When I first read this I thought it said, "Teams are going to sh*t on us and run more...." Had to do a double-take. No matter what they do, I think we could have a historically good defense this year if Tre comes back @ 100%. A 2015 Denver type of defense.

Bills sign Marquel Lee (backup/ST linebacker)

Those people: "We need a CB, RB, WR, and they're signing ST's players?!?!?!?!?" -
The most sacks the Bills have had as a team the last 20 years is 48 in 2013 under Mike Pettine. We had some quality players on that front. A young Jerry Hughes, Mario Williams, a young Kyle Williams, and Marcell Darius. Kiko, Bradham, and Lawson were the LB's. In the Secondary we had Jairus Byrd, McKelvin, Robey-Coleman, Gilmore, and Jim Leonhard. It was a stout unit. With all of the offseason additions we've made I know we'll easily surpass the 27 sacks as a team we had last season. Von will probably get us anywhere from 12-15 by himself and I know the rest of the team will surely pickup 13-16 more. Still, I think will have a lot more than that. I honestly see no less than 40 from this team. When I start thinking about who will be lining up, their style of play, how some have performed in this defense during a prior tour, and the Von Miller effect on the rest of the defense around him I find myself getting hype already. Do you think this team can exceed that total from 2013?

I think we keep Edmunds and draft a possible replacement in April to groom behind him this year. This is one of the things when you build a good team through the draft, it's impossible to keep and pay everyone. One thing about next year is that's when all the new TV $$$ will hit and the cap could go up by $20M. If Edmunds plays well then we'll re-sign him, probably before the new league year in 2023. If he doesn't we'll let him walk. That's the chance you take.

Star released. Pre-6/1 per Joe B, $1.5M cap savings.

Pretty sure they can navigate the cap and designate it a post June 1 cut. -

I'd imagine we know which one it will be. -

According to Ian Rapoport The Bills are “always the mystery team”
H2o replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said it in the Von Miller thread. The one thing about this regime that I find OUTSTANDING? Absolutely no leaks. There are rumors we're pursuing this person or that person heavily. Then 💥💥💥, we signed someone that no one else really had us linked to. It's the polar opposite of the regimes in charge before this one. -
Cap hit is kind of steep, but the cap don't mean to Beane at this point. Swing a 4th and get it done.

That division is going to take itself out of the race for the #1 seed.
-
Unless they hit on a couple of WR's in the draft, Rodgers is just collecting checks these next couple of years before hanging up the cleats.
-
They haven't lost anything really outside of Matthieu, but all the rest of the teams in the AFC have surely caught up. The AFC as a whole is absolutely STACKED.

Our defensive line is NEVER going to be tired with the rotation we'll have going on. We are going to EAT opposing QB's this year.
-
You look at what we've done on the interior of this defense. Jones the run stuffing 1-Tech, Settle has some pass rush juice and can play the 1-Tech or 3-Tech, and now we bring back Phillips who got a lot of pressure from the interior as well. Add Von Miller who will HAVE to be accounted for on every play? We are going to EAT opposing QB's this year.

Adios #11. Thanks for signing up to play with 1, 7. Catching passes on the regs, a first down connection....ok, that's all I got.
-
True. I think we like him, but wanted to squeeze one more cheap year out if we possibly could. Whether he is the long term answer or not? I have no idea. We only have a small sample size of him playing meaningful snaps, but he faired well imo all things considered. When I say "screwed" I don't mean it in the terms of we're doomed or anything, only we could lose a nice depth piece with starting potential. I don't think we pay any more for him that $3-3.5M per year. I have a feeling the Vikes will offer him a contract that the Bills will not match.
-
Now THIS is an interesting nugget. We might end up getting screwed.

That would be "Rob Ryan was right!"

After they have completely destroyed any confidence and trust with the QB they drafted #1 overall and currently have on their roster.

Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
H2o replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The name you will keep hearing from me until the draft is done? Chad Muma from Wyoming. I know it may not be popular with some, but a 2nd Round pick on this guy would be exactly what we need. He's smart, takes proper angles, a sure tackler (led the NCAA in solo tackles), and has the athleticism to cover in this defense. Also, I want us to sign Shaq on the cheap to be the final depth piece to the DL. -
I say we go get Tarik Cohen, Boston Scott, Cordarrelle Patterson, or Duke Johnson to play that receiving back role.

The one thing about this regime that is OUTSTANDING? No leaks. There was not a single word about us going after Von Miller. I mean nothing. Then BOOM💥💥💥
