  1. Agreed. The O-line is still the biggest question mark for me than QB. If they can't open holes for Shady or give whatever QB time to throw, everything else is moot...
  2. FF was my favorite Marvel series back in my teen years (along with Silver Surfer) and it's frustrating that Hollywood can't get it right. As to why so many comic book movies are in production, you only have to look at the internationl grosses--which is where the money's at. Domestic ticket sales basically cover production and marketing costs and the foreign sales are pure, unadaulterated profit... http://www.boxofficeguru.com/intl.htm Like minds on Fox selling the rights (don't hold your breath): http://screenrant.com/fantastic-four-movie-rights-fox-marvel-studios-2015/
  3. Camp is for guys who need to (1) make the team or (2) learn a new scheme. Carpenter's made the team and he knows how to kick...
  4. http://da.radio.cbssports.com/2015/08/06/brent-axe-ej-manuel-is-a-hot-mess/ More media falderah... (Well, an Axe is a tool after all)
  5. And yet...here we are on page 12 of the thread. One hand clapping, people. One hand...
  6. Big whoop. So Glenn Stout builds a website to aggregate long-form stories and give out awards? Not exactly the Pulitzer: "Glenn Stout has served as series editor of The Best American Sports Writing since its inception and has published articles in many national and regional publications. He worked his way through Bard College in the construction industry as a concrete laborer and form carpenter. He lives in Vermont." Actually, makes me think of the scene in "A Christmas Story"....
  7. You expect FTL and other "usual suspects" to understand the context of his remarks and comprehend them correctly?? Whoa... Better just to tune out them out and deny them the attention they seek...
  8. Because everything is infotainment...
  9. Just a practice body so Shady can rest his toe during the week...
  10. Or who has an agenda and who has an open mind... Imo
  11. Well, who exactly needs a 'guru' if your QB is good already? He's a 'turd polisher' and can only work with what he has.... One thing the media can do is drive a narrative--rightly or wrongly. The throw-by-throw commentary, even from guys like Carucci who've been around the block, is bugging me to no end. It captures eyeballs and clicks, but ultimately it may cause fan opinion to turn against a guy like EJ. That to me is the real reason why Saturday's scrimmage is so important...
  12. As much as I dislike Brady, I agree with all of his comments. Go figure...
  13. Prodigy was founded on February 13, 1984, as Trintex, a joint venture between CBS, computer manufacturer IBM, and retailer Sears, Roebuck and Company. (...I still have a prodigy.net email account, even though it was absorbed by AT&T a long while back)
  14. Johnny U or Y.A. Tittle, please...
  15. Ah yes, the good old days. An oldie but a goodie from our 'pater familias'.... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/38779-levy-perspective-from-a-respected-journalist/?p=559048
  16. It gets tiring talking about Sully, Bucky and Harrington but that's the gist of it. In a world awash in media coverage (even Astro and TSW are in that mix with their camp coverage), the boys at the Snooze are being marginalized--especially when they do little to cultivate national sources or are frozen out by the teams they cover, as these jamokes seem to be. Hyperbole and fake outrage are all the levers they have left to pull, as the only constant remaining in the universe is the moralistic, judgemental, knee jerk demographic that never seems to realize that their weenie's are being pulled...
