  1. As others have noted, I can't see them going out and spending the type of money it will take to get a guy whom plays the same position we spent the #9 overall pick on last year. I think their main goal is keeping this defense intact as best they can while adding a couple more role guys. If anything is the "big fish" in FA for them I believe it will be a CB to pair with Tre, say Bradley Roby or Chris Harris.
  2. AB going to the combine? https://www.tmz.com/2020/02/15/antonio-brown-nfl-combine-meeting-apology/
  3. Rudolph just responded:
  4. As far as the compensation goes I wouldn't give up anything higher than a day 3 pick. A 4th would be as high as I go, but I would package it with one of our 6th Round picks as well if need be. The ESPN writer's take is purely speculation of course and based off of how he thinks Njoku would benefit from a change of scenery. One mentioned OJ Howard as well, which is another guy I would give up the same pick compensation for.
  5. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28640475/32-nfl-players-use-fresh-start-offseason-qbs-injured-stars#CLE TE David Njoku He fell out of favor under the previous regime, as he was a regular healthy scratch down the stretch after returning from IR after a wrist injury. Had coach Freddie Kitchens and general manager John Dorsey been retained, Njoku almost certainly would have been out the door. Still, while Njoku would have a fresh start under a new coach and front office, it's clear he was also losing the trust of QB Baker Mayfield. That's why the 2017 first-round selection might be better off attempting to resuscitate his career elsewhere -- especially if the Browns can get something that can help them in return. -- Jake Trotter He was a super talented TE prospect coming out of Miami who has battled a couple injuries, but has flashed on the field at times. I'd see if we could swing one of our 5th or 6th round picks for him. It may or may not work, depending on if Cleveland is wanting to part ways and what they would want for compensation. It's another way to add a potential weapon for Josh in a relatively cheap manner though.
  6. It's a last ditch effort to shift the narrative and play off of something he knows the American public is susceptible to. Not to mention he comes out with it days after the fact because he realized the punishment that would likely come down. I believe Rudolph started it by trying to pull Garrett's helmet off while they were on the ground, but I don't buy the slur for a second.
  7. Dak's a quality QB, but not upper echelon. I have many friends that are Cowboys fans. The knock on him according to those friends is missing the open man on the intermediate to deep throws, especially in crunch time, and seemingly disappearing when the team needs him to throw them on his back. He's not a bad QB, but he's not a $35,000,000-$40,000,000 a year QB either.
  8. In a sit down interview with Mina Kimes he's still using the racial slur argument. I don't buy it. This is a guy trying to find a way to repair his image and justify his actions. https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/02/myles-garrett-mason-rudolph-called-him-a-stupid-n-word-he-tells-espn.html
  9. So he got paid and basically turned into a bum? Pass.
  10. Seeing the improvement from Allen, given they provided him with a few more resources on offense, is extremely encouraging. I want to see them get him a couple more REAL receiving targets in this draft and upgrade the OL again in FA. I still believe that Ford's best spot on the OL would be LG and I want to see us get a premium RT in FA like Conklin. If we do these things, as well as solidify the DE position, get a LB to replace Lorax, and some quality depth at CB? Yes, this team is going to make a run next year.
  11. Good then. I hope this ticks Allen off and adds to the chip he carries on his shoulder.
  12. So what he's really saying is...
  13. Did they mention any of the other QB's going into their 3rd year like Darnold, Mayfield, or Rosen?
  14. You shouldn't be. It's ESPN programming.
  15. CJ Moseley had the same injury as well and turned out just fine. https://tdalabamamag.com/2019/11/19/tua-tagovailoa-can-have-c-j-mosley-like-recovery-from-hip-injury/
  16. I guess this was about as good as they could do at this point. They waited too long to jettison Dantonio and screwed themselves in the process.
  17. This may be true, but at that time Revis was the best CB in the league. Stevie would have him out there on rollerskates whether he was getting the ball or not.
  18. Stevie was a good dude. Hope this aids in his happiness after the NFL. I used to love to watch him eat Revis alive every time we faced the Jets.
  19. I want us to get Conklin in FA, move Ford to LG, and there's your lineup. Dawkins-Ford-Morse-Feliciano-Conlkin Just realize that if we do that then Dawkins/his agent will be watching as we are going to have to re-sign him soon as well.
  20. Duke Williams is better than Funchess already and Funchess has hit his ceiling. Pass.
  21. Chase Claypool https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/02/06/deep-look-profile-buffalo-bills-draft-target-chase-claypool/
  22. I like Joe Burrow, and I think he will be a Franchise QB, but Miami has a heck of a lot of holes on that team. They basically need to rebuild the entire OL, need a long term answer at QB, the defense needs major work, and their RB depth chart is full of a bunch of PS players. At the same time Miami owns an insane 13 picks in this upcoming draft, with 6 of those in the first 3 rounds. They have a whopping three 1st Round picks, two 2nd's, and a 3rd. If any team could move up and still have plenty of picks left to maneuver then it's the Dolphins. Who knows what they will do? Who knows what Mike Brown actually wants? One thing I do believe is if they trade out of #1, passing on the homegrown Burrow, then that could be the final nail in the coffin for that franchise. The fans just won't show up or buy any merchandise.
  23. With the 49th pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select KJ Hamler, WR, Penn St. The Bears @section122 are on the clock Washington came on a bit this year, but even before the injury you could see JuJu struggling without AB. Hamler is a WR in who you will immediately have to take into account because of his speed alone if nothing else. When I see him I think a Desean Jackson clone. This will open up the field for JuJu again and hopefully Washington continues to grow during this time.
