan polls of who should have went to the pro bowl, so maybe the coaches and peers helped Jason to be where he is right now. We all saw and know what Peters is capable of doing and we most certainly know that one day he was going to get paid, hopefully by us. did it helped this selection to keep him on the cheap? obviously not but it's way better to pay this freak of nature than to overpaid a lesser talent (think John Fina) to protect your QB.
  2. Yep, it was Johnson. Somehow they missed it, but I'm not suprised.
  3. That's the spirit
  4. Agree, if we run the ball but don't convert, we're conservative or afraid to go to jugular. Once we do it but don't execute a damn simple play they're crazy. I'm in no way defending this coaching staff, because they deserve to go away, with the exception of April of course, but sometimes players have to be held accountable.
  5. Then don't start him, put Hamdan in, or someone with half a brain.
  6. I have zero problems with the call, JayPee just have to throw it away if there is nothing there. But JayPee can't manage that, now, would he?
  7. I could see him landing on one of these teams: KC, Detroit, Carolina, Jacksonville, Minnesota or San Francisco, but not as a clear starter but to battle for the position.
  8. Great kick
  9. Great guy, great player, I'm happy for him.
  10. I know it will be hard for Wade to handle TO, but now he has a valid excuse to do so. This injury might be a blessing in disguisde for Wade.
  11. I won't say they will be better with Johnson but now they will have to run the ball more with Barber and Jones, they'll control the clock and the tempo of the game with the occasional pass to TO and Witten. Egos will take a back seat and they'll do what they were supposed to do from the beginning, feature Barber as the workhorse.
  12. His knee never touched the ground. He should have protected the ball, he sucks.
  13. They are doubling and chipping Schobel every single snap.
  14. First 3rd down stop of the game for the Bills.
  15. It makes you respect the bomb but not the entire passing game. Hopefully Losman can hit the intermediate passes today.
  16. About the OL and the running game, I think they try to finesse to much. I saw both tackles not being quick enough to lead Marshawn and Jackson when they pulled. Take for example the Marshawn TD against the Raiders, the entire OL fired up-field for an easy TD. We have one of the biggest OL in the NFL, I think we would be much better off starting games with a more straight running style, leave the pulling and the finesse type running late in the game where the opposing defense is more tired to fill the gaps. But I agree with you, we should target OL in the next draft, early and often.
  17. So that they would kick in McGee's direction and not him?
  18. Thanks for the link Beerball. IMO, he's doing the right thing. He must be eager to play again but his health and family are more important. Good luck Peerless.
  19. Great, now it would be great if he's in good football shape.
  20. He was sack once but that's because Lynch had to block Kerney on one play. I don't know if it was designed but Chambers went with the guy insisde leaving Lynch one-on-one with Kerney.
  21. http://xssports.rack111.com/billsvssteelers/ You're looking for something like this but from last night game. I can't find it. Maybe they didn't make the url this time.
  22. I think Denney is a more complete player than Kelsay. Neither of the two are great but the two combined make a solid rotation at LDE. Watching the Bills yearbook on ESPN, they showed a huddle of players before the game and to my surprise the guy giving the rah-rah speech was Kelsay. I couldn't tell if it was the defensive unit he was addressing or the entire team, but it was him. I thought Whitner was in "charge" of that. Apparently the coaching staff see him as a leader.
  23. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=69712 UB2SF makes a great point in his thread.
  24. That is my guess too. They were expecting ineptitude but they found a totally different thing. But the Steelers weren't the only ones fooled, the Bills fooled me/us too. (in a wonderful way).
