Better if space aliens took them all away.

Job alone not enough. A stable climate is also necessary.

I think Trump ought to buy the seats. Would make for an interesting evening.

1. Because she sucks 2. Because most voters have no clue that she was endorsed and don't recognize the people that endorsed her.

The GOP Congress should pass a “bailout” law that mostly just lets states get out from under pension obligations, setting off more blue-on-blue action. And if Obama vetoes it, that’s okay too. “We tried!” Are you suggesting a bankruptcy of sorts for state pensions? In Illinois the Republican Governor elect is trying to recast pension plans on a going forward basis which would preserve the pensions for those that have paid in and create more sensible and affordable pension plans for newer state workers. He is being stonewalled by dems at every turn. The pensions for the city of Chicago workers are mostly separately funded from state employee plans so the city is in a huge jam to fund their plans and the Republican Governor being stonewalled by the Dem friends of Rahm is in no mood for the state to bailout the city. Rahm is in a terrible position as the city has very limited options to close the gap financially and the math is going to force him to make big changes unless some unexpected bailout happens. Even a going forward fix won't solve the huge deficit of obligations. He's probably praying hard for Hillary to win in November so he can take his case to her somehow.

It'll be interesting to see how Pakistan reacts to this.

Agree. It goes way beyond personality. She really doesn't have a single positive trait as a candidate when you consider accomplishments, her priorities for America or her position on the big issues.

What kind of people (referring to the Castro bros.) given the luxury in which they have lived for so long would continue to run the country in the matter in which they do? How can they not wake up one day and realize that the free world is leaving them and their people behind? What have they got to gain at this point keeping things as they are? Even if you are right that their country is a bit more open, they are on a pace which puts them further behind the rest of the world every year. Baby steps will do nothing.

Bottom line...... The Middle East is exceptionally !@#$ed up.

The only feelings or opinions many voters have about candidates are personality based. That's the basis on which many who don't have a strong party affiliation or are informed on the issues will vote. Clinton, like Trump, turns off a lot of voters with her personality.

No earthly discipline.

Obama does not believe in prosecuting them for war crimes and since the public and Republicans on the hill were in an uproar over the plan to try them in US civilian courts, he had no choice but to leave them there and/or release them. Once again he was obstructed from doing what a man of his level of intelligence would do by people of lesser intellect and people playing politics.

She is a bitter and ugly (inside and out) human being. Wretched.

It still goes back to voters. The vast vast majority don't really understand who makes up their government, what the government is doing (or not doing) and what they want from their government and whether or not what they want is even sound. Trump gave a lot of voters a reason to support him early on. He raised real issues, expressed the outrage that more should express over government incompetence and garnered the spotlight because the media gave it to him. At the same time on the Repub side there was more of a sameness among more than a dozen other candidates and some of that sameness was their steadier campaign style. At this point I'll settle for almost any Republican that can get elected as my preferred candidates are not running any longer and Cruz has shown me too many "politician" characteristics recently. Kasich is growing on me in recent weeks. If Trump fails to get 1237 delegates, I say it's wide open as the voters did not make a clear choice. Let the delegates decide from whoever they want at that point. This election should be a slam dunk for Republicans given Obama's terrible presidency and Hillary's negatives. If she win this will go down as one of the larger political failures or our time just as 2012 did. Romney should have destroyed Obama. Voters suck.

Any chance that Islam might benefit from a refresh with updates including respect for the separation of church and state, tolerance of other religions and views on women?

What exactly is filling his plate right now? His determination to get our debt and budgets under control? His big effort to secure our borders? His economic growth, tax and policy revisions? Designing a better solution to the nation's health insurance to replace Obamacare?

He lacks self awareness and is incapable of feeling shame.

Without big changes in Cuba, things will not get better for the Cuban people. I don't think Obama breaking silence with Cuba is a bad thing. I just think he should have asked for more in return before re-opening relations.
-
Except that Cubans cannot readily start a business or buy imported goods without their government very stubbornly approving. Did Obama happen to throw out the first pitch yesterday? Anyone have film of that? Just wondering if he's improved his delivery.

I thought the Jihadists needed jobs and a more stable climate in order to put down their swords.

Why has George Soros given John Kasich $700,000?
keepthefaith replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I once worked for a startup partially funded by Soros Capital. If I only knew then what I know now. Could have had some fun at a couple of board meetings with one of his schmucks. -
W left the school almost immediately and was flying around in AF1 for security reasons and was on the phone with advisors. Obama won't react strongly because that would send a signal to Americans that he sees ISIS as a big problem and an adversary.
