  1. It's going to be a lot of fun watching the Dem primary season if Bernie continues to pick up the majority of votes in some states yet Hillary gets more delegates. A lot of fun.
  2. and I oppose paying for someone to attend school for 10 years and then quit without finishing only to continue paying for them to do nothing for the next 60 years. Home schooling is fine by me.
  3. In some areas the percentage that quit high school is much greater than 20% especially among males. To me that begs the question: Why do we allow people to quit high school? It's not like 100 years ago when so many quit to work on the family farm. To me we should not allow kids to quit except for special and rare circumstances. As for the unworthy (but otherwise able-bodied and minded), many have put themselves there through a many year pattern of bad decisions. We have to find a way to reduce these folks and most of the solution IMO has to come from the individuals themselves and with limited help from taxpayers. Part of the answer to me has to be a social worker looking them in the eye and saying the government is not going to support you long term so you better figure it out.
  4. Poverty is usually a choice but the left is not brave enough to say that.
  5. I hate to say it but it is us. If the collective "we" had more on the ball, Obama would never have been re-elected, Hillary would be polling single digits, Bernie would not even be running, Trump would not be leading and several more capable people (who have never run) would be candidates because voters would have a history of rejecting the liars, windbags, the incompetent and anyone that is far left.
  6. You could be right. Hillary, much like a female applying to an engineering school, should be given preference. Sorry Bernie but white males have to wait their turn.
  7. The border patrol is a de facto immigrant processing operation. It provides a fast track for people that want to enter our country and not endure the red tape of the visa system.
  8. Let's hope that when we don't have a kitty President, Iran does take a shot at us.
  9. Family wishes quite possible.
  10. You plick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSZLlg6ZAYI
  11. The process should play out. Barry can make a nomination and the Senate can make an evaluation. My guess is that Barry will nominate an African American with a very liberal history of judgements just so the senate can reject that person and the Dems can play the race card during this election season.
  12. Any nation with aggressive military goals sees that Obama won't do **** about anything so now is the time to acquire/develop/expand weapons and territory.
  13. I took a nap because Beyonce does nothing for me and never has. Glad I missed it.
  14. It is time for Trump to fade into irrelevancy.
  15. These moves will, as the Washington Post notes, provide further fodder for the Sanders campaign. Anyone surprised ? ? . Cut her some slack. It costs a lot of money to win a Presidential campaign.
  16. Let's hope her campaign ends like his as well.
  17. Obama has the opportunity to nominate someone who will make strict constitutional legal judgements and if he does so he should have no problem getting that person confirmed. If he wants more justices like the 2 he has already appointed, then he'll be in for a long fight and justifiably so.
  18. Middle East is a !@#$ing mess and mostly not worth our efforts to save IMO.
  19. Don't know if this thought has been posted, but my worst nightmare is Obama appointing Holder during recess.
  20. If Trump is elected, he'll declare more federal disasters than all other presidents combined.
  21. Good chance I would have voted for Christie in the primary.
  22. Medicare is underfunded given how medicine is practiced in this country. I believe that if people want it as it is, then they (not employers and not the rich) should pay more into the system. Show me a politician particularly on the left that is brave enough to show people the real numbers and ask that all taxpayers pay their equal fair share.
  23. There have been reports in recent years showing the sheer number of stories published by the major TV news outlets and which direction they lean. The numbers show very clear left bias. Maybe I'll dig a couple of those up over the weekend and post.
  24. Trump won't be the nominee, take that to the bank. To answer your question I believe the country is moving left and has been for a long time. Mostly because the majority of voters don't pay close attention to politics or what their governments are doing (or not doing) and they only know what they get occasionally from the very left leaning media. However, the recent election of more Republican Governors might suggest otherwise.
