  1. Buddy looks great. Retirement is treating him well...
  2. Vic? Yes, but those were a long time ago...
  3. It's a mystery to me why a knowledgeable football fan would rely on anything the media excretes--what's wrong with just watching the game with own two eyes and going with that? IMO, the rising tide of media outlets, pundits, etc. 'interpreting' the game for us poor slubs is nothing more than a backed-up toilet...
  4. Juxtaposed against the new approach to practice: "Roman and Ryan’s time-saving methods are not limited to running concurrent practices. They have also found another simple way to ensure their fast-moving practices move even faster: They don’t correct mistakes on the field. They simply want to run as many plays in practice as possible, then they will address any mistakes to players in the film room later. “We are not going to call a timeout and stop the practice on the field to tell a receiver he needs to take a two-yard split inside the numbers,” Roman said. “The quickest way to get better at football is to play football. Not watch football and not talk about football. It gives players the opportunities to make mistakes.” Woods, the Bills’ receiver, said the no-mistake-correction philosophy has an added benefit for players because it allows a player to practice “stress-free” without walking on eggshells, afraid of offending their coach with a wrong route. That will come after practice." http://www.wsj.com/articles/nfls-best-practice-no-wasted-time-1440539319 So when E.J. "throws it in the media tent" due to a WR running the wrong route, are the media tweets (twits) knowledgeable enough to know what happened? Especially if he's been working with the 3s, where route-running mistakes are a lot more likely to occur?

  6. Meh. The writing is excellent (it's MMQB, after all), but in the end, all I see is a lot of pretty prose. I still get the impression he wrote this sitting in his bedroom going off of what happened in the past (both for the Bills and the Jets) rather than based what's taken place at SJF and in the two exhibition games so far. One line about TT? It's like he had the story written in June and just got around to publishing it now...
  7. Same here. They need some more veteran backup (or even starter) help. Anybody ever hear what happened to Gosder Cherilus?
  8. In the short time he's been back in Buffalo, Tyler Dunne's given ample proof that he'd be well qualified to take Sully's columnist job. Now all we just need Uncle Warren to launch another round of buyouts of the 'high priced talent.' Fingers crossed...
  9. I love MMQB but I think Benoit is their weakest writer. Not impressed with this 'analysis', which appears to have been done based on about five minutes of work...
  10. Yep. No harm, no foul.... http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/southern-ontario/siblings-hide-and-seek-game-led-to-child-3-being-locked-in-safe-20150820
  11. Money's a powerful motivator...
  12. A futile attempt to stay relevant.... Sully's playbook: http://positivewriter.com/why-no-one-is-paying-attention-to-you-and-how-to-change-it/
  13. You expect "people" around here to understand context and nuance? That's a heavy lift...Imo
  14. Trolls never get their facts straight...
  15. "Choke on it, Sully!" This board would melt down for sure...
  16. My take as well. E.J. is worth keeping around as a solid backup vs. Gay, who hasn't impressed enough to take up a roster space...
  17. To be fair, he had way more pressure in the third quarter than TT had in the first half. The backup OL was a tire fire...
