  1. It's a shame these folks aren't paid by the post.
  2. We should but the best way to make government more responsible is to reduce funding (across the board) and force the government down to the department level to hack off the fat.
  3. For those that have poo-pooed and ignored my posts about temperature and air pressure. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/2015/01/21/how-the-patriots-could-have-cheated-without-letting-air-out-the-ball/Eocm5m29nIlh0HRBjFWsYO/story.html This will be the answer in the final analysis.
  4. What's that got to do with eminent domain? Nobody here wants zero government, but many believe in the strict limits of the government as defined in our constitution.
  5. As I posted in the other thread, if you want to play with a 10.5PSI ball on a cold day and also follow the rules, simply inflate the balls to 12.5PSI in a very warm room, have the refs inspect the balls and when the balls go outside in 30 degrees, you'll have yourself softer footballs after the air temp drop in the balls. That doesn't break any rule. Smart on their part if they did that and if that it what they wanted. I'll bet other teams do it too. A high school kid could figure this out. The NFL needs to change the rule or simply allow teams to uses balls inflated to whatever pressure they want outside of the kicking game.
  6. Might be a bit easier to grip a slightly softer ball.
  7. Agree. Now if I wanted to use footballs inflated to under the 12.5PSI minimum, I'd simply inflate them pre-game to 12.5PSI indoors in a nice warm 75 degree room and when they sat outside for an hour or so in the 30 degree outdoor temps, I'd have a nice 10 PSI or so inflated ball and I haven't broken any rule.
  8. I'm with you. What's the over/under on the number of times Boehner and McConnell stand and applaud the President (excluding when he enters and leaves the room)?.
  9. Wrong, and that $4 mil is about $2 mil in his pocket. Taxes eat the rest. Still a good chunk of dough though.
  10. Yes, and tonight we can expect to hear how government has made our lives better and how it can make our lives better still.
  11. I think Thurman just found out that the Pegula's bought the Bills for a mere 1.4b.
  12. Running backs are a dime a dozen.
  13. Obama never wanted the whole job of being President. Anything outside of legislating "fairness" isn't in the job description as he sees it.
  14. Packers will get thumped and NE will probably get to another Superbowl.
  15. Actually Rush's Low Information Voter Mantra is pretty spot on.
  16. Certainly anyone that even mentions Cutler is joking and only putting it here to rile up the rest of us.
  17. Yeah but on what team once he becomes a free agent?
  18. Yes, but Christians and Christian leaders publicly and loudly denounced that behavior and mindset. Muslims and Muslim leaders are nearly silent on the matter which is either due to fear or a show of support or both.
  19. The continued mentioning of Cutler as a possible good choice for the Bills is amusing.
  20. That and many people go to the ER now for the slightest boo boo.
  21. Marrone has an abrasive Brooklyn personality and his exit looked very consistent with that.
  22. Why does someone his age continue to stay in office? Doesn't he have something better to do with his remaining somewhat healthy years? Apparently not.
  23. I don't know. I listen to Whaley and he comes across as a lightweight to me. Although the football industry does not always attract the brightest minds IMO.
