[closed]Safety - not seeing it early
Max997 replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do you think it's likely Aaron Williams will be competing with Searcy for the SS spot when we haven't heard a thing about him switching from the Bills? And wouldn't he be more of a FS then a SS if he did switch? This team is infatuated with defensive backs and loves taking them early so I wouldnt be surprised to see them do it again -
The point is the Bills have more holes then picks to fill them

Not all drafts are "good" - 2009
Max997 replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this supposed to make us feel better? Maybin was the last player I wanted the Bills to take that year just like Jarvis Jones is this year As much as I prefer not to take players from Texas, Orakpo was clearly better option but Bills took Maybin mainly bc they needed a DE and for some reason thought he was one -

Geno Smith to Oakland Cordarrelle Paterson to Minnesota Tyler Eifort to Pitt Luke Joeckel to Chiefs Dion Jordan to Jax Thanks -
I got concerned reading some of these posts that the show ended but it has in fact been renewed for a 5th season It's a great show with great characters

Kolb has a much better arm then Fitz and doesn't have to jerk his entire body just to throw it 10 yards Kolb just hasn't been able to stay healthy There is a lot more to comparing players then just their stats as well

Jarvis Jones is the absolute last guy I want the Bills to take at 8...Id rather see them draft another CB then take Jones and Im tired of seeing them draft corners early

Eugene Cyril "Geno" Smith III - QB - West Virginia
Max997 replied to The Voice of Truth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I took this from the Philadelphia Daily News which Mayock contributes to before the draft I'm not his biggest fan but a lot of people on here like him and I didnt see this posted anywhere. He also listed a Riser and Sleeper. I like Bray in the second but dont think he will be there when the Bills pick because I see a run on QBs at the bottom on the first through the top of the second QUARTERBACKS THE BEST Geno Smith, West Virginia (6-2, 218) 40-time: 4.59 Hands: 9 1/4 inches Round Projection: 1 Mayock: "He has all of the components of a franchise quarterback, but is not consistent enough on tape for me. He doesn’t have very good pocket awareness. He had something like 32 fumbles at West Virginia. "He has no awareness of the rush surrounding him. I don’t sense a feel in the pocket to slide and move at all. I don’t sense an internal clock when he’s standing inside his own five-yard line. Common sense things I’d love to see and don’t. "His deep-ball accuracy is erratic. I mean really erratic. Guys wide open (that he missed). Six to eight touchdowns that he threw away this year. He played horribly in the Bowl game in the snow (Pinstripe Bowl) and he also played poorly in the cold and wind at Iowa State. I’m not sure what that means other than it disturbs me. For me, there’s a bunch of different red flags, and it doesn’t add up to a top-10 quarterback. Or even top 20." THE RISER Tyler Bray, Tennessee (6-6, 232) 40-time: 5.05 Hands: 9 1/4 inches Round Projection: 2-3 Mayock: "I think people are starting to recognize his arm talent and are digging deeper into what kind of kid he is, which was the knock. He’s got big-time arm talent. There’s no way he’ll get out of the third round, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he went in the second." THE SLEEPER Sean Renfree, Duke (6-3, 219) 40-time: 4.76 Hands: 9 inches Round Projection: 5-6 Mayock: "He hurt his shoulder on the last snap of their bowl game and might not even get drafted. But he’s got the best anticipation and time of any quarterback in this draft. Part of it is because he’s got an average arm and has to. (Duke head coach) David Cutliffe told me that Sean approaches the game with a work ethic and passion similar to Peyton Manning’s." -
You really don't understand the salary cal era do you?

Seau brain was damaged (CTE), family sues NFL
Max997 replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seau played pee wee, high school and college football too correct? why isnt his family suing them as well blaming the NFL is a joke -
Did we read the same article? Seems to be hurt a lot but this is all anyone needs to read from it Negatives: Has short arms and average grip strength (student manager was fired for deflating balls). Does not snap it quickly and spiral is not tight. Heavy-footed and cannot improvise or create with his feet. Cannot easily manipulate his arm and throwing platform under duress and the ball dies when he can’t step into it. Does not drive the ball down the field with high RPMs.

What scares/inspires you the most about this upcoming season?
Max997 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really like the hiring of Marrone and feel like they finally made a good choice at head coach The Bills being the same old Bills just happy to be in the league -
I can't believe anyone would be in favor of using yet another first round pick on a CB
-
A TE would have to be pretty special to even be considered taking in the top ten Patterson is a playmaker that probably isn't as polished of a WR as AJ Green or Julio Jones were when they came out but would fill a big need for this team
-
WR is just as big of a need for this tem as LB is And realistically speaking Stevie isn't a real # 1 but would be a great compliment to a true top WR
-
Tavon Austin is 5'8" and 174 pounds so how does he fit nix's philosophy of needing a big WR? I am cautious about Patterson but there is no denying his size and playmaking ability which would be a nice addition to a team lacking both

Jarvis Jones is going to fall like a brick I see Baltimore taking a shot on him at 32

[closed]Kolb a Bill 2 years 13 mill max
Max997 replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This tells me his contract has a lot of incentives which can max out the deal at 13 mil if he starts I've said all along that I still think Kolb can play so I like this signing -
I like Patterson a lot but I have concerns about him and dobt think he is nearly as ready as you would like a top ten WR to be Manuel will not be there in the second round How is Pugh flying under the radar? I think the Bills are going to try and trade into the bottom of the first for one of the second tier QBs like Manuel, Glennon or Bray
