    The Saints game finished any hope I had for trent. 4th and 18 or 22 or whatever it was, and he threw a checkdown to Jackson. 4th and VERY LONG and he still threw a checkdown. That tells you where his head and his heart are at.

    Winning with Dick Jauron is like having an old sick dog. Deep in your heart, you know the right thing is to have him put down, but every once in a while, that old mutt with his cataracts and bad hip will go chase a ball.....and it's just enough to tug at your heart and make you wonder if its the right thing to do.

    I don't think this is a major loss. McKelvin does not seem like a heady player. Yes the fumble was dumb, but he constantly gets abused with double moves and plays very loose coverage in general. I know its only his second season, but the guy plays like a dim bulb.

    The few times Trent went playaction, it was embarrassing. Brees, Manning, they actually sell the run. Trent's ball fakes yesterday were lazy, and not even close to looking like a possibility of a handoff. It's little things like that that make me question whether Edwards really has "it"

    That sucks about Whitner, I really was actually starting to like his game and how he was being moved all over the field. I think i have seen enough of McKelvin for a while though, and really liked Florence's game yesterday.

    The Problem is, Trent gets such happy feet, that the receivers haven't even come out of their breaks or created separation yet and the ball is out to a tight end or a back. Edwards does not let the play develop before he is settling for 4 yards.

    He got steamrolled by one of the Buccaneers on one of the returns, but when he got flattened, the Buc tripped over him. Wendling is a football player, you can't teach that.

    I bet if he had AVP, he probably would have had no pocket presence, held onto the ball too long, and generally looked like a deer in the headlights. I'm not sure he would have quoted Yoda though.

    You raise some good points. Some fans are just lame i guess. I tried to get a Wendling chant going last week and that just never really took off either. Another thing, I always wondered why they don't ring a bell after a big pass play to let Demetrius Bell know he did a good job. He is young and needs all the reassurance he can get. The Bills just don't get it.
